even though its true andreil are both busy sniffing kevins dirty socks in this book the way the andreil seeds are planted iss ooooo good. when the moriyamas are revealed to be yakuza to neil and the district change happens he chooses to stay because hes so jealous of the way kevin trusts andrew. he has the “why do you trust andrew. how do you trust andrew. why does andrew like you.” conversation with just about everyone andrew is close with because he wants to understand what its like to be cared for by andrew so bad. pretty much every time neil laments his isolation and how badly he wants to be a real person who is known by others its triggered by him witnessing a moment between andrew and one of his people. neil joins the foxes because he’s going insane without his mother and he stays because the way andrew cares for others is so tantalizingly familiar

i understand the entire sport this series revolves around was made up by nora but the crackers thing takes me out of the story so bad i have to skip it every time. I just dont understand why she'd make a fake drug. Theres a couple real ones she couldve used.
