I actually do feel like the "unemployed friend on a Tuesday" meme actually helps de-stigmatize unemployment because it frequently affirms that when you don't have a job you're more likely to be getting up to some weird shit rather than just lazing around. But I also feel like the unemployed friend is frequently up to some random shit because there's a whole pile of miscellaneous life tasks that full-time employment keeps people from. The unemployed friend is helping their cousin move, or babysitting, or checking in with a neighbor with mobility issues. The unemployed friend is a walking thesis on the inflexibility of our current labor landscape and just how much work exists outside of work.

dental work help needed (again)

hi there, i'm sorry to ask for help but i'm in need again. as many of you know, i recently had surgery done on my gums in preparation for the removal of a problematic wisdom tooth. thankfully i was able to get help with the cost of that surgery, but unfortunately i'm not gonna be able to afford the actual extraction myself and i've already used up all of my insurance benefits for the year. as i'm already still paying off the root canal i had done last year, my only option for paying for this extraction is asking for community aid. the cost of the extraction was estimated at $750 for the tooth. i'm still out of work because of my disability and i've been selling things i own online but regardless the costs of everything in my life just keep draining me and draining me. anything helps, shares especially. i have an appointment scheduled for the 17th but will reschedule it if i must. thank you for your time
