So, it’s been a bit since we’ve posted a shot of us. This is what we usually do when our couples are changing clothes in the van or we’re early for our meet time. “Extra wide selfie time”. Matt and Jennifer in RMNP. These two are fantastic humans. It was a pleasure to hang out with them for their session. We chatted, drove to a few locations, got some amazing photos, had some drinks, and got to know each other. THIS is what our sessions are about. • It's always good to clarify this point: • If you just want a photographer for your day and you don't care if they are fun, kind, adventurous, loving, and most of all personable, then we aren't for you. If you want a photographer (a married couple who knows how to love a partner, how to care for a partner, and who has had our own ups and downs) then we should be in touch. • THIS is what we do for our living, and for us to be with folks who don't align with our principles (kindness for others, love for EVERY human, compassion for the planet, a good moral compass) makes for an awkward photo session, and therefore photos that don't show who you truly are. • As much as you may want photos like these, if we aren't a good fit, please don't reach out. I realize that this may rub some the wrong way, but we are not interested in spending time with people who do not appreciate the craft of good photography and the weight of a relationship with us. • There are literally hundreds of thousands of people who call themselves "photographers" that do not care who they work with as long as they are paying clients. This is not how we work. A question we get asked a lot- • “Do you also shoot weddings?” • Yes, we do. In fact, we’ve photographed well over 300 weddings and elopements in the eight years we’ve been here in Estes Park. • After posting so many photos of our couples outside, in the mountains, it’s easy to think that it’s all we do. Quite the contrary, our couples usually hire us to be with them for their wedding, then we go into RMNP for an adventure session. Virtually every couple we’ve taken out has said that they had a fantastic time. It is for us too!
