I find period panties to be really good, i didn’t even feel the blood in them when I used them! they tend to absorb more blood as well and are comfier.

the only downside is the washing of them, since it can be tedious to wash.

Pad& tampon alternatives?

are period panties good? i hate it when bloody pads stick to my skin and the wings always ruin my underwear and pads also slip around and thats so irritating so i normally use tampons but those increase my cramps like 10x and i hate this feeling of intrusion. same goes for diva cup. There’s been a massive fall in FGM rates across the African continent for girls under 14.

The figures are all taken roughly 20 years apart, in the mid 90s and then in the late 2010s. The rate in Western African has gone from 74% to 25%, in Northern Africa it’s gone from 60% to 14%.

Across the continent the overall rate has gone from 71% to 8%. 

This is just huge. I’m finding it difficult to wrap my head around the scale of it, the number of children those percentages represent. It feels like such a huge shift. It’s millions of girls growing up safer and healthier. 

And the researchers are saying their mothers are the driving force.

I think we need to strenghten our beliefs and values by reading more theory, both radfem and other political directions, and doing real life activism. Exchanging ideas. And maybe educate ourselves on different strategies people might use to hijack. And remember: people want to destroy this community because they see it as a threat to the patriarchy…so what we’re doing is working.

men's idea of protection is performative, not substantive. most men insist they're good and protective because they act territorial over us in public or toward other men (it's never really about us) when in reality, they'd actually protect us by holding other men accountable and reporting their sex-offending friends.

but they don't. and i think it's because most of them are complicit in the same crimes. telling on their friends is telling on themselves.

And the amount of likes for all of these posts (all of which are from gimmick accounts with 10-100k+ followers dedicated to hating women) shows that. Men do not see us as human beings. Straight men’s interest and attraction to women starts and end with sexual gratification. And there’s no reason to even explain this to other women as if it’s some hidden truth. They will literally tell you. They will get online and tell you they aren’t emotionally and romantically interested in women. That the concept of actually caring for and loving a woman is foreign to them. That you’re a sex doll and a set of holes to them.

Like who needs feminist theory to dissect all the ways in which misogyny manifests when it seems men are doing everything in their power to show women how much they fucking collectively hate us. Even blatantly regarding us as holes and sex dolls.

Also find it so interesting that these are tweets with millions of views but so called progressive twitter NEVER sees them or condemns them and instead opt to give attention to some random radfem with 300 followers saying men bad. THATS what’s a pressing issue to them. THATS proof that misandry is as prevalent and troublesome as misogyny meanwhile this is what women are subjected to.
