(A statement has been left of Jon’s desk, the date on it seems to be from the day before. It is clearly handwritten on one of the forms that are given to statement givers when they come in and not in a handwriting Jon would recognize. As far as Jon’s aware there was no one in to give a statement yesterday, but here it is.)
Statement of   ------------------------ , regarding her current state and the events leading up to it.
I don’t remember when it all started. Seemed natural at first. I was never very good with people socially, I was polite and no one spoke bad of me but I never made any long lasting connections with people.
At school I took to watching others. If I tried to join in , the other kids would let me , but I could tell they where just being nice or felt sorry for me just because I didn’t have anyone else to play with. I was that child that invited the whole class to my birthday party because I didn’t have a group of friends.
By my teens I watched as teenage insecurity built walls around each group of my pears. Just children scared to fit in, wearing the masks that they thought others wanted to see. I was bullied, more verbally than physically, but enough to scare off anyone that might have given me a chance. I didn’t blame them, they just wanted to fit in and they didn’t know me enough to risk there own place to reach out. I got very good at wandering. I would schismatically figure out a path threw the school corridors so that I wouldn’t pass the same hall twice, but give me something to do between classes. That way no teacher would see me more than once and question why I wasn’t outside or in the lunch room.
I didn’t think anything of it when people didn’t notice me. I grew up with siblings and It was fun to sneak up on each other and scare them. I was always light on my feet, good at listening while out of sight. So when this skill continued into adulthood, I just thought other people where just not very observant, to busy chatting or just looking In the wrong direction.
At first people still saw me. In uni I would greet people or ask polite questions about the class work and people would smile and reply. But If I didn’t approach them first, it was almost as if I wasn’t there. I was there clearly. I was using a computer I sat at the desk. But people would just move round me , as if there eyes would just pass over me.
I didn’t take it to heart, I made my attempts and If they didn’t care then It wasn’t meant to be. Just kept telling myself that I will try again with the next group, when I start work or at some other thing.
I still watched and listened, hearing about the world and lives of the people around me, stories that weren’t mine. Generally peoples lives aren’t that interesting, more of an insight of the person and there personality, by how they react to situations that the events themselves.
As I moved from uni to work, I was lucky enough to work from home. always liked computers, and not having to travel to a job meant I could sleep in a bit longer. But I realized as time passed I didn’t really go out much. I didn’t have many people I would consider friends, my family was getting on with there own lives and all my hobbies where things I could do from home.
That’s when I started to notice things getting weird. I wouldn’t say I was ignored, but forgotten until I drew attention to myself. Work would come threw when I asked for it, but I wasn’t mentioned or requested to do anything if I just stayed silent. Same outside the house. I would walk threw the streets or shops, and it wasn’t like people walked into me or something but it was like the world just kept existing while any perception to me was just overlooked. When I approached someone, they wouldn’t see me until I spoke, and they would always jump Like I came out of nowhere. It was weird, but I kinda just kept ignoring it. No one seemed to be ignoring me on purpose and I thought it best to just get on and not worry. Shops have self checkouts and If I asked for work I got it. so Life continued. I wont deny I was lonely but by that point that was hardly anything new. I was, but the world wasn’t going to change and I’d accepted it.
I can’t remember but I think I’ve always been a bit of a cold person, between the loneliness and mild depression I’m sure theres something there that a doctor would be able to explain it away with ,mental health probably. But these days it seems to be the only thing people notice. A slight cold patch where I am. People don’t notice me at all anymore. Doesn’t matter where I go or what I do, no one reacts. Even when I talk they seem to not hear anymore. I still appear in photos or video , I know I’m not a ghost or something, but people just don’t see me.
Loneliness while isolated is one thing, theres literally no one else around to interact with. But I’ve found theres nothing lonelier than feeling isolated from the world while surrounded by people. There right there but It doesn’t matter, they cant see me, I might as well not exist.
But I do . I do exist. I’m writing this statement, and when I leave ,this statement will still exist and maybe someone will even read it.
For now I guess I’ll just keep being nosey, watching and listening. Even If I cant interact with the people I can still watch. The internet only has so much entertainment, and now that I can go anywhere, and no one cares. Well I’ve always been nosey.
I hope you find this Mr Archivist, I’m going to leave it on your desk, but it is a bit of a mess. maybe you will have some suggestions for what I should do? I’m a bit at a loss. But you seem to get all kinds of odd visitors so maybe you’d know.
I’d leave a phone number but you’d probably forget it if you tried to contact me, so I’ll drop by again some time and see if I can find this file again, read your follow up?
Have a good Day Mr Archivist.
@lonely--watcher
I found this statement on my desk. It has a tea stain on it.. I'll have to put this on a safer place until I have time to properly look into this statement.
Looks like this person is simply.. a massive introvert. But it requires further investigation to be sure. I'll write down that I'll get to this one once the drama has settled, to avoid forgetting things.
Though, I'm sure they may just be a bit forgetful and don't realise that others don't...
End recording.

She's sitting at her desk, just like she used to. Filling out a form. Sasha. She's back.

Jonathan froze. Almost forgetting everything he knew. Then he shook his head. "You are supposed to be taken care of." He said.

"Very smart. I'll read this one. I'll get you and Martin a copy of the statement of his sister. We have allll night to read it though so.. no rush." He said. "Not really.."
Tim sighed in a bit of a disturbed manner as he had read the statement that 'Rex' had made and left with Martin. "Why can't they ever just piss off something relatively peaceful?.." he got up before going to jon's office.
-
Tim knocked on Jonathan's office door. "Hey boss.. uhm.. did you get some more material on the Rex case? Maybe a statement or something? Along those lines..?"
"Oh god.. yes I did." He sighed. "Statement of his sister Sarah. I looked her up but I couldn't find a proper record of her. Now, I have been.. distracted to say the least. I'm not sure I've been doing my best to find more information on her." He admitted. "Why? Has Martin been talking to you?"

Statement of Sarah Harrness , regarding some stuff about her brother. Written on August 6th , 2015.
Don't try and find me after you read this statement. I doubt I'm still alive by the time you find this and read this. If I'm not alive , I'm dead. My brother killed me.
My brother is.. how do I say this. A murderer? That feels like stating the obvious.. i promise you he wasn't always like this.
Our parents constantly neglected us. They resorted to using me as a little 'babysitter' for my brother cause they were too busy or too drunk to actually take care of us. I was the one taking care of Rex for most of his life while he was growing up. My brother never learned how to control his emotions , even at a young age. He would throw tantrums and I would usually end up with a few bruises cause he would either attack me or throw things at me. He got better at managing it as he got older , there were times that he would still physically hurt me though.
Doctors tried to give him medicine but it never worked.. alot of doctors written his behaviors off as having a mental disorder or some sort of lack of emotional control. Something is wrong with my brother but it's not mentally I swear.
The only times ive ever seen him so happy or calm is in highschool.. he had this friend he would always hang out with and he seemed to happy to be with them , I couldn't remember their name but I think they were ginger and had glasses.. I don't think that helps you at all though. There were times his friend would sneak out of their own away from their mom to come sneak into our house , and they would be up all night during the weekend just talking.. I miss seeing him so happy and content.. it was like seeing a whole different person..
Eventually we had to move away because Rex got into a fight one day at school , a kid tried picking on his friend and it got physical. Kid got sent to the hospital. So we had to move so he could go to a different school. He was incredibly upset though cause he was moving away from his only friend.
I was turning 20 at the time this happened , and I think he was 15? He.. I woke up one night to crying , so I went to go see what it was.. and he had killed both of our parents. They looked like they were torn to shreds at the stomachs and he he was standing at the end of the bed , crying and holding a knife. Both him and the knife was covered in blood.. so I could only assume it was him that did it of course. When he saw me though , he begged me not to go to the police , that it wasn't him and something in his head was making him like this.. I didn't want him getting arrested , so.. I kept it a secret. I had a good enough job that I could make enough for the two of us and it was fine.
He moved out when he was 17 , apparently he had found a shack in the woods he could live in. He apparently didn't want to be near me cause he still had violent urges to try and kill me.. I didn't stop him. He moved out and I didn't stop him.
There were articles in my bedroom about the times he killed people the last 2 years he lived with me and I didn't stop him..
He killed other people to avoid killing me.. and I didn't stop him..
If I'm not alive by the time you read this statement , my brother finally gave into those urges and killed me. He's still living in the shack somewhere in the woods.
He's not a monster. I refuse to believe my brother is a monster. He just needs help somehow. I just don't know how..
[Statement ends.]
I am afraid that the brother she once knew is nothing but a monster now. A lot of avatars go down this route. Not specifically slaughtering people of course though...
Losing every bit of your previous human self is inevitable and eventually... I think we all are nothing but husks of what we were before. It feels like that occassionally. I try not to think about it too much. I am.. failing at this attempt even more though.
I.. am rather confused about the timeline here. Now, sure, maybe I might be a bit... biased..? But when she mentioned a ginger boy with glasses, obviously Martin popped up in my mind... Martin would have told me if he knew Rex once upon a time, right? Like that.. sounds like something you should definitely tell your significant other about.
Unless he forgot but.. I mean.. I don't see how that's likely.
I'm not even sure about the timeline.. There isn't a lot of information on Rex to be found online and any people we would usually follow up with have been slaughtered. So I have no idea how old Rex would be now. That would've helped me with ruling Martin out as the old friend.
I.. suppose that's my follow up. I sincerely hope I don't have to compell my own boyfriend here though...
End recording.

He shivered slightly. "God that is.. just wrong." He said as he door disappeared from his office.
It starts with a laugh.
Not loud. Not sudden. Just… familiar. Like a cracked recording playing in reverse from somewhere deep in the Archives.
Then the lights flicker. Not all at once, just a gentle ripple, like someone ran their fingers along every single light switch.
“Oh helloooooo again, Archivist.”
The voice is unmistakable. Gleeful. Wrong.
“Did you miss me?”
Michael steps through the door behind Jonathan, joints bending like they’re not sure which way is forward.
“Don’t worry. I’m real again. For now.”
He tilts his head.
“Isn’t that fun?”
@wrongdoorrighttime
The sense of crackling and ringing in his ears made the hairs on his arms and neck stand up straight. "Michael.." he just said. "What on earth are you doing here?"

"Well..Michael, I am not a bloody therapist. I don't know why your mind does the things it does. If I knew that, you wouldn't be half as unsettling. I can most of the time barely follow what you are trying to tell me at all." He scoffed.

"I.. see.." he had to think of the recordings placed on his desk about Michael Shelley and this child. As well as Gerry being back and trying to work here. The past seemed to not be entirely.. in the past.

It starts with a laugh.

"That seems.. awfully specific but.. yes I know this. The more I take statements. The more I show up in peoples nightmares and the more I do that.. the less I am Jonathan Sims and the more I become the Archivist. I for one would really like to stay John." He said.

"How would you stay more human...?" He asked. "Well for one.. not give in to the hunger you feel to feast. Had to.. well.. have to find that out the hard way myself." He seemed surprised by the response. It helped with feeling comfortable to answer questions for him.
