Gaza is starving. Famine is not just a threat anymore, t’s here, and it’s killing people silently. Parents are helpless, watching their children go to sleep hungry night after night, with no idea how they’ll feed them tomorrow.

And as if that’s not enough, the little aid that does make it in is being stolen, resold at insane prices that no ordinary person can afford. The system is broken, and the people are paying the price.

How long will fathers have to choose between dignity and survival?

How long will Gaza be left alone to suffer?

Once, there was a small garden that bloomed with colors and life. Birds sang in its branches, and butterflies danced among the flowers. But one season, the rain forgot to come. The sun scorched the earth, and the flowers began to droop. The soil , the leaves turned yellow, and the once joyful garden grew silent—on the brink of death.

Every morning, the garden looked up to the empty sky, longing for a drop of mercy. Days passed, and hope began to fade—until one day, clouds gathered. Thunder rolled, and the first drop fell. Then came another, and another, until the sky opened with blessings. Rain poured over the garden like heaven's tears, soaking the dry soil, waking the roots, and reviving the flowers. Life returned, slowly but surely, and the garden smiled again.

This garden is Gaza. We are its roots, its flowers, its soul. For months, we have withered under the harshest war and unimaginable suffering. Yet, like the garden, we lift our eyes to the sky, waiting for God's mercy to rain upon us—believing that His help is near, and that no matter how long the drought lasts, the rain will come. And when it does, we will bloom again.

To those who extend their hands with kindness and generosity—thank you. Your support is like the first drops of rain, giving us strength to hold on, to keep believing. In your compassion, we find the courage to hope, and in your humanity, we see the promise of a brighter tomorrow.

Finally, Ramadan has arrived, the month of blessings and goodness. I have always loved this month and cherished our traditions and customs during it.

This is the second Ramadan that comes upon us when we are no longer who we used to be. Our lives are no longer the same, and we no longer feel the desire to celebrate as we once did.

But we have not lost hope and never will. We will reclaim our lives, regain our happiness, and once again celebrate Ramadan, Eid, and all the beautiful occasions.

Ramadan is an opportunity for solidarity, support, and doing good. Support us as much as you can during this blessed month. Support us so we can heal and rise again.

The bombing and bloodshed have finally stopped. In just a few hours, we will move from the southern part of the region to the northern part. However, unfortunately, we have no shelter due to the destruction caused by the bombardment. There is still a great fear of a ceasefire breach, leading to a return to killing, bombing, and displacement. So, please, if you can donate even a little to help get us out of here alive, do not hesitate to contribute.

Since the first week of the war, we were forced to leave our homes and Gaza City, seeking refuge in the south. Since that day, we have been dreaming of the day we can return to our city and neighborhood. Although we lost our homes and everything we owned, we still dream of going back.

According to the terms of the ceasefire agreement, we can return to Gaza City within two weeks. Unfortunately, we do not have the money to cover the cost of returning.

The transportation needed to move us and our belongings will cost approximately $1,000, an amount we do not have.

Will this amount stand as a barrier to fulfilling our dream of returning to the rubble of our homes?

During the war, I got to know an American individual who was a strong supporter of the Palestinian cause. He was incredibly supportive throughout the war. However, I lost contact with him a long time ago and was unable to reach him. I asked another American friend to try contacting him through his personal phone number, and here is a screenshot of the response I received. It turns out he had been threatened by some Zionists, and his life was put in danger.

This situation highlights the contradiction in a country like the United States, which is often portrayed as the "land of freedom." While the freedom of expression is supposed to be a fundamental right, those who voice their opinions or support a particular cause, especially one as contentious as Palestine, often face persecution, suppression, and intimidation. It raises serious questions about the reality of these freedoms and whether they truly apply to everyone equally.

We are grateful to have survived with our lives and the lives of our loved ones through one of the greatest massacres of modern times. We lost so many dear ones, our homes, and our possessions. But we hold onto the promise of God’s compensation.

When I hear news about a potential ceasefire agreement, I’m overwhelmed by a turbulent mix of emotions—yearning for safety, yet filled with apprehension and uncertainty about the life ahead. Who among us can imagine the emotions we’ll face when we leave the displacement in the south and return to Gaza City, to the neighborhood we’ve always called home? How will I feel when we reach the area where my house once stood, only to find nothing but rubble and stones?

Yes, we long to rebuild our lives, but where do we start, and how? What resources are left to sustain even the simplest life?

Sadly, while we may have survived this war with our bodies intact, our souls are shattered. It feels as though we are merely living bodies, stripped of spirit.

The way some people and institutions in the West treat those who are different from them is deeply disappointing. It’s heartbreaking to see individuals proudly boasting about reporting fundraisers meant to support Palestinian families in need. Even worse, banks freezing life-saving funds or authorities harassing those trying to help their loved ones in Gaza. These actions only add to the immense suffering of innocent people. Instead of showing compassion and humanity, some choose to obstruct efforts to provide relief. Such behavior deserves serious reflection and change.
