it fits a loaf of bread! I’m so stoked! I had a long thoughtful post about these market bags, but maybe later!

Ok so slipper knitting didn’t go terribly! Jumping into the fray with a pair of “real” socks in some BWM pinkish sock yarn.

Using the pattern Vidia Socks from this book i’ve had for yonks.

I’m the last person in my irl knitting group to tackle socks, so here’s my contribution. A chunky slipper from the Sasquatch Slipper Socks pattern by Michele Bernstein.

Now to get #2 underway before the boredom sets in!

I have finished my latest chook (Emotional Support Chicken™️)! This little guy can now join his mama in the flock.
Please welcome Pollo Pascal, named for his inspiration, Pedro Pascal. And *those* purple pants.

The pants in question.

Adding to my newfound obsession for the Emotional Support Chicken…
This little guy is fabulous and joyful and I love it.

Look at this motherfucking beautiful seam

And have a dash of purple Sandperson just for the hell of it

More to come…..

I think starting with the sleeves has been the biggest win against ADHD in knitting for me
They are fast, I usually knit them in the round, a couple times I started a sleeve as kinda a Big Swatch...
AND they are finished fast! Much faster than if I start with body! So it's an extra Dopamine Hit from a Smaller Finish
And especially in top-down raglan, all that is left after is just. A tube!!! And most of the work is done!
...although there still will be the matter of continuing sometimes. Because the body takes a lot of time, and a tube can get boring without the Extra Stimulation (like the yarn being self-striping, or there being more patterning...
Yet still, finishing that big block that is body and THEN remembering that oh right, you aren't done, there are still the SLEEVES... That's the one I dislike, haha
#knitting#knitterlyfe#sleeve-first sweater construction for the win#<- prev#all of these#also if i have not much yarn... i can live with a cropped sweater but i need my sleeves
