So, it's a known fact that MXTX called Wei Wuxian "Wi-fi" in her notes bc they're homophones. What you may not know is that this inspired the Spanish-speaking fandom to do the same with other MDZS characters bc pronouncing their names is hard, and it's really damn funny how they get progressively further from the actual name:

Lan Zhan = Lancha (small boat) 🛥️

Lan Xichen/Zewu-Jun = cebollón (big onion) or cebollín (spring onion) 🧅

Jin Guangyao = guayaba (guava)

Jin Zixuan = el pavo. It would be short for pavorreal (peacock) 🦚 but also, just pavo means turkey 🦃

Jin Guangshan = el Guango (slang word for something that's flabby/loose) or Viejo Rabo Verde (lit. Green-tailed Old Man but means dirty old man)

Nie Mingjue = Exodia/Lego/rompecabezas (puzzle) 🧩 for obvious reasons

Nie Huaisang = Sócrates (Bc supposedly Socrates once said "I only know that I know nothing")

Xiao Xingchen = Casimiro (a real but old-timey name, but also a pun on casi miro = I almost see. 'Cause he's blind.)

Xue Yang= el Brayan (it's a LatAm meme that any lowly criminal that's likely to stab you in a robbery is named some misspelling of Brian or Kevin)

Wen Ning = rollito de canela (literally cinnamon roll)

Jiang Cheng = uva amargada (embittered grape) 🍇

Lan Qiren = barbas de chivo (goat-like beard) 🐐

And then Lan Sizhui = Rabanito, which doesn't count bc it means Little Radish and that's canon.
