“Putting First things first means organizing and executing around your most important priorities. It is living and being driven by the principles you value most, not by the agendas and forces surrounding you.” Habit 1 says, “You're in charge.
- Behind every great man there's a great woman
Behind every great man there's a great woman  means that A man’s achievements are made possible by the support and work of their wife or thier mother
- Best things in life are free
means that most valuable things don't cost any money. This is a proverb that means those things that cost  money  should not be prioritized over free things like family and friends. Those free things are, in the end, worth more than anything  money could buy

"The valley of Amazement"
"WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE TRUE TO ONESELF
She wanted to be true to herself when she found out that she had once possessed an extra finger on each hand. It means that she needs time to reflect on whether she would have allowed the operation if only she was asked by her parents, or she would have accepted herself despite having extra fingers.

“Apo on the Wall”
Tumblr media
I like this poem because I think about the situation and I feel the feelings of the Filipinos through this poem. It made me realize that the people of today, specifically our generation, are very lucky because we have not experienced what the victims of Martial Law have gone through. Overall, I liked this poem because this masterpiece has a huge impact on our present time and for the years to come.
I am grateful to the Filipinos who experienced this tragedy which is very traumatic, to them. I feel they are in misery because at that time the Filipinos are being treated and the injustices are coming out at that time.
The message I got, we should be thankful that we have freedom because in Marcos' time, Filipinos did not have freedom, even the freedom to express themselves was not allowed.
Bj Patino’s masterpiece is a comparison of past and present so, it affects my appreciation of the past and present by giving me a reason to give value to what happened in my past because according to Rick Warren that "We are the products of our past, but we must not allow ourselves to be imprisoned in the past because the past is gone so we must learn to live in the present and we must use our experience as a guide to our present life.
