*doom music starts to play* I actually kindof like scheduling these kinds of appointments now...
but seriously Fellas, don't forget to schedule a pap smear every couple of years just in case. If you still have a cervix you can still get cervical cancer. ilu

shoutout to everyone trying to tell people the truth about how bad covid is in the face of vibes based unmasking.
do y'all remember when not wearing a mask was something liberals were self righteous about? till mr. blue maga took his mask off. dear lord.
was this the pandemic we were promised? dr. fauci said we could return to life as normal if we got below 10,000 cases a day. we are now at around a million. I couldn't tell you the last time cases were that low. years ago? were they ever?

if you honestly and respectfully ask someone why they are wearing a mask, everyone I know who wears one has an answer ready to go based on data. everyone I know not wearing a mask has not even really made a decision, it's literally 100% vibes.
you are not immune to propaganda. join us in taking precautions and protesting the death cult of capitalism. don't you want your kids, your nieces and nephews, your students to live good lives? it'll be a lot harder if their t cells and their vascular systems are fucked from covid. I just want us all to be well and to make it. 💗

best thing tumblr ever did for me is the term "rotating it in my mind". it's really true that sometimes you think about something real hard but you can't tell what the thoughts are exactly. it's revolutionary stuff, i might even say

In some cultures, it's perfectly normal for siblings to kiss each other and to shower together <- (of the same gender but it's not unheard of for siblings of different genders showering together also)
In asian culture, for example, a culture that I grew up under, it was normal to bathe together!!! But if you mention it to someone who is white. It's a shock, pure culture shock to the point they are HORRIFIED. They start running their mouth,
"omg! You were groomed!" , "That's so gross!" , "How could your parents allow that!?"
They start acting like you said you and your sibling were getting intimate when all you said was that you grew up showering together sometimes. Their brains are rotted with the incest porn genre, a genre they are so obsessed with that it always seems to be in the back of their minds. It annoys me.
I think about the time where someone talked about how in their culture they grew up kissing their siblings on the cheek, lips <- (little pecks), and their nose. And white people immediately flooded in and said it was incest. WHY?
Why does the idea of other cultures existing seem like such a foreign concept to you? Why do you need to label it as something it's not? It's exhausting, it's annoying trying to defend the way we grew up all because white people cannot handle it.

I hate the trope of "I refuse to hit women!! [Gets decked]" cause it's boring but I do like the trope of someone in an RPG going "hey I don't wanna hit a kid that's kinda fucked up" and the kid just obliterates them

One thing about me is that I will defend Romeo and Juliet until the day I die. “They weren’t in love—” the point is that they were never allowed to figure that out themselves because of the hateful society they lived in. They were kids who didn’t get to figure these things out because they died. “Romeo should have checked—” Juliet didn’t have a pulse. He didn’t know about the plan. “Juliet was dumb for taking the potion—” She was a 13 year old girl. That was the Friar’s fault, not hers. It was the fault of the adults who should have known better.

I want to tell a story to the artists and would-be artists out there.
When I was 19, I made a large oil painting of the nerd I would eventually marry. I poured all my attention and care into this painting. It's the only art I have from back then that still holds up as a work I'm proud of today.
I entered it into a judged show at the local art center. It got an honorable mention. I went to see the show with my beloved model. One of the judges came up to talk to me, and highlighted that all the judges really liked the painting. It would have placed, except, you see, the feet were incorrect. They were too wide and short, and if I just studied a bit more anatomy-
I called over my future wife, and asked her to take off her shoe. Being already very used to humoring me, she did. The judge looked at her very short, very wide little foot. Exactly as I'd lovingly rendered it. I would never edit her appearance in any way.
The judge looked me in the eye, and to his credit, he really looked like he meant it when he said "Oh I'm so sorry."
Anyways the moral of the story is that all of those anatomy books that teach you proportions are either showing you averages, or a very specific idea of an idealized body. Actual bodies are much more varied than that.
So don't forget to draw from observation, and remember that humans aren't mass produced mannequins. Delight in our variation. Because it's supposed to be there.
