This is my first time dipping into horror art. This piece was more difficult than I expected. There were a lot symmetrical structures which I found challenging to paint while maintaining a proper contrast between light and dark. In the end, I think it turned out alright

The thing about it being Pacific Rim Year is you can reevaluate things in a different light and I have to say, having Newt wearing his little skinny jeans etc and just generally looking like an early 2000s pop punk weirdo in 2025 is absolutely inspired costume design. Like, compared to Hermann he looks like the more normal dressed but he is absolutely getting targeted with the 'how to stop dressing like a millennial' influencer videos on instagram.
