me after watching the 2x09 extended promo and seeing archie still being an ass:

If there are any young Riverdale fans that follow me, please do not think that Betty’s actions in tonight’s episode were something to look up to. No matter your age, you should never feel as if you need to objectify yourself like that for any reason. If you are asked to do something that makes you uncomfortable or puts you in a terrible position, please don’t do it. 

This is something that I take so seriously. This is so much bigger than Bughead or Varchie or Barchie or any other ship. A 16 year old girl stripping in a bar in front of grown men is not okay. It doesn’t matter that she did it to get closer to Jughead or to protect Jughead. A significant other who truly loves you (as Jughead does Betty), would not want you to put yourself in a position like that. 

Riverdale viewers of all ages and all genders: please understand that you should never feel as if you need to put yourself in an uncomfortable position for the person you love. Never compromise your own character or mental health for someone else.
