This family has a set of twins younger than 5 and are exremely sick and don't have enough food for sustenance I am in contact with the mother Alaa so if you have anything to ask don't hesitate .

with my nakba posts, here's some website recommendations if you want to learn on the history of specific depopulated palestinian areas:

palestine remembered is probably the most famous and comprehensive website with full documentations of former locations and depopulated villages. it also lists information on palestinian refugee camps, guestbooks, and the ability to upload pictures. information on each village varies.

zochrot is an organization dedicated to teaching both palestinians and israelis about the 1948 nakba (which is not covered well if at all in israeli schools, as you can probably imagine), which includes documenting information on villages and even an app. information on each village varies.

the interactive encyclopedia for the palestinian question's places page has some detailed histories and a map as well, but doesn't go into the detail of the last two sites, and doesn't have pictures or sources.

many villages also have their own websites, and many of them are also in english (for example, the one i linked for kafr bir'im). honestly just look up (village name) + website and if it's there you'll find it.

wikipedia also has surprisingly comprehensive coverage of the villages, the articles include a little more of the "war" background than the other websites do.

all that remains: the palestinian villages occupied and depopulated by israel in 1948 is a famous book by palestinian historian walid khalidi which gives a detailed account of what became of 400 different depopulated palestinian villages. it was released in 1992, so it's not current, but many of the things he wrote still hold.

YESTERDAY: Oxfam reports that Israel kills about 250 Palestinians daily—‘the deadliest conflict in the 21st century’ they called it.

00.51: Israeli air strike targeted civil defense forces and paramedics who were rescuing victims of a previous air strike in Khan Younis.

01.05: Palestinian journalists have been receiving calls from Israeli numbers instructing the refugees to evacuate their homes. Another journalist reported receiving calls from multiple Israeli numbers.

04.34: The IOF uses a bulldozer to damage underlying infrastructure and roads during the raid on Nour Shams refugee camp in Tulkarem

10.12: A group of Palestinian captives who were abducted by IOF from Gaza were released this morning after weeks of incarceration. They were transferred to Abu Youssef Al-Najjar Hospital in Rafah for treatment, as they had been subjected to abuse while in captivity

12.05: Floods of sewage water and tons of garbage fill the schools where thousands of displaced Palestinians are taking to them as shelters in the north of Gaza

14.27: Palestinians in occupied Jerusalem had gathered to perform Friday prayer on the streets after being denied entry to Al-Aqsa mosque. Shortly after the IOF began attacking the group with tear gas.

15.07: Israeli forces stormed a Palestinian house in the town of Sinjil, Ramallah, and set up a military observation point on its roof. They prevented the residents of the house from entering and leaving, locked them in a single room, and did not allow them to use any form of communication.

The Israeli occupation dropped leaflets in Al-Bureij today (Times of Gaza) that read:

"You are located in an critical battle zone. For your safety leave immediately and head to known shelters in Deir-Al-Balah" (25-12-23)

Here’s what the situation in Deir-Al-Balah has been this past week up until this morning:

Dr Ebraheem works in the Al-Aqsa Martyr’s Hospital in Deir-Al-Balah. This is what he’s got to say about the situation in Deir-Al-Balah

In a post written on his blog, Dr Ebraheem describes the situation at the hospital further:

“I saw bodies coming spewing dust as if they were a sponge dipped in ash. I saw children bleeding and sinking into a coma because heavy stones came on their weak heads. I saw people whose colors, shapes, and names changed, where at a certain moment it was not possible to know who was injured, as they said: ‘Clean his face from the dust, perhaps we might recognize him.’

They do, and discover that he is so-and-so, the kind and simple man, as he was sitting in his house because he had no other place to escape.

I saw people confused by the number of victims - because of their large number—‘How many dead did we count today? Did we miscount? I told you, in the last hour, two girls came as martyrs, two children with bleeding heads, ten young men who came without vital signs in one fell swoop at the very least, lumps of flesh (parts) in a small bag, and open heads from which the brain can be seen.’

I sat with someone who was talking to himself and asking: ‘All these injured and martyrs were like us an hour ago, they were with us.’

A little while ago they were alive (like us), so when will our turn come?”

meanwhile, we have people making excuses saying palestinians are given “ample time to evacuate”. evacuate where?! where should they go? everywhere they go there is murder, rubble, bombings and destruction. nowhere is safe. it’s all a trap!

how is this justice? how can you still look at all of this and say this is “self defense”? that this is about “fighting hamas”. this isn’t. this was never about hamas. if it was… they wouldn’t be torturing innocent people like this. they wouldn’t prevent aid from reaching a dying man.

Watch the crimes of the settler-colonial state so many of you support and root for. This is the news your local western news channel will not report on.

The Palestinians have nowhere to flee to. They are stuck. Surrounded by bombs, tanks and artillery. Journalist Motaz Azaiza has said it is now “a life or death situation” (full translation of his post)

The Palestinians are being tossed around, forcibly being displaced.

They are also deliberately being led astray with unclear instructions and living their lives feeling unsafe no matter where they go.

Their houses are being taken over after being killed or displaced. While the IOF soldiers desecrate them further by making vile jokes and celebrating such heinous acts.

Palestinians barely have any means to treat the thousands upon thousands of injured civilians.

Meanwhile… IOF has gotten more weaponry and reinforcements with the support of the US
