Your iPhone is locked due to forgotten passcode or is disabled on account of multiple entries of incorrect passcodes by your kids? Faced with such situations, you must be badly in need of a way to unlock iPhone without passcode. Here, 4 methods are stated to help you access your iPhone without entering passcode.
Method 1: Use iTunes
It is a commonly used approach to unlock a disabled or locked iPhone. However, directly using iTunes to erase your iPhone passcode requires that the iPhone has been synced with iTunes and Find My iPhone is turned off on it. When these requirements are met, do as follows.
Step 1: Open iTunes. If you do it on a Mac with macOS Catalina, please open “Finder”. Then connect your iPhone to a trusted computer;
Step 2: After iTunes detects the iPhone, click the iPhone icon and choose “Summary” — “Restore iPhone…”.
Method 2: Recovery Mode
For those who haven’t synced the iPhone with iTunes, please put the iPhone into recovery mode and then use iTunes to remove the screen passcode.
Step 1: Launch iTunes and try an Apple USB cable to connect the iPhone with a computer;
Step 2: Manually set the iPhone into recovery mode following the instructions below or use Joyoshare UltFix to do it with one click for free;
(On iPhone 6s or earlier: Hold down both the “Home” and “Lock” buttons at the same time for 10 seconds. Then, release the “Lock” button and keep holding the “Home” button until the iTunes logo appears after connecting to iTunes.
On iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus: Press and hold the “Volume Down” and “Power” buttons for about 10 seconds. Next, please release the “Power” button and continue to hold down the “Volume Down” button until the iTunes logo shows.
On iPhone 8 or later: Quickly press and release the “Volume Up” button and “Volume Down” button. After that, hold the Power” button until you see the iTunes logo.)
Step 3: When iTunes recognizes your iPhone is in recovery mode, you will see a window pop up on the screen. Lastly, click on “Restore” from this window.
Method 3: Use iCloud
Besides iTunes, iCloud also has the ability to unlock an iOS device without requiring passcode. However, the prerequisite is that Find My iPhone is enabled on your iPhone and the device is connected to a Wi-Fi network.
Step 1: Visit www.icloud.com and log in to your iCloud account with Apple ID related to the iPhone;
Step 2: Locate “Find My iPhone” — “All Devices” and choose your iPhone to be unlocked;
Step 3: Touch “Erase iPhone” and wait for the process to finish. Then, the screen lock on your iPhone will be removed.
