What a week and weekend! I owe a millions thank you’s! Today on @cartoonist.kayfabe Geof Darrow tells us about THE MAKING OF Hardboiled! This book changed my brain. Thanks Geof Darrow for making these comics and for taking time to talk about them! Spent the week signing Hulk Grand Design and sharing all your pics of Hulk Grand Design! Thank you to everyone for supporting this book. What a great week! Then ComicsPRO Pittsburgh! I love comics retailers! Spent two days talking to 100+ retailers and came away inspired by their creativity, hard work, and history. What a convention. Thank you to all the retailers who changed comics with their hard work over the last 50 years. I look forward to working with you and continuing to make more comics! . Posted @withregram • @kirbycomicsstore Best Trade Paperback of this New Comic Book Day is Hulk Grand Design Treasury Edition by @jimruggart This is the perfect ending? to the Grand Design Saga first started by @ed_piskor for his X-men Grand Design and @tom_scioli Fantastic Four Grand Design! These took a long time to get here but judging from how they sold so far, they are still on everyone’s want list! I loved showing a father who came in with his son from Boston and watched both of them light up once I put one of these green monsters in their hands! I told them that if they wanted the original issues, we still had some left on our wall of New Comics, but the young man said he wanted the Treasury Edition! It’s always a blessing to get the young collectors-readers into some comic history, especially if it’s done by one of the best comic creators and historians around! If you don’t believe me just listen to the @cartoonist.kayfabe YouTube and see what vintage gems Jim, Ed and Tom tear into! Comic History is so important right now as we need to pass along all that we’ve read and learned to the young Padawans so they can pass it on through the generations!
