“I know it’s awesome, I mean I’m now giving classes too, but working for your own it’s amazing indeed” He smiled and clinked his glass against hers “Salud!”

“Yeah, it’s pretty need. I can just do whatever I want.” Lifting up her own drink with a wide smile, she nodded. “To my new discovery.”

“Writing like novel and tales?”

I teach journalism and writing. It’s been really great so far.

He chuckled and shook his head “Nah, I eat anything that stands in my way” He did raise his eyebrow “This isn’t like a criminal minds thing where I go and end up being kidnaped right? because if I would totally be hansel and gretel, my stomach is my weakness”

A wide smile spread on Everett’s lips. “I’ll tell her t’cook twice the amount she usually does, then!” he said, wondering for a moment whether the guy thought he was joking or not. While at the end of the day it didn’t much matter, Everett supposed, he couldn’t say the thought of a cute boy getting a taste of Phe’s cooking wasn’t appealing. “Any dietary restrictions?”

“That you are your own boss, that’s cool.” He took the beer and raised “Okay so let’s toast, for your discovery”

“A beer? Alright, a beer for you, a scotch for me.” She ordered, before shrugging her shoulders. “Sometimes. Mostly I just work for myself.”

He smiled “Really? Hey I would love to try out your friends cooking, It might not seem but I can eat twice my size”

Everett couldn’t help but smile. “That sounds like the most useful quality a person can have!” he stated, nodding at his own words. “But you’re right, not somethin’ you’d wanna hear if you really want to go to a party or if you really really like someone who’s a complete douchebag,” he admitted, nodding still. A laugh escaped him, and he gave the guy’s shoulder a light tap. “Y’should come over sometime, then! Everyone should experience Phe’s cooking, honestly. I feel kinda bad I’ve kept this amazin’ opportunity to myself all these years,” he joked.

He blushed and shrugged “That way you will actually remember that I’m the guy that draws” He smirked “You could say that I’m a character designer and an animator”

She smiled as he handed her the piece of paper. “Okay, well now you’re just adorable. A doodle, really? What, are you some kind of artist?”

“A beer, it’s perfect” He smiled at her previous comment and shrugged “You were still being nice. But okay, I will let you win. So Fiona, where do you work, at the Savannah State? ”

“I’m not being too nice. I’m just being as nice as you deserve it.” She laughed before extending her hand to shake his. “It’s a pleasure to meet you, Josh. I’m Fiona. What do you want to drink?”

“See, that’s like one of the oldest tricks in history” He chuckled “If other people use it why not us. Also, what do you teach?”

Hey… that does work! I hadn’t thought about that.

“You are right, I shouldn’t have ask you this” He took a paper and wrote his number on it, with the name padawan josh and made a little sketch of himself “There that way you know it’s me”

“Are you kidding? I know I’ve got this whole hot, crazy girl vibe going, but I’m not actually stupid enough to risk getting pregnant.”

“See and now I know you are being too nice. But I will act all cool and take the nice gesture” He chuckled “Let’s start again, Hi, I’m Josh, and I will honored to celebrate the good news about your job.”

“You’re not making a fool out of yourself – don’t worry about it. But it’s just… I don’t even know if I can describe the feeling. But it’s good if you stop overreacting – because there really is no need for it. We’re all good here.”

“Yeah and when you do, let me know what you thought about it? See ya tomorrow then”

“Beast of No Nation? Thanks for the tip, I’ll totally check it out tonight then.”

“Of course, I always do. I’m never that drunk to forget that part” He looked at her and look at his feet “You do too, right?”

“Okay, sure, hot stuff. Just use a condom,” Daisy laughed skeptically. He’d basically already shot his load in telling her he’d only ever had a few drunken hook-ups, and she wanted to sleep with him anyway, but if he wanted to retain some pride, who was she to stop him? She was still getting what she wanted…

“What parties not to go, what people are douchbags, the ones that will hurt you because that’s just their nature, when you need to stop drinking. You know that shit you don’t really want to hear” He chuckled “Wow man you are really lucky, I wish I had a roomate that was a chef, my life would be much simpler that one”

A look of mild surprise overcame Everett, and he inclined his upper body with a smile on his lips. “Oh, really? Like what?” he asked, half-and-half aware that the guy might have been joking. Nonetheless, it was a statement that required an answer! However much it lacked severity. A laugh escaped Everett, and he shook his head. “That’s already done for,” he said, amusement crinkling the corners of his eyes. “One o’ my roommates’s basically a chef, so I get fed proper an’ all. She’s amazing, actually,” he added, his smile growing at the thought of Phe’s cooking.

He slowly nodded and looked up to the bar “Sorry, I feel like I’m making a fool out myself. I just really enjoy watching shows where they tell you new discoveries, and I always wonder what it would feel like to be one of the first people that actually know something, before anyone else. But well my point is I will stop overreacting, sorry about that, I’m usually not this weird”

“It’s cool that you think so. I mean, I think the same, but not many people do. But you should act calm – there’s no reason for you to freak out. Okay, okay. The next one is on you.”

“Well last night I stood up watching Beast of No Nation, what an amazing movie, you should check it out”

“Whatever I can get my hands on, really.”

He blushed on more time and shook his head “I trully doubt I would call you because I have a hard-on, I mean I don’t want to bother you like you say, what if you are on a date and I call you. Nah, is okay I can wait for when you want to. As for the other part, excuse me but I can meet good looking people on a bar and take them home... ” Not even him believed the last part of his comment but he had so pride, it wasn’t big one, but it was his pride after all, and the least he could do is protected, what he had left.

“I suppose,” she shrugged. “Maybe something like an on-call system? One of us calls and the other one answers? With veto powers, of course. I’m a busy lady and I can’t just drop everything because you’ve got a hard-on. Also, this whole deal can’t be exclusive. If I find a good looking guy at a bar, I’m taking him home. It doesn’t sound like you’ll need it, but the same goes for you.”

He snorted and then chuckled  “Nah, I’m the guy tells you what you don’t want to hear because is boring” He nodded “You can even make them get  food for you, think of all the possibilities you could have with that.”

“Ah, I’m sure that’s not entirely true! You seem like the kinda guy people listen to, sometimes,” Everett said, and inclined his upper body a little. The guy’s suggestion made him smile in amusement, and straighten up again. “It’s worth a shot, I s’pose,” he agreed jokingly, shrugging.
