Progress Update 8
I've made a few changes in terms of the gameplay, originally my deliverable (video game) was going to have levels, with 3 rounds (3mins per rounds, totaling 9mins) then a 10min auto-intermission before the player could access the next level. Now I've changed it to 30mins of gameplay and then a 10min auto-intermission before players could play again. This would be similar to Vampire Survivor where players have 15 to 30mins of gameplay before the game ends.
So far I've added a 30min timer to the game scene, so now I just have to add a 10min timer to the auto-intermission scene and add in the audio/sound effects.
The idea/solution to my deliverable is to have an auto-intermission in the game to allow players to have a break as opposed to playing non-stop for hours on end. The idea is that players can still play video games with violent content in it but just in moderation.

Progress Update 7
Started working on the auto-intermission screen, this will be played in between each level and will last up to 10 minutes. The purpose of this screen is to act as a moderator, ensuring that players will take a break from the gameplay.
I'm still working on assembling the playable levels then after that I'll add in the audio/sound effects.

Progress Update 6
As of right now, I've finished a Pause Menu screen with working functions. This will allow players to pause the game, quit it, resume, or head back to the main menu screen. It will also show the game controls.

So far I've been working on bits and pieces of my project, this sort of helps me to get parts of my project done or at the very least partially done. I've learned that focusing on one part is a bit stressful especially if something goes wrong and I can't fix it in that moment.
I've also been creating the character animations in Piskel for the fighting mechanics, and will be putting it together in Unity.

Here are some character designs that I worked on, the art style is simple pixel art.

Progress Report Update 4
Finished up the MainMenu screen last week, I wanted to keep it simple. All buttons (Play, Options, Quit) have working functions. I also have my character designs ready; I'll be posting that sometime next week. Up next, I'll be working on developing Level 1 for my video game.
