Say hello to my take on SandWings! They are the second smallest tribe in the world next to SilkWings, and during the wars, they were well known for using their size to their advantage. While RainWings have prehensile tails, SandWings have highly flexible tails. They're able to twist them in just about any direction they need to in order to strike their opponent. For a little peek into their culture, SandWings hold a high pride towards their tail barbs. Since they are the only dragon with such an unusual natural defense, they often cover their barbs in jewelry, polish, clothing, and even tattoos.

I'm back! And I bring you MudWings! This tribe doesn't look very different, but the big overhaul is with their culture. Their horns are inspired by layers of sediment, and I imagine that they get more "layers" as they get older. Older individuals also often have some algae growing on their body, most commonly on their backs. They have some webbing between their talons and keep the wing-walking habits of their Primalae Lutum ancestors. Now for their culture. They value things like food, having celebrations for each season, and the hard work associated with agriculture. Pottery, as it's directly tied to their religion, referred to as "The First Potter." Now, this is the big change. Above all else, these MudWings value family. They have the largest egg clutches in the world and have very extended families. They're also the type of dragon to know all of their neighbors and have earned MudWings the nickname "The Tribe that's a family."

This is Primalae Essglacie, the first IceWing. Now, don't let their fluffy appearance fool you. They lived on the frost bitten shores of young Pyrrhia's north pole, and their fur and feathers were actually very well adapted to swimming. Now, at their time, the pole wasn't yet fully covered in ice, hence their darker colors.

Next, I'll be doing the modern-day tribes of Pyrrhia. (When is say "modern," I mean after the Royal SandWing Succession War)

This is Essglacie Sputan Drapisc, which will become ice spitting dragons. They started to develop hemocyanin rich blood to better transport blood in the growing cold of the northern ocean of young Pyrrhia. They could also spit out a compound of liquid nitrogen (N2). By pulling water through their gills, they could super cool it in special made pouches on the insides of their throats before spitting it out. They most likely would've used this to scare off predators like an octopus with ink.

This is Primalae Nox, the first NightWing. They came from a group of Primalae Harenae that ended up on the new Talon Peninsula of young Pyrrhia. It's not entirely certain as to how exactly they ended up there. Maybe a storm, or just a small group that ventured too far southwest. No matter how they got there, they started to develop a nocturnal lifestyle and would glide between the cliffs and valleys and nest in cliff side caves. The silver under their eyes is believed to have helped them see in the dark by reflecting light into their eyes, with the silver down their sides to communicate to other Primalae Nox.

This is Primalae Harenae, the first SandWing. They came from a group of Primalae Caelum that moved west across the mountains until they arrived at the desert. They had thick soles on their talons and wing claws. It's unsure exactly when, why, or how they started to develop their tail barbs.

This is Primalae Lutum, the start of the MudWings. They evolved from a portion of Primalae Caelum that moved down and inland into the marshes and swamps of young Pyrrhia. They used the tusks on their lower jaw as tools to dig up roots and tubers, oysters, and clams as well as to dig out their burrows. They also started to use their wings as a walking aid, not full-on knuckle-walking like pterosaurs, but they would follow along as their legs moved. Their wing claws also started to become poseable, and they do have poseable thumbs on their front claws, I just couldn't draw them.

This is Primalae Caelum, the start of the SkyWings and the start of fire-breathing dragons. They came up out of the North Sea to have their eggs on the cliff sides and adapted into a niche similar to real-world sea birds. They didn't have full flight abilities but would catch the updrafts from the ocean to hover and skim the water before diving down and catching fish. Then, they would swim back to shore and climb back up to their nests. They also started to develop a very interesting defense mechanism. The gas that their Essigne Sputan Drapisc used as ballasts turned out to be flammable, so they would burp it up like Essigne, but would spark it by clapping their beaks to make small explosions.

This is the common ancestor of the fire-breathing dragons. They used a bladder filled with gas like a ballast, like how real worl fish use air as a ballast, and also would burp up the gas to go lower.

This is Primalae Pluvia, the start of the RainWings. They are descendants of Primalae Maris that found having their nest and eggs be in the branches of the mangroves proved to be quite useful. They glided between tree branches using their small wings and had already started to develop impressive camouflage that they used to hide themselves and their eggs as well as scare off potential threats. The trace venom from their Primalae Maris relatives had developed into a more potent venom, and they could shoot it for short distances.

This is Primalae Maris, the start of the SeaWings. These proto-dragons lived in small pods and primarily lived in the Eastern shallow seas of young Pyrrhia but would migrate to the mangroves to have their eggs. They used their bioluminescence to confuse predators and to signal to other members of their pod. They could glide above water in a similar way to flying fish for short distances to escape predators, but as a last resort, they had very trace amounts of venom in their teeth.

The next part to my WOF-ReImagined Project, Noessigne Sputan Drapisc, and yeah, I know that's a bit of a mouth full. This is the common ancestor of the non-fire breathing dragons of Pyrrhia, aka SeaWings and RainWings.

They use their mild bioluminescence as a defense mechanism to confuse predators or as a mating display.

Hi, I'm writing this at 11:40pm because my brain won't let me sleep.
So, you guys apparently are quite interested in this WOF-ReImagined Project of mine, so I'm here to talk more about it. Specifically I'm here to talk about the changes to the timeline that I've made.
The dragon tribes of Pyrrhia have been through a Stone, Bronze, Golden, and most recently, a Dark Age. I'm gonna go into a bit more detail about the Golden and Dark Age.
The Golden Age was essentially the absolute height of the tribes. Trade was made frequently and throughout the tribes, and dragons visiting different tribes at leisure was extremely common. This was the era that Darkstalker was born into, and he was sealed away right before the Golden Age Collapse.
Soon after Darkstalker was sealed away and Clearsight left for Pantala, a series of continent wide earthquakes rocked Pyrrhia, causing massive droughts. This led to many disputes over resources and unfortunately led to almost constant wars for the next thousand or so years.
This brings us to the SandWing Royal Succession War. In my rewrite it lasted closer to 100-150 years due to the dragons longer lifespan. At this point, Pyrrhia had known nothing but hate and bloodshed for too long, and dragons were getting tired, so when the first prophecy arose for the first time since the NightWings disappeared from the mainland? Specifically about dragons capable of ending not just this war, but would usher Pyrrhia into a new Golden Age? Hope started to sprout up again.
I'm gonna end this here so that things don't get too long, but tell me what you think.

Ahem. So, I have this little project I've been working on for a year or so now, it's essentially an alternate universe of Wings Of Fire. I've been calling it my WOF-ReImagined Project, and I just recently entered Vr3.0 of it. To kick it off, I've started to make a speculative evolution of all the tribes and a timeline up until their modern day. If you want me to talk about it more please let me know.
