ICYMI Blondie had a human friend he met when he was searching for the whole immortality thing..I just call him "The Boy" ..TB was the one who saves Blondie when he was held captive by the villagers because they thought Blondie was a dangerous yaoguai when he first approached their settlement ..The Boy meant alot to Blondie he was his best friend🙂‍↕️ The boy was also the previous reincarnation of his now master... so that makes him the golden cicada

Blondie has since wiped out the memories of The Boy because he was so heartbroken when he thought he was abandoned by him he also lost his whimsy and became super distant and avoidant as a result of the forced memory loss..he avoids getting too close to people bc of his abandonment issues..he also developed some slight touch phobia because of this.. he's just a sadge monkey who lost his bestie fr fr

he starts his healing process when on the journey after he met back with his "old friend" who now is his master and slowly recovers back his past memories of The Boy.. the young monk is strangely comforting to him no matter how many times he denies it..he can't help but stick around him and protect him

Yea I'm not good with words.. writing this already cringes tf outta me bc i think in my head it make sense but when written out it's like 🤮🤮.. please don't judge there's a reason why i draw more than writing..just a lil short info on Blondie's backstory and to explain why he is the way he is lmfao.. I really need to draw more Blondie and The Boy tbh 🥹
