Kinda wondering what the fallout would’ve been if Gugu destroyed the glass cups during her fight with Jentry in the lair. It’s already bad enough that Jentry bolted after removing her powers and Gugu possessed people to try and stop her, but what if they never even got to that point? Maybe it’s intentional, or maybe a freak accident. Perhaps she pulls too hard with her ghost telekinesis or accidentally slams them into a wall. But in the end, Jentry sees her one chance at safety destroyed in front of her.

Gugu would never come back from that.

Wasn't sure which version of this I liked more, so here they both are. I've been stupid anxious lately and I started doodling the other night and this is what fell out. I'm a big fan of BJDs and doll customization in general. Maybe I'll make a Kit doll for real someday. . .

I feel like people fail to acknowledge jentry had limited knowledge of what was really going on with kit or see anything from her perspective really. texas fair ep rolls around, she'd been dealing with gugu lying to her and demons threatening and hurting her and boom the guy she likes is a demon hired by the other demon who killed her parent figure in front of her and tried to rip her soul from her body. yeah she'd want kit nowhere near her, she has no idea about his struggles with humanity

jentry is emotionally motivated, puts her feelings first, doesn't think much before acting which hurts her and the other people around her. she is deeply traumatized and most likely internalized the way people have used and manipulated her (especially recently (kit included??)) so her "using kit" then saying hypocritical things or acting in ways that are contradictory is in character and makes sense for her. she is very hurt and very flawed and her behavior led to horrible outcomes she regrets

i also really liked this insight from the head writer of the show about this exact thing

wehhh thinking about jentry chau hours and how ppl say jentry did kit dirty (which she did) but imo, the writing is really what did them both so dirty. Jentry's character was done dirty by that whole kit shows her part of his monster form and she is like "get away from me forever demon" writing choice, and idk maybe i just like Kit, but it felt really out of character for Jentry to be so rejecting. like what about how she and kit are both seen as monsters by other people? like what happened to him wanting a soul? what about you are who you chose to be? did the show forget it's own fucking themes??? sobs

Jentry took a step in front of Tokki and let her shoulder bag down to the ground as she rose up hands out. Mira noticed the placement and exchanged a look with Zoey and Rumi who nodded in response.

"Hey... I don't suppose it's possible nothing I said was correct and you're not some sort of supernatural warriors here to ruin my day?"

"Relax, kid," Mira said. "We're not after anybody."
