Fic abt the Sonic characters going on a road trip! They can go wherever u want them to <3 thx ~

ROADTRIP & CHAOS (DAY ONE)

Wordcount ⋆✩-- 1,900+ Fandom ⋆✩-- Sonic The Hedgehog (MOVIE) Tags ⋆✩-- Road Trip, Sonic The Hedgehog (MOVIE), Sonic The Hedgehog (MOVIE 2), Dr. Robotnik and Maddie Wachowski become bff's, Tails acts like an actual eight-year-old.

Summary: (MOVIE ONE-TWO, AND ROBOTNIK IS STILL WORKING FOR THE GOVERNMENT) Sonic and his family wanted to go on a road trip to Florida. Even though they have a decent-sized truck that can fit all of them, and Sonic has Rings…Sonic thought it would be fun and convinced (Most likely forced) Dr. Robotnik and Agent Stone to come along, since they were obviously using the Mobile Lab.

Notes ⋆✩-- (SORRY IF THIS IS SLOPPY/RUSHED, I'VE ONLY MADE A FEW FANFICS BEFORE SO I'M NEW! I also have a small problem of slightly mischaracterizing characters, so, sorry about that ;((( Also, my grammar could be a LITTLE wrong.)

One day, at the Wachowski house. Maddie Wachowski and her husband, Tom Wachowski, were sitting on the couch, watching a movie on the TV. It was Scream. They were watching the opening scene, and that's when Tom saw Maddie getting scared, so he held her close.

Before it got to the good part, the TV paused unexpectedly, which startled the two. Tom pulled Maddie slightly closer, then glanced to his side and saw Sonic, with Tails and Knuckles behind him.

"Well, hello, Donut lord and Pretzel Lady."

Sonic said teasingly, placing the remote back on the coffee table. Tom chuckled before realizing that the trio needed something.

"What do you want now?"

Tom said teasingly, since he knows that they have a reputation for causing chaos, Maddie watched with a smile as Tails came forward.

"We were thinking- well, it was Sonic's idea, if we could go to Florida together?"

Tails said with a nervous tone, looking at them with his puppy eyes, trying to convince them, well, that's what Sonic said to Tails before they went to ask.

Maddie chuckled, her eyes softened as she looked at the two-tailed fox. She playfully crosses her arms.

"Well, we can go, but does Sonic--"

"Well, about that, we were thinking that we could go on a road trip there, wouldn't that be amazing?!"

Sonic interrupted, and that reply got both Tom and Maddie thinking about this 'Road-Trip', and why Sonic didn't want to use his rings, which would be more efficient. Still, it was their idea after all, and it would be good, since it would get Tails and Knuckles, the new family members, comfortable in the family. But, they still thought that the Rings would be more convenient.

"Wouldn't Rings be more...Convenient?"

Tom asked, debating whether to listen to the trio or convince them to use the Rings.

After some convincing for both Maddie and Tom, they eventually agree and plan it. Knuckles was silent for the whole conversation until they brought up whether they should go in the truck.

"I was thinking we could ask Robotnik if we could use his Mobile Lab that he mentioned to me before."

Knuckles said in a determined tone, which turned heads. Sonic and the others looked at Knuckles like he was crazy.

"We can't do that! Egghead is our enemy, remember?"

Sonic said, it was like, to Sonic, witnessing a car crash and couldn't look away. Tails gave Knuckles a worried glance.

"We can't do that, Knuckles. Are we sure that he is going to say yes? He hates our guts!”

Tails blurted out, not sure about this at all. But Knuckles shook his head.

“We are gonna ask him tomorrow.”

The next morning, Dr. Robotnik was in his Mobile Lab, parked near the Mean Bean cafe in the back, where Stone was working his shift.

Stone just served a customer their latte, and the customer was picky, so he was glad that he could please them. He looked at the sink, seeing all the dirty cups.

Stone sighed, looking back at his clipboard with all of the stuff he had to do today.

Go to Florida? He never put that on the list, he thought, before he got startled by a tap on the shoulder.

“Hello, Goat Milker.”

Sonic said, who was standing right behind him, menacingly.

“Sonic!” he muttered, “W-What are you doing— What do you want?”

Stone asked, slightly afraid of Sonic because of his capabilities. Sonic chuckled before pointing at the last task on the clipboard that he wrote when Stone wasn't looking.

"Can you and Egghead take us to Florida?"

Sonic asked, tilting his head slightly, waiting for an answer. Stone scoffed, starting to clean the cups as he rolled his eyes at Sonic's reply.

"Why would The Doctor want to take you guys to Florida?"

Stone mocked. Sonic gave Stone a playful smile before bringing Tails over. Sonic knows that Stone finds the two-tailed fox cute and might have a weakness against cute foxes.

Stone's breath hitched, looking at Tails, then Sonic, before sighing in defeat.

"Fine, I'll go ask the doctor."

Stone muttered before he politely asked the customers to leave and closed the cafe, leaving out the back as the two followed. When at the back, Tails pointed out that the Mobile Lab was parked perfectly on the curb, it was like Robotnik was trying to show off.

"Go get the others, I'll go get him."

Stone said, before opening the Lab door and walking in, closing the door behind him.

The trio and Wachowski were sitting on the chairs Stone had set up for them, waiting for Robotnik's reply.

"Absolutely not."

Robotnik denied, his tone laced with anger and disgust, as he didn't want to be trapped with these 'pests' and 'idiots' for who knows how long if he said yes.

"Why would I want you imbeciles in MY lab?"

Robotnik snapped, looking at the trio, before realizing that they brought Tom and Maddie Wachowski. Robotnik's angry frown got worse as he crossed his arms.

"Mr and Ms. Wachowski. What brings you two here?"

Robotnik asked, with as much malice as a person could have. Tom gave an angry look, stepping closer to Robotnik until they were face to face.

"She and I are coming with them, do you understand?"

Robotnik pretended to be intimidated by his hostile tone, his eyes widened as he put on a fake frown, making a mocking, scared look to rile up Tom even more.

"Oh no~ The Donut addicted sheriff is mad at me, oh, whatever should I do--"

"If you don't shut up, I'm gonna wipe that smug look off your face."

Tom interrupted, making Robotnik chuckle slightly. When things almost got physical, Maddie got in between them, putting her hands on her hips as she looked at both of them.

"No fighting. Nothing needs to get physical."

She insisted, making them back away from each other in one step.

"So, Egghead," She turned to Robotnik. "Do you say yes? If you don't, I will personally have Knuckles destroy all the robots in here, understood?"

She said in a threatening tone. Robotnik's eyes widen, but this time, it's serious.

"You wouldn't do that, would you?"

"Oh yeah, I would, so you either say yes or...That happens."

Robotnik paused, clenching his jaw as he thought, either have to go on a road trip with these imbeciles, or get his precious babies destroyed.

"Fine, but if you touch anything, I will personally kick you out of the lab while it's still driving."

It has only been a few minutes driving on the road, and everything is a mess, well, to Robotnik. Stone was driving the car, Sonic was trying to make small talk with him, Tails and Knuckles were practicing fighting, and Tom and Maddie Wachowski were just there.

"Hey, Egghead, if you're eating eggs, wouldn't you think you are eating yourself?"

Robotnik groaned in annoyance at Sonic's question, pinching the bridge of his nose, wondering if he should reply or just ignore that blue pest.

"That...That is just the most stupid question I have ever heard..."

"Aw, c'mon, Egghead! You have to answer it, I'm curious!"

Sonic insisted, running around Robotnik in circles as he waited for his reply.

"No, I don't think that I'm eating myself EVERYTIME I eat eggs, that is just...Weird."

Robotnik finally said. Sonic stopped, looking at Robotnik with a disappointed look, before running off elsewhere. The lab comes to a halt, making them confused, until Stone comes from the back.

"Doctor, I stopped at a gas station to fill up the gas, it was running out."

Stone inquired before leaving to fill up the gas. Robotnik groaned, leaning back to lie on the ground, feeling horrible and annoyed, mostly.

"OOOH! Donut Lord, can you buy us a snack at the gas station? Please, please, please?"

Sonic begged, giving Tom puppy eyes to try to convince him to buy them a snack. Knuckles' eyes widened as he heard the word "snack," before looking at Tom.

"Can I have that human snack? Cool Ranch Doritos?"

Knuckles asked, Tails nods, agreeing with Knuckles, leaving Tom no choice but to buy the team a snack.

"Fine, fine. I'll buy you guys a snack, come with me."

Tom finally said, making the trio cheer before following Tom out of the car.

It was only Maddie and Robotnik in the car, while Stone was in the front, in the driver's seat. It was quiet between them until Maddie glanced at Robotnik and thought it would be good to make small talk with Robotnik.

"So...What do you like? Other than robots, of course."

She questioned with a smile on her face, waiting for his reply. Robotnik was a bit startled by the question, not really having anyone ask him that before.

"Well," He paused, really thinking hard, before he had an answer. "World Domination? Umh. Lattes..."

Robotnik paused again, now starting to realize that those are the only things he likes: Robots, World Domination, and Lattes.

"I don't think I have any other interests. Is that bad?"

Robotnik asked, of course it was bad, Robotnik thought, feeling stupid for asking that. Maddie was also hesitant before replying to his question.

"I think it is."

Robotnik nodded.

Before they could continue their conversation, Tom and the others had already returned to the Lab with their snacks. Sonic got just classic chips, Tails got pretzels, and Knuckles, of course, got himself Cool Ranch Doritos. Tom only got a small snack, which was a Snickers bar.

"Mommy, look what I got!"

Tails yelled excitedly to Maddie as he held up his unopened bag of pretzels.

"Doesn't it look delicious!"

Tails asked, tilting his head to the side as he waited for her response.

"It does look delicious, Tails!"

She said before turning back to Sonic and Knuckles, who were already eating their snacks.

"What did you guys get?"

She asked, looking at the two. Sonic's ears perk up, looking up to face her with a smile. Knuckles looked up as well as Sonic.

"I just got these chips!"

"I got my Cool Ranch Doritos."

They both said. Maddie smiled before looking back at Tails, who was sitting next to her, eating his pretzels with such joy that she had never seen before, and found it kind of amusing.

"You really like those pretzels, do you?"

"Yes, Mama! They are excellent."

Tails said as he kept munching on the pretzels, almost dropping them when the lab got back on the road.

Driving to the next stop, it was already almost nighttime as the sun set. Robotnik, shocking for all, started to get comfortable with the Wachowski's, and for most of the trip, started talking more to Maddie.

When it was night, Stone parked the car at a Hotel and got them a room. There were three beds, since Stone got the biggest one.

They didn't have enough time to check the room before going to bed, so they went to sleep.

Maddie and Tom slept in one, Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles shared the second one, and Robotnik and Stone shared the last one for the night.

Even though this was only day one, it would be a long road trip for them.
