Kit: I think my soul is being taken over by blondes. Can't seem to shake it off, shake it off.

Kit: Take me to Florence and the Machine concert before I go mad.

Kit: Oh but have I told you? I MET HER. I MET FLORENCE FROM FLORENCE AND THE MACHINE. And made a complete jackass out of myself, of course, but fuck it - still met her.

Kit: 'We'?

Joe: I'm suing you for forcing me to read that with my own two eyes. And all the Swift related texts before that.

Joe: Shit, did you???? When??? I can't believe I was left out of this entire thing. I'm starting to rethink my decision to let you sweep me off my feet, Christopher.

Joe: Maisie and I. Me and Maisie? Whatever the proper grammar is. We.

Maisie didn’t have many experience when it came to boys and dating. Really, she only had one real relationship before and it lasted for two years. Since then, she had never felt like this, so excited and interested in another boy. But Joe was sending her through the whole roller coaster once again, falling for someone, the butterflies on her stomach, the need to be next to him at all times. She really liked him and she wanted to take the next step, she had no doubt of it now. She wanted to give this a chance.

Maisie shrugged. “Well, you won’t hear me asking for space, I want to be with you. Plus, I only want to hang out with Kit and Richard if they’re around, I miss them. Sophie won’t stay for long because she has to go back to work, I want to spend time with her as well, before she leaves. Apart from that, I’m all yours.” Maisie lead him towards the couch and nodded. “Sounds perfect to me like that. I’m not the kind of girl that needs a super fancy and elaborated date, I’m fine with what you planned. What really matters is that we get to spend time together.” She shrugged before leaving to go to the kitchen and grabbing a bottle of water. Maisie came back quickly and sat down on the couch next to him. “There you go.” She said with a smile.

i want to be with you. those words alone were enough to brighten his day in seconds. more than anything, he wanted her to want this as much as he did. he wanted her to make the decisions on every little thing based on her comfort level. as much as a relationship was about being a team, joe wanted her to be happy and comfortable and taken care of entirely. and he never, ever wanted to force his way into her life when he knew she could be just as busy as he could be sometimes. but he was eager, too, to make it all work no matter how busy they got over the next little bit. 

“if you don’t want space, i don’t want space. kit has been bugging me about hanging out, too, so i’m sure we can all spend a bunch of time together when they’re free. i hope sophie gets to spend at least a bit of time here before she has to head back. i’m sure the boys want to see her too. i feel like we haven’t all been in the same room in ages. but that sounds perfect. honestly, out of anyone, i want to spend the most time with you.” had kit been around, joe was sure he would hear him gasp dramatically. he would, of course, set aside time for the man too. but he was most excited about getting a chance to spend as much time with maisie as possible. “god, this is why you’re so amazing. you’re so chill and i’m so chill and though i want to spoil you every second of every day, you’re cool with us just spending time together too. i will spoil you though. be prepared.” he took the bottle from her with a soft smile then leaned to press a soft kiss to her cheek. “thank you. how long have you lived here?”

Maisie had to admit, she wouldn’t mind having to spend an entire day with Joe. She always had fun around him and no matter how down her mood might be, he always managed to brighten up her day. Although, she didn’t want to annoy him and have him get tired of her. Maisie wanted this to work out, she wanted to have something more with him, but she knew how rushing into things something messed it up.

She laughed and looked up to him. “Well I can’t disagree with that, it’s true. It felt like years and I missed you just as much.” Maisie looked up to him, listening as he explained what he had planned for them. She nodded before shrugging. “That sounds perfect to me, Joe. Like I said, it doesn’t matter what we’ll be doing, as long as we’re together it will be perfect. It doesn’t need to be too crazy either, I’m fine with something simple.” She pulled him slightly into the flat before closing the door behind him. “Do you want anything?”

he was thankful she seemed to have missed him just as much. he hadn’t wanted it to come off as weird. but thankfully, she seemed to want to spend as much time with him as he did. the thought alone made his heart swell and his stomach fill with a strange butterfly sensation that he hadn’t felt in years. no one had given him that feeling for so long. and yet, here she was, making him feel like an excited little kid over all of this. like it was christmas day. but continuously. 

“that’s nice to know. i promise i’ll give you space and time to do whatever you want here too. we’re gunna have an amazing trip.” it already felt amazing and they had been here for such a short amount of time. “it’ll be simple but amazing, i hope. nothing too crazy. nothing too over the top. i’m excited to just spend time with you and talk and figure things out.” he happily followed her in a bit further; toeing his shoes off quickly. “just some water would be great. your flat is amazing.”

Kit: Unconventional romance is exactly what you'll get from me, mate, always. The question is, when do I get the chance to swoon you, 1 on 1?

Joe: God. When did you become obsessed with Taylor Swift? Save my ears, Kitten.

Joe: As soon as we get there, you can sweep me off my feet and take me out for drinks. That should give you enough time to completely steal my heart.

I think there are numerous [fan fictions]. I haven’t delved into it for a long, long time. I remember a friend telling me about it a few years ago – I think the general theme was imagining if Kit Harington was your boyfriend. Which obviously I do on a regular basis. There was this one description of him in it that said, “As he looks at me with his chocolate cow eyes”, which makes no sense whatsoever. But then you look at Kit and you’re like, “Chocolate cow eyes” – I sort of get what they mean.

It felt like ages, the time it took him to get to her floor. But she knew it was only because she was so excited, she didn’t want to wait. She didn’t want to seem desperate, so she just stood at her door, waiting for him to show up. When he finally did, Maisie smile grew wider. He looked so good, she didn’t think it was possible but there he was, standing all charming and handsome, she felt like the luckiest girl right in that moment.

As he took her in his arms, she wrapped her arms around his neck and hugged him back. “We’ve been away from each other for like a day. But I missed you too, quite a lot.” She laughed slightly, feeling the blush appearing on her face. The truth was that she missed him just as much. Maisie pressed a kiss to his cheek as well before pulling away to look up to him. “Do you wanna come in? Since you’re early and all. Or should we head out?” She wasn’t sure what would work, what he had planned for them so she decided to let him decide.

it had been a day, yes, but joe had spent the last week with her and he had wanted nothing more than to be with her every second. but he knew they needed to take time to themselves too. he couldn’t grow too attached to her if things didn’t work out. though he spent every day hoping they would. they had known one another for so long but he wanted something so different with her now. he hoped she did too. eventually.

“i know. but it felt like years.” he laughed softly and squeezed her gently once more before she pulled back; eyes finding her own. “yeah, yeah. let’s hang out for a bit. i have a dinner reservation for us but...i was really excited to see you so...i came early. after dinner, i figured we could go find a nice little ice cream shop or something. wander around town a bit. talk. maybe go sit near the water. i didn’t want to go too crazy since we just got back and i know you’re probably tired. but i hope...i hope you’re okay with it. we’ll go all out a bit more soon.”

Well he’s early. Maisie thought to herself as she checked her phone. She couldn’t help but smile, was he really as excited about this date as she was? Probably, judging by the fact that he’s nearly half an hour early. Maisie didn’t mind though, it meant she would get to spend more time with him. She was quick to go to her front door and open the building’s main door. Come on in. I just opened the door.

Maisie texted him back and grinned like a teenager with a crush. It made her feel a little stupid, but at the same time she couldn’t care less. She was happy and she hadn’t felt like this in quite some time. Maisie opened the door to her flat and waited for Joe to show up in the hall. She actually couldn’t wait to see what he had planned for the both of them, but whatever it was, Maisie knew it would be perfect.

joe hadn’t felt this much excitement about anything in ages. he got excited about projects, about travelling, about game of thrones. but it never reached this level. he hurried up the stairs to her floor; knowing the elevator would feel like it was taking far too long. before he turned the corner down the hall and spotted her and her opened door; a wide smile pulling at his lips. 

she looked as beautiful as she always did and it killed him. “hey mais.” he slowed his pace so as to not look too desperate to see her. but god he wanted to scoop her up and cradle her close. “i missed you.” he leaned in to slide his arm around her middle to gently pull her in for a quick but firm hug; lips finding her cheek for a quick peck.
