Two years had been long enough; Jess was tired of laying low. If Sherlock was back and running the streets, she saw no reason why she couldn't be too. Of course she was certain, she wasn't the only one with that idea. 

And almost like clockwork, she heard her phone go off. She knew instantly by the ringtone, who it was. "Two years and that's the first thing you say to me?" As she turned on the tv, she couldn't help but wonder exactly what he was up to.

Jim was coming back. That much was certain, but there had been rumors Jessica was too. He couldn’t be out shined by his female counterpart.

After the plans had been made, he waited five minutes before his debut. Calling her up, ” Jessica, darling. Turn on the Telly.”

I hardly see how leaving makes me a moron. I was bored with life, needed to take a break, 'reinvent myself'. Choose whichever sounds the best to you. 

[Honestly she wasn't quite sure why Charlie was the first she came back to. Probably had something to do with his brutal honesty. He didn't hate her, but he didn't like her either. Call her crazy but she liked this about him.] 

Our relationship is largely onesided, there isn't much you have done for me. [She wasn't sure of his thoughts on this, but in her own mind there were a few positive moments shared between them.] And yet, here I am.

She didn't expect him to miss her in the slightest sense, but it was fairly obvious that he wasn't pleased with her disappearing without word.]

You don’t get to just vanish for a few months and then come back, expecting him to be a-okay with you. Hell no. The bitterness in his gaze was hidden behind sunglasses, but that made the tension in the air no less palpable.
