keep seeing posts that are like "if your OCD is ordering you're tidy not OCD" and it annoys me because thats not true. OCD is about what happens if you do not do it. if you think you not sorting your books by size means you are a horrible person and doomed to hell, and therefore you have to sort your books by size, that is in line with OCD. if you sort your coffee pods by caffeine content because you think if you do not do otherwise, the coffee becomes contaminated, that is in line with OCD. if you have to colour-coordinate your clothes because otherwise a horrible thing will happen to you if you do not, that is still in line with OCD. the key part here is the motivator for why you do things the way you do.
