[ As usual, he follows-- and once in the living room stands in front of the couch, taking his time to sit down even when Komaeda gestures for him to. ]

You had a thought...

[ Even with the (relative) sympathy and what will probably be a nice visit, Hinata is still too anxious about the day to come. And so he sighs, finally flopping down next to his boyfriend. ]

And that'd be?

[ When they finally step into the house, his feet just naturally take him to the couch to plop down as he was before tending to the cat. He hums at the scowl; it’s so childish.]

I had a feeling you felt like that. I start working again tomorrow as well, so I sort of get it.

[ He pats the spot next to his, inviting as always. ]

[ It takes him a little bit to realize just what he means, but once he does, Hinata looks incredulously at Komaeda as he steps into the house and kicks off his shoes. ]

[ And it worked. In any case, the next question wipes his expression away, just to replace it with a scowl. ]

Didn’t you see the stray cat that just ran off?

That should be explanation enough.

[ Of course, he doesn’t even bother with explaining properly. What he does, though, is finally let Hinata in, looking very pleased with himself. ]

[ The cat is so fast to rush away that it almost goes unnoticed-- what was it doing inside Komaeda's house, anyway? 

... And what's with the weird reaction? 

Hinata only raises his eyebrows, shooting Komaeda a questioning look. ]

... Yeah, hello. I was doing some things around here, so I thought I'd drop by...

What worked, exactly?

[ The knock actually comes off as a surprise, if he’s honest.

Could it be?

The second he opens the door for his guest, the cat runs off back to the street, and he’s left alone with Hinata. Of course, the guy doesn’t even greet him properly. He just clenches his hands in excitement. ]

Aah, it worked like a charm!

[ The fact that he's pretty close to Komaeda's house after running some errands is totally a weirdly-well-timed coincidence. 

Totally.

He might as well drop by, since he's around already. So Hinata is soon knocking the door, muttering to himself. ]

I hope he's home...

[ Very casually slides the door open for the stray kitten that was hanging outside his home.]
