By virtue of having to play against Universes Beyond products, ruining my immersion into the game, I am not a happy opponent.

Why is it only one side of this argument is ever allowed to be the happy one, while the other is effectively being told to play anyway or be labeled a gatekeeper.

We NEED Universes Beyond free ways to play the game. This is not up for debate, and shouldn't have ever been an issue to begin with.

I by no means think Universes Beyond has "ruined the game", but I *do* think the sheer number and pace of Universes Beyond cards/releases has meant it is not realistically possible for most people to avoid playing against them in 2025 even at the local level. They're legal in every competitive Constructed format and in Commander (the most played format generally). If someone's Commander deck has 5-10 cards in it from non-Magic IPs, I can't ask them to change that just for me, right?

Unless you play in a very tight knit local group, you don't have control of what other people play. But that's okay. Let other people do what they enjoy. Having happy people to play against is a huge boon.
