Hard clear lid
Dark soft casing for the form
Hard clear for all functional parts of the pump on the inside

Final Design
All parts for the pump on left,
Final form design for the casing and lid - Lid is made to slide into slot at top of case for a fluid and seamless form overall.

More fluid form for casing,
Third image with piece added on top for lid to be placed

First form design for outer casing for the pump,
I didn't like the general form of this after the tube pieces had been added on, i would prefer the form to be more fluid and simplistic.

First Solidworks Models:
Designed 3 main components for the Centrifugal Pump mechanism to function
1. Impeller Plate - This will rotate from pressure of blood circulating through the pump
2. Base for Impeller plate - To hold the plate and allow the rotation
3. Case - Basic shape of the case for the pump (this will change in from for final design)
All these pieces are just the functional parts and the overall aesthetic of the design will develop from these core pieces.

Use centrifugal force that occurs naturally to develop a self maintaining pump to speed up blood circulation in extremities of body

Peristaltic Pump
Another form of pump,
Principles of this mechanism could also be used to create a higher circulation speed

To power the pump use a force that would work without any other form of power.

Using a pump to speed up blood flow in areas/extremities of body that would be cold.
Instead of creating a network of veins as an additive to body, design a little blood pump that can be inserted anywhere in the body (hands, feet, chest etc).
First thoughts on shape of pump, using nautilus shell as inspiration for form.

While I was working with World Machine on a personal project, I noticed the very detailed images generated by the flow map of the erosion device. So I tried to use the flow map as a final image rather than its usual use of texture map for a 3D terrain.Th…
