Akira's leg never healed properly after the interrogation room when the police stomped it, so while it's mostly fine, he has good and bad days with it. Touching is usually fine, but if someone were to lean into or sit on it putting all their weight on it, that might be uncomfortable.

It's also part of why in this AU, he ended up training pretty frequently with Sumire as a physical outlet, and he gravitated toward bars because it gave him a rush akin to his grappling hook without being strenuous on his legs (so long as he didn't fall).

Ok ok, I'm done messing with him. Shinji's turn! I had to give him his horrible posture and let him be sentimental.

Design notes (+ bonus first sheet) ⤵

Design is relatively the same, just this pose was a little too upright for my taste haha

He's around 180cm due to the movie putting him around 182-185cm as opposed to the 177cm in the game.

He dresses warm and comfortably while still maintaining his own style. Corduroy bellbottoms and thick sweaters. His jacket is Kotone's, found among her belongings at the dorm. It was already oversized on her, so it fits him pretty well all things considered.

He carries around his broken pocketwatch.

His hair and stubble aren't exactly a conscious choice; he just loses time and forgets to shave or cut his hair. While he's fine wearing it down, his style of choice for tying it up is a low or mid bun.

He doesn't have much excess energy, and he has aches and pains that flare up especially when it's cold. Overall, he deals with poor health frequently. He'll often need to pull up a stool during the workday, or close the bistro early on his worst days.

Finally making some ref sheets for this AU, so I gotta start with Goro.

Design notes ⤵

He grew out his hair after impulsively chopping it off while in rehab. He rarely uses product to style it anymore, so it's been free to wave into its more natural state. He does, however, still use high quality shampoo and conditioner.

No makeup to cover his eyebags. If he's worried about a first impression, he'll put in the effort, but otherwise, nah.

His sleeve is primarily Loki, but there are elements of Robin starting on the back shoulder. He wanted their mark on him to keep. He got his tattoo soon after rehab and lost most of his remaining finances to it. He wasn't exactly planning on what to do with himself, so he didn't care about saving it.

Akira painted his nails red once, and sometimes he'll keep it up if he's bored enough.

That being said, he's rarely without his gloves. Exceptions are showering and sleeping, mostly. Yes, even in summer.

His fashion taste reflects more of his blackmask & Hereward, but he's not against dressing nice. Once he's settled in a proper room, he varies up his wardrobe a little more.

Most days are leg day. His leather pants are tactical (no one believes him).

Thank you for answering about the daemon AU! I love it, it's such a spicy situation for Akechi. Do you guys have thoughts about how the Phantom Thieves and Akechi's work under Shido goes in this universe? Is the Metaverse and change of hearts still a thing, or is the AU grounded outside of supernatural shenanigans like that?

Thank you for taking interest! And I feel you completely... I'm already such a sucker for two-faced characters, but give them even higher stakes and disadvantages when it comes to hiding their true selves, and I go feral haha truthfully, the AU still maintains much of the same plot and elements as the original game, just with the added dæmons.

We've mostly focused our attentions on the day-to-day life aspect, though. Probably should play around more with the supernatural, otherworldly half of the narrative sldfjsslfj

I must know if you guys have more lore for your daemon AU that you'd be okay with sharing. Your art is gorgeous, and I'm loving Akechi's struggles with keeping his messed up daemon a secret from everyone while still being obligated to keep them near him. His fears, his struggles.... Fantastic <3

Thank you so much! I'm so happy you enjoyed the art and little peek at the au! Despite not having read the books (yet), the worldbuilding fascinates me a lot, and I got really attached to Goro's situation with his dæmon and what the relationship would look like.

His spiraling in the top corner there, for example... I've thought a lot about how he works so hard to keep his dæmon secret and how especially important it is to protect himself from Shido with that in mind. Minki told me about the repercussions of separating from your dæmon and how it can harm the person, especially mentally. I wanted to show him in a moment, perhaps after enduring a meeting with Shido, since he would have hidden his dæmon somewhere far enough away in the building to not be seen or heard.

Loki is pretty opinionated and outspoken, as you can imagine haha Robin's more likely to embody the Crow of Judgment meme. Goro unfortunately does not treat them well at all. Loki's head (and their shared body) is based on a piebald crow, and Robin's head is a hooded crow.

Your tma au art is making me feel things /pos. Would other characters serve other entities, like shido and the web? Would Goro serve the hunt or the end, or would he be haunted by the lonely? I wanna hear ur thoughts the art is sooo good i want More (only if u feel like it obv)

sadly, much like my rule of rose au piece, the tma one mostly started and ended with shuake entity assignments (Akira with the Eye and Goro with the Hunt). my partner-in-crime (@minkidoodles) who i brainstorm aus with brought up the concepts for one of their own projects, and so i just kinda ran with it for a separate art piece. here's what they said about 'em ⤵️💜

thank you again for this ask! sorry to disappoint without many thoughts myself. while i've listened to and enjoyed tma, i consider myself more a listener and casual fan than a creator when it comes to its concepts. but i'm always happy to hear what y'all think! and what you said about both shido and goro is super interesting 👀
