20-22 Westport to Galway. This is one of my favourites
20th drive to Galway. We wound our way along the coast (called Wild Atlantic way). Stopping to take the odd photo. Then stopped in at Roundstone for coffee. They were practicing for their gala which was to held the next day. The gala involved their sailing ships or boats. This area also had dog beach which had the finest of white sand, plus a couple of dogs. We arrived in Galway so wandered around in local area where we were staying.

18-20th Londonderry to Westport
On our way to Westport we went via Glencar to see the waterfall. Was a big day of driving, so happy to to wander down to the beach, just down from where we were staying.
19th We headed out in search of beaches, national parks and Achill Island. Dick got a couple of swims. Because of the rain some of the beaches were closed due to pollution. Came back through a National Park. This one without trees. Just huge areas of bush, rock, loughs and sheep.

17th day tripping
We headed to Malin Head most Northern point in Ireland. Was windy wet and cool, but the ocean didn鈥檛 seem that rough. Nearly blown off the track. Then headed to Downing to check out the beach and home through the Glenveagh National Park. Lots of Loch/Lough to be seen, goats and sheep along the sides of the roads. I have learnt that the speed limits on the roads are just guides. 80 signs means to some people yes it鈥檚 okmto travel at 30-40 馃槱... loving the Ireland limo ( huge tractor towing a trailer just as big) takes up the whole road .... at least they pull over where ever they can unlike most cars.
