La Dispute's No One Was Driving The Car released an hour ago and it's absolutely perfect, the two songs I've not heard yet did NOT disappoint in any way.

It just skyrocketed to the top of my personal list of album releases of 2025, which for what it's worth now consists of:

As a sidenote I have yet to listen to the new Deftones thing. Probably isn't going in the list but I should listen all the same.

Idk if you fuck with Vocaloid or J-metal, but I got this a while ago.

I do like a lot of J-metal! Counterintuitively I am not too into Vocaloid tho I do listen to it on occasion. All this to say that these songs are GOOD!! Very good actually, I love the guttural effect on the voice, very Black Metal-coded. It's right up my alley.

The more melodic aspects, and the overall sound, reminded me a ton of Silent Planet, Asunojokei and Portrayal of Guilt, which is to say I liked it too.

It's not too busy, it's very solid and the melodic aspect is somewhat simple in it's approach of modern metal, but it shines bright and beautiful all around, it was amazing

Preaching the truths already known but Fleetwood Mac's self-titled and Rumours' covers are absolutely perfect aesthetically.

Also the songs are good.
