“People have been THINKING too long that ART is a PRIVILEGE of the MUSEUMS & the RICH. It does not belong to banks & fancy investors ART IS FOOD. You cant EAT it BUT it FEEDS you.” (The WHY CHEAP ART? manifesto, Bread & Puppet Glover, 1984)

Fundamental civil freedoms will be granted to the population, including real personal inviolability, freedom of conscience, speech, assembly and association.
Participation in the Duma will be granted to those classes of the population which are at present deprived of voting powers, insofar as is possible in the short period before the convocation of the Duma, and this will lead to the development of a universal franchise. There will be no delay to the Duma elect already been organized.
It is established as an unshakeable rule that no law can come into force without its approval by the State Duma and representatives of the people will be given the opportunity to take real part in the supervision of the legality of government bodies. (October Manifesto, Sergei Witte & Alexis Obolenski)

“1. That death is a type of space, which we intend to map, enter, colonise and, eventually, inhabit.
2. That there is no beauty without death, its immanence. We shall sing death’s beauty — that is, beauty.
3. That we shall take it upon us, as our task, to bring death out into the world. We will chart all its forms and media: in literature and art, where it is most apparent; also in science and culture, where it lurks submerged but no less potent for the obfuscation. We shall attempt to tap into its frequencies — by radio, the internet and all sites where its processes and avatars are active. [..]”

“Today, on the analogy, it's question of preventing the writing of an informal constitution which submits the general intellect to a system based on exploitation and the ecocide. The struggle is still against the language of the powers that be, in order to create by merry pranks new links between things (i.e. networking) and break any old hierarchy. As Rabelais emphasized in his works that the Middle Age was over and that new social relations were beating up the inertial force of the feudal world, so we have to point out that wagework has become unnecessary, that information and technology must belong to everybody, and so on. However, it is insufficient to wait for a 'short-circuit' or to hope for cathartic explosions: rather, we must create a scientific strategy of the merry prank. [...] Anyone can be Luther Blissett simply by adopting the name. Become Luther Blissett.” (Luther Blissett, Manifesto)

“The male, having a very limited range of feelings, and consequently, very limited perceptions, insights and judgements, needs the ‘artist’ to guide him, to tell him what life is all about. But the male ‘artist’ being totally sexual, unable to relate to anything beyond his own physical sensations, having nothing to express beyond the insight that for the male life is meaningless and absurd, cannot be an artist. [...] A ‘male artist’ is a contradiction in terms. A denegerate can only produce degenerate ‘art’. The true artist is every self-confident, healthy female, and in a female society the only Art, the only Culture, will be conceited, kooky, funky, females grooving on each other and on everything else in the universe.” (Solanas, S.C.U.M. Manifesto)
