It is one of an excited day during my placement experience with Cathay Pacific Airways. Today our zone is zone 2 that is the other end of the airport. I am busy for the whole shift in order to assist passengers at the kiosk machine. It is also long line up for SSBD as passengers have to wait for drop off their check-in luggages. The check-in counters are hiding at the back that make confusing for passengers who need more assistance for the wheel- chair, passengers who have strollers or any other issues. But overall we have enough staffs who can suggest and give any advice to passengers that make this shift run smoothly and organized at the end.

This is my first night shift since I have been working for Cathay Pacific Airways for a month. I am very excited and very ready to compare the difference. First , the atmosphere is obviously different; I can say that it more quiet and we are on zone5 as usual but we have our own space for SSBD and it is reserved for Cathay Pacific Airways only. Tonight I also have special duty as an arrival agent that I have an opportunity to greet the passengers from the aircraft door and assist them at the baggage area too. As you can see in the picture that it is very empty in the airport , which compare to the day time to be opposite site. Overall, it is my first amazing experience on night shift and I will try for the next one too.

I have been working with Cathay Pacific Airways for a month already that I feel like it is very fast and I have learned a lot new things that it is very useful for my future career. Today is Sunday and the flight is fully booked. I also received second red pocket from Manager Boris that is very nice and friendly every time when I have worked with him. It quite busy today and crowded of passengers on all of the counters either kiosks or Self-Serve bag drop. Many of passengers have the overweight for their baggage then they have to repackage but everything look settled after rush hours. Overall today the flight is fairly smooth and time go by fast.

Happy Chinese New Year 2019. Today is the Chinese New Year, and it is very special day for me too. Because when I come to work normally in my morning shift, the manager Frances who is very kindly give me and all of staffs who are working today with the red pockets. I am very appreciated because I am just the student who doing the placement. I feel like it is a small celebration that is very generous from management. As we know it is a part of Chinese tradition that older people give the red pocket to the younger people as a sign of happiness and joyful.

It already a month that I have been doing my placement with Cathay Pacific Airways. I think it is very fast, like time fly. I feel more familiar with the kiosks machine, passengers and co-workers. My responsibility today is assist passengers to check in at the kiosk machine, put the stickers for their bag tags and tell them where they can drop their check-in bags at the Self Serve Bag Drop area which is located very close to each other. In case of some passengers that have difficulty with the kiosk machine, I also show them the counter check-in for further assistance. As the picture of kiosk machine, it has many languages that passengers can choose that very convenient for them as well. Today I feel more confident in order to help passengers more faster and more smooth.

Today is very special for me. The reason why because is I just got the RAIC card and now I can go inside the gate to see more closer of the plane and learn more duties and responsibility as a gate agent position. During this time, I have an opportunity to boarding passengers and check their passports in order to matching with the boarding pass along with the flight number and the time schedule as well. I am very excited for this new thing and willing to use this opportunity as my good experience for my placement with Cathay Pacific Airways. I have learned that when we were boarding passengers, the first group would be wheelchair assistance. After that we would give the priority to business class and follow by premium economy class. The last group would be economy class. The number of passengers of the flight today is only half way which is different from usual , then the time for boarding is pretty fast and smooth. Overall I am very happy with my new learning as a gate agent.

It is my second week here as an customer service Ambassador for Cathay Pacific Airways. I get more familiar with the passengers, kiosks, Self Serve baggage drop area. Today my responsibility is an Ambassador to give the suggestions for passengers either economy or business class. I assist the passengers who have the problems with the kiosk machine in order to line up for counter check in for further assistance. I also show the line up for the passengers who have business class tickets and Marco Polo Club. In the same time, I have learned that passengers who request special service such as wheelchair for senior, baby stroller or even extra baggage ,they have to be line up for counter check in too. Today the flight is not that full but I feel like I am very busy and time go so fast. Overall, I am very happy with my new responsibility and with the Cathay Pacific Airways team.

This is my second day of placement that keep continue throughout winter semester. My main responsibility today is very different from the first day and very challenging myself as well. As in the picture, I do my service in the SSBD which means Self Serve Bag Drop area. I am very enjoying to help passengers to scale their bags, in the same time I have to be careful check their name whether there are accurate with their bags or not. It is very good experience for me to get the right information and learn all the procedures of how the ground agent is working at the same time. Now I remember that for Cathay Pacific Airways, the allowance for check in baggage is 2 bags and the weight is 23 kg for economy class. For any overweight baggage, the passengers have to pay extra$200 or the other choice is repack the bag in order to save money. I learned that for all the boxes ,the weight it will be the same as the bag that mean the maximum is 23 kg as well.And the passengers have to check in at another counter that is located opposite side where is call Oversized baggage counter. I feel like today time go by very fast because I am very busy with all the bags and passengers. Anyway, I am very happy to working with Cathay.

It is my first day of internship with Cathay Pacific Airways.I receive my official name tag as a Customer Service Ambassador as well.I am very excited and be very proud to join in the professional team at the airport. My main duty is responsibility on Self-Serve Kiosk in order to assist passengers for checking in and putting the baggage stickers. I learn a lot today about how to scan passports on different kiosks, check the accurate information of passengers according to their passports, put the stickers on their check baggage. I also help passengers who have the problems when they are checking in with kiosk for any reasons. I also remember more of the airport code and the destinations of the Cathay Pacific Airways and I memorized that the flight today is CX825 at 2.15 pm.

It is my first training day at the Cathay Pacific Airways. I am very excited and looking forward to gain more experience and learned the new things as a Customer Service Ambassador here. Actually I have a chance to fly with Cathay Pacific Airways since my first landing in Canada. And I think I am so lucky to get all of my shifts in the placement are in the morning time. I am arriving a bit earlier and walk a bit at Terminal 3 in order to get familiar and get used to with the map inside the terminal. The training take around 3 hours approximately and I have learned a lot from both Professor Ava and Maneger Boris. Also Manager Boris show us around the Cathay Pacific counter that includes Self- Serve Kiosk, SSBD which mean Self Serve bag drop and the check-in counter for both economy class and business class. Now I have learned that Cathay Pacific Airways is at Zone5 in terminal 3 as in the picture.
