I was curious what I was doing on New Year's Eve twenty years ago and I found this shot of TBT departing Dirty Old Town Studios after completing their sophomore album, Blue Sky and the Devil.

Chant leader (Brooklyn Center MN) / 2021
This was on April 18th 2021, several days into the protests at the Brooklyn Center police station over the wrongful shooting death of Daunte Wright one week earlier. They pulled him over for having an air freshener tree dangling from his rear-view, in other words: for no reason. He was also shot to death for no reason.

Karl cruising in the Great White Shark (Duluth MN) / 2008
The Shark was a 1983 Mecedes-Benz 300D that Karl DIY-converted to run on discarded restaurant grease instead of diesel. The toggles on the dash were for headlights, fog lights, heating the grease, heating the car, switching the tanks, and honking the damn horn.
