(M/N) opened his eyes and was confused why he didn’t hear the hum of ship engines. Sitting up he realized he wasn’t in his quarters on the ship, he was in his room on earth. He could tell by how the sun was starting to raise over the city that he had woken up pretty early. Perhaps he was still adjusted to waking up for the next campaign. He stood up and walked over to the closet, inside he found some clothes that could fit him. Once he was dressed he wandered out to the living room.

The quietness of the area told him that no one was up yet. Moving to the kitchen he looked around. Last time he was on earth he was taught a couple of things for cooking. He got to work making something for everybody to eat as they got up. He had got some of the food done by the time someone entered the kitchen. “Do I smell food?” (M/N) smiled and turned to face his intruder. “Hey Steve. I’m making breakfast, grab a plate. most of it is done.” Steve smirked and did so before sitting at the table. “I gotta say, I half expected to wake up and realize last night was a dream. But you’re here…actually here.” He looked at his plate and back to (M/N). “Where have you been kid?”

(M/N) finished his cooking and set everything aside. “I didn’t want to leave. I wanted more time here, with you guys…with dad. But there’s still a war going on and mom wanted to make sure that we realized that.” (M/N) shrugged his shoulders. “I guess she was right though. Once we got back into the fight I realized there were still so many people that needed our help. I couldn’t just stay here or come back…even if I tried at first.” (M/N) had a far away look in his eyes and Steve noticed, the younger book shook his head quickly though. “Anyways that’s the past. I’m here now…I just hope for longer.” Steve nodded his head. “Well I’m glad to have you back, I know everyone else…especially your dad is too.”

Grabbing a plate for himself, (M/N) joined Steve at the table. “So…anything interesting happen when I was gone?” Steve smirked at him. “You’ve missed a lot. Turns out there were lots of hidden Hydra agents in Shield and that was an ordeal. Also…Bucky’s alive.” (M/N) raised a brow at that. Steve had told him of his time in the war, and his best friend Bucky…but that he died. Apparently that wasn’t the case. “How?” Steve sat his fork down, no longer interested in the food. “Hydra.” (M/N) nodded and gave him a small smile. “I’m sorry Steve. We’ll get him back.” Steve genuinely smiled and with that his appetite seemed to return. “Anyways, what have YOU been doing Mr.I’ve lead armies in war?” (M/N) blushed and looked away as Steve made fun of what he last said to them. “Shut up. I’ve just been doing what I’ve always done…fighting in a seemingly endless battle. But I HAVE been learning different art and stuff from different planets.” Steve seemed to be really interested with that. “Art like drawing and painting?” The boy nodded at him. “Yeah, plus pottery, music, theater. All of that. There’s a lot out there.”

The sound of tools and workers filled the warehouse. (M/N) followed Fury up some stairs to an overlook of the ship. There he was able to see workers fixing the ship with Janai overlooking it. He wasn’t sure just how he felt about so many people crawling around their ship. Not that there was anything to steal…but they didn’t want any information to be taken,any one could be a spy for the empire. 

“So you’re Stark’s son. I keep tabs on everything around the avengers so imagine my surprise when I discovered he had a son I didn’t know about.” The man looked at me like how some of the masters back at the temple did, it was unnerving. “And you come from space. Your mother told me about some of what’s going on. A galactic war? I knew something would happen in space…didn’t know just how big it would be.”

This man was acting surprisingly calm for learning about a large war in space. I leaned on the railing and looked at him. “You don’t seem so shocked. I’m guessing we aren’t the first person from space you’ve met?”

Fury nodded his head. “Your right about that. Hell I’ve even been to space. It’s one of the reasons why the avengers were created…in case a threat from space ever came. It was also if a threat from earth got too big, but space is a big mystery with lots of dangers.” (M/N) laughed at that. “You’re definitely right about that. If only it was a blue milk run.”

The man looked at him in a weird way. “So I have to ask. If Jedi and Sith exist…is all of Star wars real?”

“What’s Star Wars?”

“So apparently there’s a movie series about Jedi and Sith?”

“Oh that, yeah that’s just propaganda used to try and make planets more likely to develop space travel.”

“Then why did most of the jedi get killed off?”

“You have to have some drama.”

Summary: The battle of New York is over. With it’s ending more questions start to surface than answers. (M/N) has finally met his father, yet it may not be a good time for a family reunion at the moment.

“I’m your father.”

(M/N) stared at the man in front of him. His father. He had thought of how he would meet his father and meeting on a battlefield was not one of them. He tried to think of words to say but nothing came to mind, it was more difficult than he had thought. “I- I’m not exactly sure what to say. I’ve always thought of this moment but I guess I never really thought of it.” Tony laughed. “Yeah, Yeah me too kid. I honestly didn’t think I’d ever see you again.” (M/N) smiled, it was definitely awkward that wasn’t a question, but it was also nice. 

The two were interrupted as the rest of the avengers entered the tower. (M/N) and Tony stood up. “You guys okay?” Natasha said to them. “Yeah, we’re okay. Kid’s a strong fighter.” (M/N) smirked before turning to the green man that was starting to wake up. Walking over to the man, he ignited his lightsaber and pointed it at him. The other avengers around him. The man lifted his hand in surrender. “I’ll take that drink now.” (M/N) held a hard expression. “In the name of the galactic republic, you’re under arrest.” The avengers, his dad included, all looked at him. They were probably shocked by how in charge he was for his age. Soon they were joined by guards who quickly took the man into custody. Once the man was gone, (M/N) finally caught his breath. Shutting off his lightsaber he walked over to the balcony and looked over the now battle torn city.

“So who are you? Aren’t you a little too young to be fighting?” The captain said to him. He glared at the man. He may have been young, but he’s fought on the frontlines of the war and faced death countless times. “Aren’t you a little too old to be wearing a skin tight red,white and blue onesie?” His dad let out a loud laugh, which was followed by a couple of the other people. The cap just stared in shock, bet he didn’t think he’d be spoken to like that. “I-I happen to be a soldier.” This only confused (M/N) more. “Normally soldiers want to be hidden, not stand out. I guess if that’s how you do it, more power to ya.” He shrugged. He heard snickering coming from the rest of the people around him. His dad walked over to him and clapped his shoulder. “Take it easy on the fossil. He’s still stuck in the past.” That confused him but he brushed it off. He looked down at the stone in his hand, he had never seen anything like it before.

The elevator opened and out stepped Janai. She looked like she had seen some battle during the way to the ship. “I’m glad to see you’re okay.” Her eye’s softened when she saw (M/N) standing with Tony. “Tony. It’s good to see you again.” Tony looked at her, not with anger but more of sadness. “Janai. I see you’ve changed a bit.” She chuckled and nodded. “So have you. I wanted you to meet someone. This is-”

“I know. We figured it out.”

Janai let a tear slide down her face. “I figured it was time.”

The other avengers just looked between the three others. They were all confused on what was happening. Tony could see how confused the others were. With a sigh he turned to the others. “Everyone, this is (M/N). (M/N) Stark. My son.” The others were surprised to say the least. “You have a son?” the man with a bow asked. “Yes, but it’s a complicated story.” Natashas spoke next. “Where has he been? I was with you for a while and had no idea you even had a son.” Tony rolled his eyes. “Again long story. Alright so who wants food? Let’s celebrate.” He started to leave with (M/N), but (M/N) stopped. “Not yet.” He lifted the stone. “I have no idea what this is but if the sith want it, it can’t be good.” Janai stepped forward. “Sith? What about the sith?” He looked her in the eyes. “There was a sith here. The same sith from nowhere…and he was after this. He escaped…and he took whatever opened the portal with him.” Janai’s eyes widened looking at the stone. “(M/N), this is an infinity stone. A source of great power. It could cause destruction on a grand scale. If the sith are after it…this won’t end well.”

“Whoa whoa whoa. Sith? Infinity stone? Destruction on grand scale? What’s going on?” Tony asked.

“Something far bigger than just this attack on earth. We need to get in contact with the Jedi council as soon as we can. Sadly…we won’t be able to. The ship was badly damaged during the battle, no communications or hyperdrive until we fix it.”

“Okay…then let’s deal with this later. For now let’s take a breath. I want to get to know my son some more.” Tony tried to defuse what was coming.

“Tony, This isn’t-”

“He’s right.” Everyone looked at (M/N). “With the ship’s communication and hyperdrive down, we won’t be able to do anything yet. Not until we fix it atleast. For now all we can do is hold onto this and take a breath. We can get back to the war another time.”

“I’m sorry, war?” The captain asked.

(M/N) smirked at the man. “That’s right soldier. War. Don’t worry we’ll fill you in over some food. Come on I’m hungry.”’

Tony smirked. “That’s my boy. Come on let’s go eat and you can tell us all about yourself.”

(M/N) smiled as his dad once again began walking with his arm around him. Everything was going to be different from now on, for better or worse. He was happy that he finally met his dad and could see they were going to be close. However, he couldn’t ignore the small disturbance in the force that called out to him. It was barely noticeable but it made his stomach drop.
