"I'd like to have you cook one time~ I bet it's really yummy. Ah I'm glad you're enjoying your job. Mine's really good, it's honestly not much different than my last one so I'm already adjusted super fast." He nodded and took another bite. "It keeps me busy, that's what I need."

She nodded quickly, reaching for the glass in front of her and taking a sip of water. “I’ll be happy to return the favor, too..I can cook pretty well myself!" She carefully set the glass down again, lightly sliding her tongue across her bottom lip. “Oh, just lots of dancing..I can’t complain about that at all! This new job is really amazing so far. How’s your new one going for you?"

He watched her with interest and smiled. "I'm really really glad you like, I'll cook again for you sometime.. eventually." He chuckled. "So what have you been up to, Princess? Everything with your new job going okay? I hope they're treating you alright."

She laughed softly and covered her mouth in a quick reaction to the compliment, smiling happily as she looked over at him. “Thank you Jonghyunnie!" She toyed with the edge of her napkin as he left for the kitchen, waiting patiently for him to return; he was faster than she expected, and she thanked him as he set a glass of water in front of her.

"I’m sure you won’t turn rainbow, but just in case I promise I’ll drive you to the hospital if you do!" She smiled and twirled her fork delicately, taking a small bite of the pasta. “Mm..I agree, it’s very good..you cook really well!"

"You're cute." He smiled brightly and stood. "Okay two waters~" Happily he went into the kitchen, pouring them each a glass and hurrying out so she didn't have to be alone for too long. Sitting her glass down first, Jonghyun took his seat again and poked at the pasta with his fork.

"Alright... here it goes. If I turn rainbow or something we'll know it's not good, kekeke." He swirl some onto the fork and ate it with a thinking face. "Hm.. Seems good to me."

Uee followed him closely as he led her to the dining room, swinging their hands a bit and smiling over at him after her gaze fell on the small table. “It looks amazing, Jonghyunnie, I bet it tastes just as good!" She sat quickly, thanking him and allowing him to help her move closer to the table.

As he sat across from her and began to fill her plate, she began to relax a bit more, leaning back slightly in her chair. “Oh I agree, you did a great job..we must eat well!" She tucked a few strands of hair behind her ear, looking up at him again. “Oh, anything you have..water would be fine for now."

"Well I'm glad you like it. Come on the dining room is right over here." He took her hand again and showed her to the small table that held their food. "Tada~ Does it look good? I hope it'll be okay." He pulled out her chair and pushed her in once she was seated. "There you go cutie."

Taking his own seat he filled Uee's plate with the pasta and a couple bread sticks. "We have to eat well, I worked really hard on it... what do you want to drink?"

"Aw, sweet as always! What am I to do with you and all this sweetness?" Uee couldn’t help but laugh softly, unable to hide the smile on her face in the least. “You cleaned? Wah, I’m glad I earned such an honor!" She winked over at Jonghyun as she relaxed a bit more in her seat, noticing quickly how much her nerves had settled as they reached his house. 

She thanked him again as he helped her from the car, giving his hand a light squeeze as he led her towards, and then into his home. Taking a look around, she smiled lightly as she looked back at him. “This is really nice, Jonghyunnie, I think it’s more than good enough!"

"Every second with you is always very enjoyable Noona, I wouldn't trade them for anything. So I'm sure tonight will be perfect. I even cleaned." He chuckled as he pulled into the driveway. Turning off the car he gave her hand a kiss before going around to her side of the car, opening the door again. "Here we are, Princess."

Taking her hand in his he began to lead the way to the door, unlocking it and pushing it open. He stepped in first and showed her in, looking around. "Well this is it.. nothing amazing, but it's good enough."

Uee glanced at their hands quickly before returning her gaze to Jonghyun’s, smiling brightly again as she let him lead her towards his car. “I’m glad to hear that, it’s honestly the highlight of my week, too." She thanked him as he opened the door for her, carefully seating herself on the passenger’s side and tucking her hands in her lap as he shut the door.

Her teeth captured her bottom lip gently as he took her hand again, and she couldn’t resist turning to flash him another smile.  "I’m sure I will, Jonghyunnie, because I’m spending it with you!"

He took her head and nodded. "I'm ready.. I've been thinking about it a lot too." he began lead her down to his car. "I've been really excited for it, the highlight of my week, honestly." They got to the car and he opened her door, waiting for her to get in all the way before shutting her door and hurrying to get in on his side.

He turned on the car and began to drive, one hand on the steering wheel and the other moving to take one of Uee's. "I hope you enjoy tonight."

Uee smiled brightly as she met Jonghyun’s gaze, feeling a soft heat inch over her cheeks when he looked her over.  He looked incredibly handsome like always, and she was unable to look away as he spoke. “Thank you, Jonghyunnie! You really look amazing yourself." 

She stepped through the doorway and stood beside him, reaching to close the front door behind her.  Her smile grew as she listen to him speak quickly, and she turned to face him, taking a step closer as he looked down.  "Italian sounds amazing..and I don’t mind that you made it already!" She nudged his arm gently with hers, tilting her head slightly as she continued looking at her date. “I..I was really looking forward to this all day, and I’m ready if you are."

Jonghyun was looking down when the door  was opened. His eyes flying up he leaned sideways, giving a soft smile. His eyes gave a quick trail over the woman in front of him. He was, to say the least, captivated by her beauty. "Wow... you look... perfect, Princess. Always so gorgeous." His heart wasn't going a normal pace but he did what he could do play himself cool.

"You ready to go? I have food and stuff all ready so you wouldn't have to wait on me. I have the dogs in their kennels so we can let them out after dinner, don't want them begging the whole time." Jonghyun realized he was probably rambling and shyly looked down. "I went ahead and made Italian."

Uee padded softly across the carpet in her bedroom, gathering her clothes, as well as her thoughts as she tried to get herself ready for her date with Jonghyun.  Picking a “casual" outfit for this date had been far more difficult than she had imagined earlier in the day. Sure, it had sounded easy enough that morning, but as she began to dress, the minutes ticked by too quickly; nothing seemed to be just right.

She glanced in the mirror, giving her jeans and flowy top a final once over before letting her gaze drift behind her.  Having tossed shirt after shirt onto her bed after trying them on, she had created quite a pile.  She shook her head as a soft smirk formed on her lips; she wasn’t exactly sure why, but somehow thinking about the mess in her room was helping to quell the nerves she felt in her stomach. 

Stepping out into the hall, she felt her nerves return almost immediately; she couldn’t remember the last time she had been this nervous over a date - though her last few certainly hadn’t been with anyone like Jonghyun.

Jonghyun.  

Uee couldn’t help but smile a bit wider as she thought about him; she seemed to do a lot of that lately, particularly when he crossed her mind.  She couldn’t help but wonder how their date would go - considering she enjoyed his company so much, she wasn’t too worried, but she quickly tried to distract herself with finding a pair of shoes as her nerves began to swell up like a wave inside of her. 

The sound of the doorbell caught her off guard, causing her heart to thud in a way that felt as if it had tripped and fallen into her ribs. She shook her hands nervously and checked her reflection one last time before heading to the door, letting out a slow breath as she turned the doorknob.

First Date | | | Jjong & Uee

Jonghyun checked his hair again, making sure it wasn't going out of control before making his way to the dining room. The food was still in the kitchen, in hopes it wouldn't get cold while he was going to get Uee. He smiled, making sure everything looked fine in that room before going to double check the living room. Once he was sure everything was good enough he headed out the door, towards his car.

It would've been a lie to say he wasn't nervous. He hadn't had a date in forever, and Uee meant an awful lot to him. He wanted to make sure he did everything he could to impress her and keep her happy. He even hoped he was lucky enough to get more dates in the future. He pulled up the directions to her house on his phone, sitting it where he could see it and starting the engine.

The drive wasn't too long but it was very nerve wrecking. Did he look good enough? Now he felt like a girl and even caused himself to chuckle. Then he started wondering how she looked. He had told her to just dress herself casually and he smiled. Even casual she seemed to look good, as always. He finally pulled up in front of the address he had been given and took a deep breath.

Stepping out of the car he made his way up to the doorway, running his fingers through his hair one last time before ringing the doorbell. Here went nothing.
