Took a few days off and had an awesome bearthday yesterday spent hanging with mods Lenny and Ice Bear, who are the best friends I could ever ask for and showered my undeserving bum with gifts <3 Love you guys!

This is bday gift art for my friend, may you please critique it? Im still learning how to draw hands so I’m proud of how the hand here turned out.

(Btw the reason why the hand is so much smaller than it should be is because I was going for more of a chibi style)

Looks really awesome! The only critiques I can really give are that fingers on the hand might look better with varying lengths (like making the pinky smaller than the pointer finger), and that I think the arms need to be thickened out just a tad.

Ghost's past is based on something that happened with me and my sister (Who is a male in the story cause I like changing things), just darker, Our parents worked a lot, so they never really got to go to sleep often, and the cat (in both the story and real life) belong to the old man//killer, ironically the cat almost always walked by our house, so I dragged that intro her story, I did change a bit sense I posted that, The main changes is what happened to her brother, She only thinks he's (1/??)

(2//??)dead, So she’s restless do to the thought that she failed, The reason she won’t hurt/scare kids that are ten and under is she has been through those emotions, and she really only wishes them on one person in the first place,Nancy is kind of like Ghost but older, they intended to help Ghost throughout the first two years of being dead, the reason they are like that is (Cause I can’t think of anything more than this.)is do to the killers want to make human dolls and or toys with human parts

I think it’s really interesting that you’re taking elements of your real life and making use of them in your story. :) Thank you for elaborating more to me, I think I understand the story a lot more now.

I’d just suggest explaining this a bit more when you write out her story. Not like, blatantly stating it’s inspired by real life, but for example you just explained that the cat had a habit of walking past your house. The way you wrote out her bio made it almost seem like the cat was trained to lure kids to the old man or something to me (or maybe I’m just stupid xD).

Something like this might work: “Suddenly she noticed it, the neighborhood cat who so often strolled past their home, whiskers twitching as it sniffed along the leaf-strewn sidewalk. Its perky gait and determined gaze seemed to beckon her to follow.”

Good luck continuing to build this character! I see a lot of promise.

aaa this is my work from about 2 weeks ago. May I please have a critique?

awww, this is adorable!!! I’m not sure how much advice I can give, really. I attempted a redraw, and the only noticeable differences are that mine turned out a bit chubbier, and I tried to ground the feet a tad more in the center of its body. I’m sorry if that’s not much help, but honestly your drawing is very good as is and I love it. Keep up the great work!

Hi! I would like a critique on my anatomy please!! Its for a contest in participating and I’ve never really been that good at anatomy.

(I hope I interpreted this right! I took the under-detailed hands to be oven mitts and her outfit as a sort of apron, and I drew this with that in mind. My apologies if that wasn’t your intention.)

I think the first thing to jump out at me is the proportions of the torso versus that of the lower body - the legs are a bit too small and short to balance out the character as a whole. The head is also a bit large and seems to be favoring its left side, if that makes sense.

I’m hoping the quick redraw I did does a better job of explaining the ideas I’m trying to convey. x) Best of luck in the contest!

Hey wanted to know if you can critique my two oc’s The pink hair one is named Victor and the other guy is named Levi.

I kinda don’t have a bio for them but you all need to know that Victor is a demon and he does not remember his past And Levi is his best friend and he just a Weeb.

I think my main critique would be the anatomy in the first picture, though I’m not 100% sure if you intended it to stylized or not? Anywho, you have a nice grasp of varying body types - in particular, Victor’s curvature seems pretty on point to me.

I would personally suggest that, when not drawing in a chibi style, you make the heads of your characters a tad smaller to be more in proportion with their bodies. Arm length is also something to be careful of - an arm at rest tends to reach down to a person’s mid-thigh. 

Finally, the ruddiness on each character in the first picture seems just a tad too saturated to me? A slightly less extreme contrast would work well to achieve the look you’re going for. here’s a quick example:

I gathered all the ones I thought were the most recent, but any tips/anatomy foxes/critiques on any of ‘em? I can provide a close up of either of the pictures on the left of needed.

Oh boy, I hope I can help. I’ve never drawn in the MLP style before, but I’ll do my best! From what I have seen of the show, I think you have a good grasp of the anatomy. There are just a few things that I think could be improved on:

The pony bodies you have drawn seem a bit less defined and shapely to me than they should me. The MLP bodies are essentially a jellybean shape, with a very rounded torso and backend; yours seem a bit too oval to me, and also a bit slanted downwards where the haunches should be perky. :)

The eyes you have drawn are large, which suits the style of MLP, but they seems a bit too round. MLP eyes are actually somewhat ovalish and slightly tilted sideways. Think of it almost like an egg. A hard boiled egg plopped right on a pony’s face.

The unicorn horn’s position looks like it’s coming out of the pony’s right eyeball. Think about where it should actually reside, atop the skull.

I tried my hand at a quick sketch over one of your pieces with these three suggestions in mind.

 Ahh the shoulders and hands. Everything is so pointy, some softer, more rounded lines would go a long way. Also, variation in the faces will help this look a lot less like some kind of sacrificial clone cult.

yo about the critiques

I love doing them and seeing all your art is amazing, but I just wanna give a head’s up that they might take me awhile to finish once you submit - we’ve been getting a lot lately (which is awesome!) but I didn’t anticipate us getting so many requests so it’s taking me some time to get through them.

Put simply, please just know that getting back to you on a critique/review may take me a bit longer from here on out! I wanna also focus on this blog’s primary purpose, bizarre art, which I have been neglecting.
