     “What do you think it means?” Jaz asks, stalling for time while she comes up with a meaning for the metaphor.

     What caught her attention were the fingerspelling that was visible on the window. One could possibly believe that it was just redundant decoration, but she was perceptive; recognizing the sign for tea.  Mimicking the signs with her own hands, she attempted to get accustomed to the feeling of it. 

     It merely took a moment for her to notice Jasmine waving at her from the front door of it, allowing a soft smile to surface on her lips. She was not particularly skillful when it came to signing, but being friends with Jasmine sure had aided her in her learning process. One of the biggest reasons for why she had picked up the class was to communicate with her better, and learning languages was an important thing for her.

     ❛ Hey, how are you? ❜  she signed. It was a simple thing, not too complicated for her to sign. One of the first things that she had learned in class. But even the simplest things could become difficult if they were not practiced extensively.  ❛ Nice place. I see they have tea. ❜ 

      Jaz smiles wider, signing, “Great, you?” in return. It’s not a necessity for people to sign to her, but it always makes her heart smile when they do. Showing that consideration and willingness to learn is just... feels good, man.

      “It’s a wonderful place; the owners are Deaf and most of the employees, too. There’s little signs to show people how to order in sign.” Jaz is signing a little slower than her usual rate, giving Raven the best chance to follow along. “You seem like more of a tea person than a coffee person.”
