Unconventional therapy - Twinyard Appreciation Week - Day 2 | “bottle episode”. Andrew and Aaron attend their weekly therapy session but things don’t quite go to plan when the door handle falls off and they’re stuck in there together.

Paying a debt - Twinyard Appreciation Week - Day 3 | Cousin Time. Nicky tries to plan a movie night again but everyone seems to be busy as usual. Andrew and Aaron figure it’s about time they pay Nicky back for all he did to take care of them.

A peaceful day - Twinyards Appreciation Week - Day 4 | Birthday Shenanigans. Andrew and Aaron have never cared for their birthday. This year however, their family has planned a peaceful day for them all to relax and open presents. They see the good side of birthdays for the first time.

Lost and found - Twinyard Appreciation Week Day 1: Andrew and Aaron. Aaron gets in a fight with Andrew and storms out. He runs into some trouble along the way and doesn’t know who to call.

Momentary Disaster - Twinyards Appreciation Week Day 2: Disaster. Aaron and Neil are sent to do a grocery run but Neil loses something along the way. Aaron is there to help him.

First time flowers - Twinyards Appreciation Week 2022 Day 3: Colour. The Minyard Twins are gifted flowers for the first time.

The pink hair incident - Twinyard’s Appreciation Week Day 4: Metamorphosis. When Neil walked past their shared dorm and saw a flash a pink, he had to do a double take. It was definitely Andrew, his pierced ears gave that much away and the layers of black clothing also remained the same. His hair however? Well…it was pink.

When the ice begins to melt - Twinyards Appreciation Week Day 5: Outsider POV. It was no secret that Abby Winfield loved her Foxes. She loved their determination, their fierceness, their love for each other and she felt blessed in that she got to take care of them over the years. Andrew Minyard’s group however, held a special place in her heart.

Twin judgement - Twinyards Appreciation Week 2022 day 6: Food. Andrew and Aaron go on a trip to McDonald’s together.

Broken Compass - Twinyards Appreciation Week Day 7: True North. The idea of soulmates was something Andrew had never been keen on. Unfortunately for him, he was just the same as everyone else. The compass that he’d been born with, etched onto his left wrist, was apparently meant to point in the direction of his soulmate when they got close enough to each other. Andrew’s compass had never moved.

First there was Kevin.

He came to Vaymak's house broken, with an open fracture and pleading eyes. All he needed was protection from Rico and his forced ones. And Andrew offered it to him. And he agreed. Only after a long few months it turned into quick kisses at night training, on the roof or in the room when no one was there.

Then there was Nathaniel. He was a distant pipe dream, playing for the Ravens and constantly flashing with Rico and his entourage (or rather with its remnants). This sympathy (he was terribly strong gay and noticed handsome men, nothing more) did not interfere with his time with Kevin in any way. He was very handsome with his red hair and icy blue hair, but he clearly didn't need Rico's henchman (another one, but not about that), and this pain in the ass is definitely not interested in him.

But soon Vesninsky appears on the court, right during training, on the threshold, all wounded and covered in blood. He's a bit like Day in his early days at Palmetto, only he didn't have as much damage as Nathaniel. Renee is one of the first to notice him and runs up to him at an amazing (at least for a goalkeeper) speed, says something, and after receiving an answer picks him up, throwing his arm over his neck.

No matter how amazing it was, he came to Kevin. What is even more surprising is that he categorically refused medical help from Abby until the coach mentioned the hospital and even more so the police. After the examination, he looked better physically and gloomier in person.

Vaymak offers him a place as a striker in the team. He agrees. Andrew, like Kevin, offers him protection. The answer is the same.

Despite Nathaniel's attractiveness, Minyard doesn't even approach him. In addition to the obvious reasons, he thinks (and sees) that the relationship between him and Day is more like a brotherly friendship, and Kevin is quite enough for him.

Everything changes a few months later, a few weeks before the start of the fall season, when Andrew accidentally finds these two in the locker room. Alone. Kissing.

It's enough to set off a mini explosion in his brain as a warning to a bigger one when he's left alone.

He (thanks to his titanic endurance and some skills in silent movement) quickly leaves there unnoticed.

No one needs to know how hard he was gripping the steering wheel when Day and Vesninsky finally show up and get in the car.

And then, after about a week, Nathaniel disappears. Without a trace. Generally. I went out for a run in the morning and didn't come back.

Kevin is on the verge of a panic attack.

He barely explains to the others about his family, past, and his guess where he might be.

And then Wymack gets a call from the FBI in Baltimore.

And the whole team, without collusion, gathers faster than a bullet, goes to the court and gets on the team bus.

A few hours later, after checking into the hotel (helpfully provided by the agents), Nathaniel appears, covered in bandages and blood, but alive. Kevin immediately jumps up to him and starts babbling unintelligibly in French, and Nat pats his cheek and answers, apparently calming him down.

And then the agents declare that Vesninsky, at least for now, is leaving with them. For a while.

Kevin volunteers with him and calls Andrew with a pleading, but not insistent look.

Minyard is powerless.

It is at the FBI headquarters, after several long and exhausting hours of interrogations, that the red—haired guy gets a new name for himself - Neil Abram Josten.

Andrew would never admit it, but he's damn proud of him.

And when Neil whispers "Yes or no?" into Minyard's lips the next day, he barely restrains himself from pouncing on this fucking pain in the ass. Instead, he looks into the eyes of Kevin, whose face is decorated with a light sincere smile and who nods, answering a silent question.

And then Andrew kisses Josten. It's soft, weird and not at all like kissing Kevin, but it feels so right.

And his kisses with Kevin and Neil give him a sense of fullness.

Perhaps they were all he needed.

Только через долгие несколько месяцев это переросло в быстрые поцелуи на ночных тренировках, крыше или в комнате, когда никого не было.

Потом был Натаниэль. Он был далёкой несбыточной мечтой, играющей за Воронов и постоянно мелькающая с Рико и его свитой (точнее с её остатками). Эта симпатия (он был ужасно сильным геем и замечал красивых мужчин, ничего более) никак не мешала его времяпровождению с Кевином. Он был очень красив со своими рыжими волосами и льдисто голубыми волосами, но приспешник Рико (ещё один, но не об этом) ему явно был не нужен, да и эта заноза в заднице точно им не заинтересована.

Но вскоре на корте, прямо во время тренировки, на пороге появляется Веснински, весь израненный и в крови. Он чем-то напоминает Дэя в его первые дни в Пальметто, только у него не было столько же повреждений, сколько у Натаниэля. Рене одна из первых замечает его и на удивительной (по крайней мере, для вратаря) скорости подбегает к нему, что-то говорит, а после получения ответа подхватывает его, перекидывая его руку через свою шею.

Как бы не было удивительно, он пришёл к Кевину. Что ещё удивительнее — он категорически отказывался от медицинской помощи от Эбби до того, пока тренер не упомянул больницу и тем более полицию. После осмотра он выглядел лучше физически и мрачнее в лице.

Ваймак предлагает ему место нападающего в команде. Он соглашается. Эндрю, как и Кевину, предлагает ему защиту. Ответ такой же.

Несмотря на привлекательность Натаниэля, Миньярд даже не подходит к нему. Помимо очевидных причин, он думает (и видит), что между ним и Дэем отношения, больше похожие на братско-дружеские, да и Кевина ему вполне достаточно.

Всё меняется через несколько месяцев, за несколько недель до начала осеннего сезона, когда Эндрю совершенно случайно застаёт этих двоих в раздевалке. Одних. Целующихся.

Это достаточно, чтобы устроить мини взрыв в его мозге как предупреждение к более крупному, когда он останется один.

Он (благодаря своей титанической выдержке и некоторым умениям в бесшумном передвижении) быстро уходит оттуда незамеченным.

Никому не нужно знать, как сильно он сжимал руль, когда Дэй и Веснински наконец-то появляются и садятся в машину.

А затем, через примерно неделю, Натаниэль пропадает. Без следа. Вообще. Вышел утром на пробежку и не вернулся.

Кевин на грани панической атаки.

Он еле как объясняет остальным о его семье, прошлом и его предположение, где он может быть.

А потом Ваймаку звонят фбр из Балтимора.

И вся команда, не сговариваясь, собирается быстрее пули, едут на корт и садятся в командный автобус.

Через несколько часов, после заселения в отель (услужливо предоставленный агентами), появляется Натаниэль, весь в бинтах и крови, но живой. Кевин сразу же подскакивает к нему и начинает неразборчиво тараторить по французски, а Нат гладит его по щеке и отвечает, видимо, успокаивает.

А затем агенты заявляют, что Веснински, по крайней мере, сейчас, уезжает с ними. На какое-то время.

Кевин вызывается с ним и просящим, но не настаивающим взглядом зовёт с собой Эндрю.

Миньярд бессилен.

Именно в штабе фбр, после нескольких долгих и изнурительных часов допросов рыжеволосый парень получает себе новое имя — Нил Абрам Джостен.

Эндрю никогда бы не признался, но он чертовски горд за него.

И когда на следующий день Нил шепчет в губы Миньярда «Да или нет?», тот еле сдерживается, чтобы не наброситься на эту грёбаную занозу в заднице. Вместо этого он смотрит в глаза Кевину, лицо которого украшено лёгкой искренней улыбкой и который кивает, отвечая на безмолвный вопрос.

И тогда Эндрю целует Джостена. Это мягко, странно и совсем не похоже на поцелуи с Кевином, но это ощущается так правильно.

И его поцелуи с Кевином и Нилом дают ему чувство полноценности.

Возможно, они - всё, чего ему не хватало.
