THE LEAKED EMAILS FROM THE DNC ARE PRETTY DAMNING
The “Democratic” primaries were rigged from the beginning. Sanders said he was running against the entire Democratic Party establishment, and he wasn’t lying. There was never any impartiality. Under Debbie Wasserman-Schultz, the DNC thoroughly abused it’s authority to prop up Hillary Clinton.
And yes, I know: “But Trump…”
Here’s the thing: Wrong is wrong. Rational adults can acknowledge the more than obvious dangers of a Trump Presidency, and simultaneously be aware of and criticize the widespread cheating by the Clinton campaign, superdelegates, and the DNC, headed by Debbie Wasserman Schultz, Clinton’s former 2008 campaign manager.
If you pay attention, over the coming days and weeks, you’re going to learn quite a lot about journalism and so-called Clinton “progressives” (aka neo-liberals), but most importantly, you’re going to learn something about integrity. Watch for the journalists, pundits and surrogates who either won’t talk about the leaked DNC emails, or who will try to minimize the enormous implication that the presidency can be bought and sold.
People and news organizations who reject serious discussions on the ethical breaches - especially “liberal” outlets like MSNBC - are revealing that they care more about a lone candidate than transparency, fairness and basic democracy. If the Republican Party did what is evidenced that the Democratic Party has done, Democratic politicians and pundits would be in a hysterical clamor. But because it’s Hillary Clinton, there’s little or no hand wringing?
Using the might of the DNC to maliciously malign opponents, and to squash fair critiques & honest disagreements in a political primary is undemocratic. Lots of honest people, especially reporters, should have a very big problem with that.
The DNC uses tax dollars, so it’s almost a foregone conclusion that federal laws were broken.
Here are some of the revelations from the Wikileaks email dump, so far:
The “impartial” DNC repeatedly colluded with the Clinton campaign and actively worked against Bernie Sanders throughout the entire primary season
The DNC successfully pressured a major news outlet to change the tone of their unfavorable coverage on Hillary Clinton
The DNC colluded with corporate media and encouraged (if not payed) reporters to plant false stories in the news to smear Sanders and his supporters
The DNC was prepared to use Sanders’ religion against him, or more accurately - they were preparing to use his still alleged lack of religion against him
Many DNC superdelegates picked Clinton as the Democratic nominee before any opponents could announce their candidacies, and before the primaries hed even began
The DNC may have facilitated skirting campaign finance laws, if not outright broken said laws
The Associated Press sought the approval of the DNC prior to releasing it’s story about Clinton being the presumptive Democratic nominee before the California primaries
The DNC helped push the false narrative about “thrown chairs” at the Nevada caucuses, even though it knew these stories to be false
The DNC intentionally mis-labeled contributions from doners as contribution from LBGT supporters, when they obviously were not
The DNC was making contingency plans to sabotage Sanders’ political career
And that’s just for starters…
Finally, before anyone misinterprets this as an attempt to sway people into not voting for Hillary Clinton, let me be very clear: Donald Trump is a racist and a fascist. That goes without saying. But Trump doesn’t control the DNC. This has absolutely nothing to do with Trump. So whether you vote for Hillary or not, this is still a serious problem.
You can be as pro-Hillary as you want, and also admit that the DNC has been run like an organized criminal empire. No one’s best interests are served by ignoring this.
