Biography

Kim Taehyung, better known by his stage name V, is a South Korean singer, songwriter, and actor. He is a member of the world-renowned K-pop group BTS, under BigHit Music (HYBE Corporation). Taehyung was born in Daegu and raised in Geochang, South Korea. He is known for his deep, soulful voice, charismatic stage presence, and artistic personality.

V made his official debut with BTS in 2013 and quickly gained popularity for his unique visuals and vocal tone. He has contributed to many of BTS’s songs and has also released solo tracks such as “Stigma”, “Singularity”, and “Inner Child” within BTS albums. In 2023, he released his first official solo album titled “Layover”, which received both critical and commercial success.

Aside from music, V has pursued acting and made his acting debut in the historical Korean drama “Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth” in 2016. He is also known for his interest in photography, fashion, and fine arts.

V is admired globally for his talent, personality, and style, and he continues to be a major influence in both the music and fashion industries.
