Cop Out, Call Up
The glaring hypocrisy is so bluntly obvious, it’s been normalized for so long now, but we must not look away. Yes, the impetuous acting out on impulses by this irresponsible man-child is now our daily diet. It seems that our timeline really pulled one of history’s shorter straws, but it’s important to remind yourself daily that “this is not normal.

Proposed New Logo
In an Oval Office meeting today, Apple’s Tim Cook gifted Dear Leader a 24-carat hunk of gold with some kind of Apple-glass trophy-plaque, and then proceeded to abase himself further by unboxing the gift and setting up on the Resolute Desk. Cook acted as if the glass—made in Kentucky—was a novel thing, even though Apple’s been procuring the product from the Corning plant there for years. I imagine Cook sees all of this obeisance as good for his shareholders, but that doesn’t make any of it any less humiliating. Once again, corporate America openly capitulates to Trumpism and plays the Mango Mussolini’s vanity like some kind of flute.

American Phony
Last Friday, JD Vance weighed in on the Sydney Sweeney jeans ad controversy. Vance claimed that left had come “unhinged” about it, but I had to google it to find out WTF he was even talking about. And then yesterday, Dear Leader piled on. Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar and sometimes a jeans ad is just a jeans ad. With that in mind, I’ve weighed in on JD. Please note that I did not draw him in trashy, white jeans.

The Orange Queen
Every day, Trumpism chews away at the institutional infrastructure of the United States. The firing of the commissioner of the Bureau of Labor Statistics because Dear Leader didn’t like the reported results marks another dark day as we witness the value of truth in America crumble.

NosferFU
Another horror show committed in the United States Senate this week, where they confirmed this hyper-partisan creep to a Federal Appeals Court judgeship. The Trumpist ass-kissing senators were evidently not bothered by his reported contempt for the courts, from which I’ve excerpted one of his most infamous quotes. Besides all that, every time I see this guy’s face, I think he looks like Nosferatu.

Fed Up
Dear Leader and sycophantic sidekick Senator Tim Scott seemed to have planned an ambush in front of the cameras during the visit to the Federal Reserve renovation site. Trump tried to pass a casual comment that the project was about half a billion over budget by including the cost of another building project that was completed 5 years ago. Fed Chairman Jerome Powell was quick on his feet and quickly corrected Trump’s lie. Trump seemed to pretend not to notice that he’d be corrected in public by continuing to babble that the earlier project was “part of the overall work,” never mind that was in a different budget. I imagined what Powell was thinking.

Tulsi Faketard
Can it be any more obvious that despite two expensive, years-long investigations, Tulsi Gabbard just happens to produce a “report” that is undoubtedly intended to distract the MAGA hordes from the Epstein File rages that even Dear Leader seems unable to quench?

They’re Stupid People: Stupid and Weak
Dear Leader opining on Wednesday with regard to his supporters’ concerns about the administration’s failure to release the Epstein files as long promised: "It's all been a big hoax. It's perpetrated by the Democrats and some stupid Republicans, and foolish Republicans fall into the net… They're stupid people."

Another Scottblurt
The tweet is exactly what Scott Adams posted on Xitter earlier today. I will admit, many years ago, I got quite a kick out of Scott Adams. Not anymore.

But, It’s Gettin’ There
What started out as a doodle on the morning of Independence Day evolved into something more involved and it got darker as I progressed. July 4th mood.

Paramounted
Waking up to another news day on Wednesday, needing to stifle a gag reflex. Perhaps the sickest part of this latest institutional capitulation is that CBS News did nothing wrong, by all accounts they would have easily won in court. The inference of what appears to be open extortion by Trump and then Paramount coughing up wads of cash to grease the skids on the FCC’s approval of their merger is impossible to avoid. Even the Wall Street Journal editorial board thinks this deal looks awful, that Trump’s suit was “concocted.” Para-mounted, indeed.

Slackers
I can’t believe they just left the birthright citizenship issue hanging. It’s so blatantly unconstitutional. The judicial system is slow enough already. When you have a major question before you, decide it! Unless, of course, you don’t care about the appearance of partisan foot-dragging, something that this Roberts court is very good at
