LOG 001: THE HIGHWIND
Day 1
The cargo ship, âThe Highwindâ. Several Teneeans and a Rhinean alien (a rhino-like race) boarded Captain Ruven Ossimovâs ship. On course to Elesaur. Most of the passengers did not interact. The beastman from the Yatanpi System seemed to pace back and forth as if on guard or restless, never acknowledging the others unless spoken to. The strange hooded girl, whose name was Opal, sat in a corner and sometimes appeared to be attempting to interact with the other passengers. So too did the Moeshan boy named Goousch. The Captain and his Lieutenant did not join the passengers and remained in either the cockpit or captainâs quarters for most of the journey.Â
Opal attempted to speak with the beastman, name logged as Kajani Nuvazas on the passenger manifest. He questioned her as to what she was and accepted her compliment of his fur before returning to his earlier behavior. Goousch introduced himself to Opal, after which he proceeded to ask a crewman to relay an offer of help to Captain Ruuven. Unfortunately, being a Tenean ship, Goouche found he couldnât be of much help in the engine room due to Moeshan technology being far different from the technomancy inherent to Tenean technology. The Tarnacian, Rhinean, and several other Teneans mostly kept to each other.
Day 2
Agent Kaine appeared to be keeping notice of their passengers, with a particular interest in Kajala, Opal and Goousch. The ship crew, including Captain Ruuven, his Lieutenant and bodyguard Kaine went into recess for a meeting to discuss their passengers. During so, the ship came to a halt and large harpoon-like devices bursted through the hull of the cargo hold. Upon opening, several space pirates came pouring out of the connecting tunnel, pronouncing themselves to be the Novaburn Freebooters.
Captain Grimjaw pronounced their intent to board and abduct all crew and passengers, while another named Buzzsaw began to hack the ship and shut down the life support systems. Several pirates began to shoot nets over the Tenean passengers and others. Opal stood behind Kajala for protection, given his 8â0â mass. Captain Ruven and crew began making their way to the cargo hold to assist in pushing back the Freebooters. Kajala was the first to charge into the invaders, bowling through them and knocking them prone. Through Opalâs psychic powers, she detected nothing but delight in the beastman as he engaged in the carnage, while the Freebooters began to feel shock and horror.
Upon their arrival, Captain Ruven greeted Goousch and requested him to restore the shipâs life support systems after find Gooush had implemented counter-hacking measures against the Freebooters. Kaine arrived and dispatched of one of the kidnappers with poison via built-in hypodermic needles and blew off Captain Grimjawâs blaster hand with a well aimed strike from his plasma rifle. Two Freebooters attacked Kajala with energy sabres, who appeared unphased, picking them both up by their sword arms. Kajala proceeded to open his maw more wide than thought possible, followed by metallic looking teeth extending outwards. The Freebooter in his right hand screamed in terror as Kajala bit into him and his innards and blood poured down Kajala and to the floor beneath, killing the pirate. The pirate was thrown across the cargobay leaving a trail of blood and guts.
Grimjaw, in his rage, called for more reinforcements. Goousch had hacked into Buzzsawâs holo-screens spamming him with lewd advertisements. He then hacked into the Novaburnâs ship at this point, and managed to close the doors to the boarding hooks, locking out Buzzsaw and Grimjaw.
One of the pirates saw their friend dead at Kajalaâs feet and shot Kajala with a blaster, which he merely flinched at. In response he used a nearby Freebooter as a weapon, swinging him with incredible force into the assailant and those around him. The sound of snapping vertebrae and bones echoed through the carnage, killing the blaster Pirate and one in his hand, whose arm became unattached from the force. In between the carnage, Opal appeared to become possessed or change nature, raising her hands in the air and resulting in several horrific apparitions rising from the floor to attack the remaining crew members. Afterwards, a metallic whip appeared from Kajalaâs hands and he swung it, slicing three of the six remaining Pirates into pieces. Kaine parlayed with the remaining three pirates, resulting in their swift and terrified surrender.
Unfortunately, some passengers were taken before the Novaburn Freebooters and Captain Grimjaw escaped. Captain Ruuven took it extremely hard, losing his composure, weeping on the floor of the cargo hold. Opal meant to heal Kajala, but realized his few wounds had healed while devouring flesh from the bodies he had created while defending Ruuvenâs ship. Kajala approached Ruven and asked him to take the crew and passengers to their cabins so that he could attend to cleanup detail in the Cargo Bay. In his mourning, Ruuven snapped back, and Kajala walked off.Â
After attempting to console Ruuven and not getting through to him, Gooush began to jerry-rig the boarding hooks so that they would safely seal and not cause the ship to peel apart on atmosphere re-entry. Kaine helped with the process on the exterior, while Opal used her psychic powers to comfort the terrorized and panicked crew and passengers, calming their emotions. Ruven regained his composure through Opalâs assistance, though solemn, and began back to his quarters. Goousch noted that while in the Novaburnâs systems he was able to place a tracking device, and gave it to Ruvenâs lieutenant Althiod to report back to the Federation.
After all the crew and passengers had left the cargo hold, Kajala came to Goousch and requested he shut the lights off for a few minutes. Nervous, Goousch made Kajala promise to not kill any of his people for future instances in trade. Kajala agreed and returned to the cargo hold. As the lights went out, a horrific alien song (or roar) echoed throughout the ship. Once the lights were raised again, the cargo hold appeared spotless - no bones, blood stains or any remains were left of the carnage that took place there in the hour earlier.

THE FEDERATION AND YOU:Â A BRIEF GUIDE TO THE GALAXY

UNITED GALACTIC FEDERATION OF SENTIENTS
The Federation was founded from the Peacekeeperâs initial contact with other advanced races outside of their own solar system and a many generations of trial and tribulations with the races now on the Council of Seven. Formed upon the principles of granting fundamental rights to sentient beings, promoting social and technological progress, and their non-interference policies with developing systems.
The leading body of the Federation is the Council of Seven (previously the Council of Six before the Teneans recent addition). It is comprised of the most elite and technologically advanced races of the Kheldas Galaxy. It is seen in reaching such levels, the Seven have put aside petty differences to work towards the betterment and progress of the galaxy as a whole and bring the other denizens of the galaxy into the fold. With their most esteemed leaders at the forefront of decision making, the Federation has grown into a formidable and well bodied system of leadership for the Kheldas Galaxy. They are not without their bureaucratic red tape, burdening sanctions and regulations, bad decisions, and lengthy debate periods as with any system of government; especially being on a galactic level.
But who is a part of this mysterious clandestine ruling body? Say no more as we venture through the highly advanced races of our grand galaxy!
THE COUNCIL OF SEVEN
The Teneans, the most recent addition to the council and the most tenacious. With their fantastical hybridization of magic and psionics into their machinery, harnessing the raw Primal Elements never looked so easy. Yet this race isnât without its troubled past and resentment to the rest of the Council. These spunky,squishy, near hairless bipeds were almost wiped out completely by the Peacekeepers from a miscalculation that is still frowned upon to this day. Introducing a nanotechnology to have this race take a few steps back and rethink their volatile emotional reactions didnât account for it being mystically connected to their Primal Pattern. The resulting mutated Manaphage was thankfully extracted by a Deus Ex event of the god-like Kheldari coming to intervene and save the race. Now part of the Federation with a seat on the Council, these fellows govern with a divine purpose upon their backs.
Peacekeepers! Everyone's loved and adored, most militaristic advanced race.Commonly known as the âGraysâ by their adoring fans, the Peacekeepers are the eldest race in the galaxy now that the Kheldari have gone to parts unknown. They govern themselves with a self imposed purpose of policing the galaxy in order to keep the other races and ruling bodies out of conflict with each other. The Peacekeepers were the initial founders of the Federation, causing much of its laws and regulations to be built around their own beliefs and incorporating consolations from the other ruling races. The only known large-scale error in their ways, was introducing what became the mutated Manaphage to the Tenean homeworlds before the Teneans joined the Council - causing a near genocide of the Tenean people. To say animosity still exists between the two races is an understatement. The Great Transgression, as history has named it, is still a large stain upon the Peacekeeperâs considerably clean record in the history of their race and still pains their people to this day (one would hope).
Letâs not forget the Moeshan. The amphibian-like techno-geniuses have spread their influence and technology through the galaxy with bright, booming minds full of innovation. Hailing from a mysterious deep ocean planet, this race has segregated their different biological variances to specified tasks and roles to provide the utmost efficiency in life on the planet - simply beautiful! Having a neutral standpoint on bringing progress to the technological advancement of the galaxy has given this race a favorable outlook from the rest of galaxy-kind. Oh, and be sure to compliment them - it makes them work even more efficiently...
With all the techno-talk of the Moeshan, nothing can compare to the cold, calculating ability of the Modri. Their entire race has âmoved beyondâ the hindrance of fleshy bits and converted to completely mechanical bodies. The Modrianâs knack for calculation and analysis are second to none without any of those pesky biological shortcomings in the way. Their way of life stems from their unanimous membership into The Ascendancy - a Modrian order that voices technocratic dogma of the only way for true progress to form from the galaxy is to shed oneâs mortal shell for a mechanized one. Back on their homeworld of Mechara everything runs like clockwork thanks to the Ascendancy and stays within expected and calculated measures. Theyâre wonderful at what they do, from auditing your taxes to crafting an expert battle plan. The Modrianâs humor could use a bit of work though.
Weâve come to the Tarnacians. None can deny their sheer strength of magical capability to harness the Primal Elements into feats of untold wonder. But having unprecedented amounts of magical skill under their backwater belts doesnât account for superior intellectual capacity. Along with holding a seat on the Council of Seven, they operate one of the galactic-level megacorps - ScalaCo, with CEO âBig Rexâ at the helm on their homeworld Tarnacia. Selling all manner of alchemical & magical potions, gear, and curios - all with their abundant list of potential side effects, yet people still keep coming back for more.
The Shloons - a still âprimitiveâ in technological scale, but highly capable race that gives balance to the technocratic leanings of the rest of the Council of Seven. The incredibly hardy race is entirely botanic and gains their sustenance simply from the cosmic radiation of space brought about from the Primal Fire of stars. Each member of this green-thumbed race holds a mystical connection to their homeworld Mother-tree Nindra that even holds a sentience herself. Found to have an unnaturally calm demeanor, the Shloons are slow to anger, but possess an unbridled Primal wrath when finally pushed to their limits; controlling and manipulating the very flora around them to their will. Word of advice - donât.

The wonderful world of the Protostar⢠Corporation is brought to you by Phineas T. Rotostar and his helpful family of clones and re-programmable mechadroids. Being the largest privately held and most successful megacorp specializing in any and all aspects of trade, defense, exploration, real estate, and nutritional simulation sciences in the known galaxy - itâs no wonder âPappa Phineasâ is the consumeristâs best friend.
Following in the âBig Threeâ are Symbotic Pharmaceuticals. Ran by the Cenitians, an intelligent race of morphic ooze, Symbotic specializes in all manner of medical innovation and application. Their shining creations are their Symbots - programmable symbiotes that aid in a multitude of medical treatments and physiological boosting needs. You wonât walk into a medical facility or frontier planetary settlement without finding Symbots in use!
It wouldnât be fair in business to fail elaborating on ScalaCo. The reptilian ran business of mystical amazement is the largest and most prevalent dealer in anything magical. Healing potions, invisibility cloaks, whimsical flying carpets - itâs all there and more. Plus an untold amount of very possible and potential side effects from magical hiccups in the harnessing of the Primal Elements. I hope you enjoy those mooo-velous udders.
DANGERS OF THE GALAXY - BLASTER TRAINING IS YOUR FRIEND
No manner of civilization big or small (big in this case on a galactic level) is without its corruption. Keep the kids away from strangers and shady alleys folks - the Black Sun Cartel is watching. A galactic size organization of crime bosses and near-do-wells, the âCartelâ as theyâre commonly called deals in all things drug, hedonistic, trafficking, laundering and other suspicious and illegal activity. No one knows who the true head of this nefarious group is, but thereâs none to worry as long as you stay a straight laced citizen and leave it to the Federationâs capable hands!
Not to be forgotten especially the further from Federation space one ventures, are the loose coalition of space pirates known as the Novaburn Freebooters. This rag-tag group of ruffians traverses the galaxy, vying for individual wealth, power, and fabled Kheldari artifacts. One can quickly identify these fellows on the horizon from their signature banner emblazoned on their ships.
THE PRIMAL ELEMENTS - FABRIC OF REALITY
Science doesnât have to be your strong suit to know what makes the universe tick. Earth, Air, Fire, Water, Logic, and Life - these are the raw supreme forces that make up anything and everything as their Primal Pattern. From space travel to your toaster - the Primal Elements are at work. Through the combination of different physical expressions and energies of these forces, our technology does its duty and allows us to function as civilization as a whole. Some races even have the power to manipulate the Primal Elements in their raw forms, causing the fantastical results we better know as magic!
WAR & ADVENTURE, EXPLORATION OF THE FRINGE
Finally we come to the fringes of the galaxy! Joined together with like minded races at the edges of the galaxy, the FDC has been an ongoing opposition against the Federation taking the final step of bringing the galaxy under one benevolent ruling body. Decimating defenseless colonization ships, hijacking or sabotaging cargo transports, and violent space skirmishes are all par for the course for this hostile group. One day, it is the hope of the Federation to finally bring this sizable opposing force into the fold to finally have the galaxy at peace.
STYGIAN GATES - VISITING GRANDMA WITH FTL TRAVEL
All this wouldnât be possible without the fabled creation of the precursor Kheldari race - the Stygian Gates. Found in every known solar system in the galaxy, these massive solid rings of unknown organic-like alloy allow one travel from one system to another. The only catch, is that they tap into the very fabric of Primal Life itself and go straight into the Land of the Dead! Interconnected by byways within this haunting realm, Time itself becomes relevant, and in the length it would take to travel from one planet to the next, you arrive in a connecting solar system. However, this mode of travel isnât without its dangers as there are many nasty, horrendous, nightmarish beings that call this realm home. I cannot hide my emotions. My father and mother are the only ones who came to see me off. Mother is just crying, Father consoles her without so much as a sideways glance at my shuttle. I understand banishment is not meant to be a pleasant affair but a shred of sympathy or understanding would make this much easier on both of us. I must have told them a hundred times I didn't do it on purpose or that I even did it at all. My father would hear none of it. The shame was worse than any punishment that the Council could mete out. I'm lucky they let me live at all after what I "did". Now all I can do is stare down at the shrinking platform as the shuttle tears through the atmosphere and off to the nearest star port.

I have been in this port for a little over a month (using earth time frames to make things easier). Andromedon is the antithesis to Piscerna. Everything here REEKS. The walls smell of whatever scum migrated on the backs of the bums and vagrants that pass through here. Scorch marks pockmark the walls from whatever bar fight or barter dispute happened there who knows how long ago. I have a little money my parents were allowed to send me off with, not much but enough to ensure I don't die at the starting line. I found a place that will house me for cheap....ok it's a wrecker's shop but who could blame me? I was top in my Machines: Theory and Practice class until my accident and the guy cuts me cheap rent in exchange for help around the shop. The boss is a cutthroat businessman and I use that term quite literally. I hear a lot of interesting tales and stories around the shop. People don't seem to notice me too much when I'm sweeping up around the shop or adjusting the tuning knob on a busted up Dowser.

The boss caught me snagging spare parts destined for the incinerator again. I'm out on the streets and can't find a job due to my already shoddy reputation and current thief status. I managed to "find and board" a ship that was headed for federation space. and now I'm hiding out behind the engines. OH FLIZZ-

Well I finally made it to Federation space. The captain of the ship I was stowing away in wasn't too happy about my intrusion but I managed to demonstrate my mechanical prowess by fixing his metallic arm, the one grabbing me by the collar and sparking. He promised not to report me to the federation if I stuck around a while to fix a few things on his rickity hunka. Now I'm here in Fed Space, still without a job but better off than I was back on Andromedon. You'll never believe who I ran into. EDISON. He looked a little worse for wear but it was definitely him. His breath smelled like Sterilizer and Fruit for some reason. Perhaps he was testing some food synthesis or something. Anyways once he realized who I was, which took many pictures and detailed recounts of him and my father, he agreed to take me under his wing.Â
We got back to his shop.......ok it was a stall outside the restaurant district where he fixed up little nick-nacks and gizmos but it was somewhat popular. We went back to his place after not having much business, he said the rush had already passed though I'm not sure. He had a little place all to himself. The tiniest bed sat almost unused and dusty in the corner while the rest of the space was dedicated to all sorts of mechanical wonders and curios to blow even the most traveled being's mind. He said things were going pretty good, but i saw his eyes water a bit as he said this. I'm sure he's just on a back swing. I told him what happened and he pitied me. He said he would teach me some things to help me out. I fall asleep most nights on the stool in front of the workbench he set up just for me. I wake most mornings in the bed though. This is curious because I don't think I sleep walk. I must investigate this further....Â

Edison and I have developed many great things during my apprenticeship with him. He outfitted my pack with little docking stations for my tadpoles...wait that sounds weird. They are little drones we call tadpoles. T4D-PLS, Edison has a flavor for wordplay; something I lack a great deal of. They can be programmed for many different tasks and are quite handy for the day to day tasks around the shop. We fixed up his stall and business is better than ever. He says he's proud of me and something happens in my chest. I don't tell him in case it is a bad thing. I still use the MultiWeld he gave me so many years ago. Sometimes when he sees it he smiles and laughs. I'm not sure why but it's like he's remembering something long past. Everything was great until I came back to the workshop today. I had all the ingredients for Yandor Stew, I hated it but it made him happy so I dealt with it, and he was nowhere to be found. I found his note on the bed. It still draws a lump into my throat to think about it. "It wasn't your fault. I'm sorry I can't tell you this in person but I had to leave quickly. Do not look for me, I do not want you involved in this. Keep digging. You will find your truth. -Edison" Why does life want me to be unhappy? Why do the universe seem so hell bent on taking everything I love? I ask myself these questions some nights as I sit at the workbench. I don't wake up on the bed anymore. Great another happiness gone.

DATALOG ENTRY: GOOUSCH
LOG DATE: --
GoouschâlehrenâabenâDrexillâandar was the runt in a spawn of around 50, of which only 10 were able to come to full gestation partly due to natural causes and partly because of the phage which affected nearly all births on Moeshe. Â He and his four brothers and five sisters grew up in a small city outside of Piscerna called Neptulon. Their parents were moderately successful in their fields; his father a merchant and mother a teacher.
His name was shortened to Goousch shortly before meeting one of his father's associates, a human who had a hard time remembering names there due to the long-winded nature of names on Moeshe. His father, known as Gorrf, was peddling some of his fixer bots to the human and Goousch could not help but be fascinated by all the shiny gizmos dangling from the stranger's belt, breaking down what each one of them did in his mind, coming very close to perfect accuracy in identification of the many strange gadgets.
The man caught the little froglet ogling his stuff and smiled. âHere kid.â He grabbed a small silver cylinder and handed it to the boy, who looked to his father for approval. Gorrf laughed and motioned for Goousch to accept the man's offering. He cradled it in both of his little webbed hands, unsure of it's purpose or the man's intention.
The man laughed at Goouschâs trepidation. âIt's a MultiWeld.â He clicked a button on the side. It sparked to life with a roar and a cone of blue energy flared, filling the whole room with its cool yet violent hue . The man quickly snatched it and adjusted the dials to reduce its intensity to that of a small firestarter. The man shot Goouschâs father an apologetic look before handing the small tool back to the transfixed little boy. He could not take his eyes off its entrancing glow. He flipped the switch and the device sucked the blue plasma back into its hilt. He smiled and stole it away into his father's workshop. The man tried to object but Gorrf held up a webbed hand to reassure him.
It was 10 minutes before Goousch would return holding the welder behind his back. He bashfully proffered the MultiWeld to the man. It had been polished, the dings had been hammered out, and he could see a few other tweaks here and there. âHey there little man. Looks good as new. Hey, you even added an overflow buffer. Guess it helps if it doesn't vent full force every time i turn it on. Thanks buddy.â The man slapped a hand on Goousch's shoulder and gave him a big thumbs up. Goousch's face went solar in both color and heat. Pride was something not easily missed on the face of  a Salientian. Goousch hopped out of the room, his mind bounding as much as his body was.
Many weeks had passed since the man had left. All the children had gone to bed but Gorrf called Goousch into the kitchen. His father and mother were there and they both had huge grins plastered on their faces. There was a small box left on the table with his name attached on a little tag. His parents patted his head and wished him goodnight. He tore through the packaging and saw sitting on a small layer of Pac-Safe was the MultiWeld, freshly chromed with all of his modifications intact, and a small engraving etched into the side. âFor my little tinkerer. Don't let fear trample ingenuity. Â Â -Eddisonâ
Later that night as his parents surveyed the children's rooms to ensure resting froglets, preparing themselves for start of school placement tomorrow, they heard the unmistakable sound of tinkering going on in Gorrfâs workshop and the continual hum of Goousch's most treasured possession sparking back to life, a sliver of blue light escaping underneath the door. The light of a child's imagination incarnate.

ATMOSPHERE: Breathable Mix
FEATURES:
Teneo is the third planet from its star, and spouts a diverse variety of ecology on its robust landmasses and deep oceans from its temperate climate and amiable biosphere. It carries one moon in itâs orbit - Somna, that is noticeable in size, taking up a large portion of Teneoâs night skies. Conversely, Prognath that was a secondary colonization zone for Teneanâs is a mixture of vast arid deserts and warm primal tropics. Prognath has two moons in its orbit, Luda & Nadar respectively. They are within close proximity to each other and are seen in both the day and night skies easily.
CLIMATE:
From the lush forests, rolling plains, sprawling mountains, and vast oceans, Teneoâs surface houses a multitude of plant and animal life that shares a harmonious life with the sentient species of Teneans. A majority of the landmass sits slightly above and below the equator, gracing the planet with its âparadise-likeâ hospitable zones. However, Prognath with itâs much warmer temperatures, leaves much to be desired when looking to the calm serenity of Teneo. The continent size deserts give little in the way of larger flora & fauna, but still teem with life from a combination of water conserving survival traits, and the massive aquifers beneath the blazing surface. The main colonized points of Prognath are scattered about the extremities of the endless deserts that quickly shift into primordial-like tropics and lush beaches.
ANTHROPOLOGY:
Teneo & Prognath are called home by the Teneans. A bipedal race that holds a position on the Federationâs Council of Seven (the Seven most advanced races of the galaxy that see to the galactic government). They hold a large aptitude and affinity to the harnessing the Primal Elements in what is called magic, and the manipulation of the subtle mental energies of psionics. These abilities are intrinsic to their technology labeled Technomancy (the use of magic and/or psionics for the powering and manipulation of their machinery). Teneans system of local planetary government is a united group of representatives from the local continental nations that governs and regulates both planets as a whole; each national branch being broken down into smaller branches per regional section.
Religion and spirituality of the Teneanâs is largely believed to stem from the paradise-like conditions of the planet. An animistic global religion spans the planets, with varying cultural differences per region. It is a religion in the loosest sense, and more a collection of beliefs and mythology that revolves around the natural mystic aptitudes of the race. The Primal Elements are personified into a multitude of entities and seen as spirits in all living and non-living materials. Each race had their own name for this belief system, but is now colloquially known as the Qual. It is as much a heavily spiritual belief system as it is a part of everyday life.
Most modern knowledge of the Teneanâs starts when the Federation first began its direct involvement with the race. The Federation had kept a watchful eye on the progress of the raceâs leaping advancement to becoming a full space-faring race with their discovery of Technomancy. There were many debates on inviting them to be a part of the Federation when first contact was made, as the Teneanâs technology rivaled many of the other established races. Yet their capricious nature towards each other and own local governments gave worry and doubt among the Federation if they should be added among the Council, or simply added to Federation protection. The primary opponent to the welcoming of the Teneans were the Peacekeepers. They saw the raceâs unpredictability as a negative evolutionary trait that needed more time to sort itself out.
Unbeknownst to the other members of the Federationâs Council of Six (at the time), the Peacekeepers engineered and introduced a nanotechnology to the planets. It assaulted and disabled the Teneanâs inner workings with their Technomancy to set them back far enough on the technological scale to âgive them enough timeâ. This was the intention by the Peacekeepers, but from the lack of detailed study of the Teneanâs Technomancy, did not account for the Technomancy being mystically and psionically tied to their creators. A nanotech plague was released upon Teneo and Prognath that is now known as the Mana-phage that resulted in an estimated 50% decimation of the race before intervention. To the Peacekeepers, this great stain upon their neutrality-keeping race in the galaxy is called the Great Transgression.
Intervention did not come from the Federation, but in the divine means of our great precursors - the Kheldari. While the Federation was locked in heated debates with the Peacekeepers over further meddling in a once prosperous race, the ancient god-beings descended upon Teneo and Prognath and expulsed the Mana-phage from existence. The Kheldari uplifted the Teneanâs to even greater heights of their Technomancy and brought them full on into the Federation; any that sought their demise as a whole again would face the precursorâs unbridled wrath. With such a blatant show of force by the Kheldari, the Teneanâs took the head to the head of the Federation, rather than being a neophyte member. After their place was secured in the galaxy, the Kheldari vanished once more into the great Unknowns of the universe, yet to be heard from again.
Now the Council of Seven of the Federation sits upon a nervous truce with the Tenean race at the forefront of progress and influence in the galaxy, spurred by their divine purpose from their enigmatic saviours.

Dense cactus-like trees, with bramble weed covering most of the âforestâ floor. Despite being terrafomed, the oceans of Faralex VI have been left dry, leaving vast canyons and chasms that serve as barriers between training zones. Faralex VI hosts four moons, which have all been modified with gravometric interference engines in order to block starlight from the systemâs star and create a 56 hour night cycle for one half of the planet.
The star systemâs Stygian Gate is located within 56 solar miles of the planet.
A HUB station has been created above the planetâs gravity well for use in the war efforts in surrounding systems.
CLIMATE:
Originally an Earth-like planet, the oceans are now dry, arid deserts. Upon the land masses reaching up from the ocean floor that were the continental shelves, weather ranges from subtropical to subarctic depending on the manual positioning of the four moons and resulting block of sunlight. During blocking of sunlight, the former ocean floor becomes uninhabitable.
CIVILIZATION/CULTURE:
Formerly inhabited by civilization of intelligent sentients. Populace evacuated to nearby neighbor planets or solar systems upon facing planetary extinction. Due to splintering of the planetâs race, little is known about their people or culture.
TRAITS:
Faralex VI is the seventh planet from itâs star. No other planets in the system have been systematically terraformed in order to preserve the natural balance of the Faralex System. Due to sentient life ruling their own planetary governments preexisting in the system prior to Federation arrival, minimal tampering with the system was advised.
The world was abandoned by itâs civilization upon facing planetary extinction due to a runaway greenhouse gas effect set in motion by industrialization and the civilizationâs progress. By the time the Federation had arrived, no complex life forms remained on the planet. Upon making contact with the civilization, it was determined that their new homes throughout the Faralex System were preferable to relocating back to their planet, despite the offer of terraforming under the condition of the planet becoming a site for Federation military training.
In response to the planetâs people declining the offer, the Federation resolved to terraform the world to become a harsh, planet-wide training ground, shrouded in near permanent night. Through the gravometric interference engines lodged into Faralex VIâs four moons, the Federation is able to control the day and night cycle of the planet for itâs needs. The majority of the planet arid desert due as no effort to restock the worldâs oceans was made. The landmasses rising from the massive chasms that would have been considered at sea level are covered in extremely aggressive flora and fauna, altered by a military mutagen.

Varies between the many differing biomes. Swamps, beaches, placid sea, chaotic ocean.
TRAITS:Â
The planet is almost entirely covered in some form of water. The swells and currents of which can be seen from space, and depending on one's distance from the planet small pinpricks of land or, more likely, vast floating cities may also be seen.
The one thing that can almost always be seen from any observer is the colossal dam that encompasses the entire circumference of the planet, shearing it in twain, and extending to the very floor of the ocean and several hundreds of feet into the air above the waves crashing into it's concre-fiber skin.
The wall separates the civilized portion of the world from the untamed wild ocean of the other half. Even the maelstroms and pounding waves seem to know their place on the side of the wall. The portions on either side of this marvel are known as Grellya or âThe Calmâ and Dreshkar âThe Deepâ.
âThe Deepâ Â is home to countless species of terrible creatures. Massive leviathans that troll the swirl for any creature fool enough to wander into its murky path. Schools of primitive fish that tear the flesh and consume the dead in mere seconds. Silent, bloodthirsty, predators that move through the water like a hot scalpel through butter. The Deep is teeming with countless flora and fauna.
CIVILIZATION/CULTURE:
Piscerna (pie-serna), or as it's more locally known âThe Pondâ, is one of the many cities to be erected upon, and often dipping below, the ocean's surface. It gleams and catches the light from its nearest star, dazzling anyone not prepared to set eyes on it. It is adorned with communication arrays and many odd looking instruments. One curious to ask would get a very excited response about alternative energy sources that would go on for far longer than was polite. The cities are full of many different species of life, all with tasks at hand and determination and fastidiousness in their eyes.
Almost all of the constructed cities share a similar design aesthetic but will vary based on the specialization they focus on.
CULTURE, CONTD:Â
Piscerna and all cities like it on Moeshe are governed by a technocracy. The smartest minds are given the highest level of respect and their opinions weigh heavily on decisions made regarding all matters on the planet.
The entire society runs off a semi class system. At a very young age all citizens must choose one, or more, of the roles their race is proficient in and study it in their âSchoolâ. It is extremely uncommon to see a worker branch outside of their race's speciality and usually is a result of mutation or creatively dealing with their shortcomings.
The Salientia resemble frogs and typically deal with either machinery or computers.
Bufonidae or toads enlist in the military or test new weaponry.
Octopoda are among the elite in society and tend to be diplomats or leaders, whereas the Teuthidians specialize only in planning and making war.
The Testudines are a turtle like race and focus mostly on R&D, which given the nature of the culture gives them a great deal of say in most goings on.
There are many other species with different jobs and specialties that determine their place on Moeshe and in their life as a whole as it is nearly impossible to change one's role after settling into it.
It is well known that many of the mine-able resources on the planet reside in The Deep and much of the galaxy has learned by now that excursions into even the shallowest portion of The Deep in attempts to gather its precious bounty will be met with utter disaster mostly due to deadly attacks from below. Very few even return alive from these attempts. Thus the people in The Calm have unanimously decided that trade with outsiders is their only hope to maintain their way of life. The people subsist on farmed plants and animals, so trade mostly consists of rare elements from offworld and any other technological wonders or anomalies that one might come across in space but have no idea what they do.
They do not play favorites and will trade with most anyone except those in direct violation of federation laws on genocide and war crimes, but there are cities that seem to shirk this stance more than others.
They have been asking for more and more aid from the federation as of late. Ask and you are likely to get a frog's airsacs filled and get an earful about keeping one's scent receptors out of other's stink sac.
CULTURE: MOESHAN INTERACTIONS:
The Moeshan people are very proud to provide as much as they do to the rest of the galaxy and are more than glad to hear something they built or designed was used for the greater good of Moeshan kind or otherwise.
They are all mostly resistant to any and all attempts to bridge The Calm and The Deep and prefer to keep their isolation mutual.
Give them tasks, make them feel useful, praise a job well done. Do so only in earnest though, to patronize will offend and or anger the Moeshan.
Most importantly never underestimate one. The most unassuming of them may not make you quake in fear in a head on fight but that is most likely because you cannot see the delicate trap they have already ensnared you in while you were busy laughing at his stature.

Natives of Yatanpi IV, who call it Pachâi-Antama, have their own names for the moons. Yatanpi IVa is in very close proximity to itâs parent planet, and one could easily see the surface topography with a telescope lens.
CLIMATE:
 Because Yatanpi IV is tidal locked, one side is constantly facing direct radiation from the Red Dwarf an arid, desert wasteland that is constantly bombarded with solar flares due to itâs proximity to itâs star. Despite being the fourth planet from the sun, this happens due to how close the inner planets are. Yatanpi IV is lucky enough to be on a nearly - but not quite- 90 degree axis, almost perfectly spinning like a top. Because of the slight tilt, a very thin halo-like penumbra rings the planet, where the surface is in a permanent twilight. This is the most habitable zone of the planet, consisting of tundra all the way across the ring, where traveling east or west quickly brings one quickly to the sun-scoured wastelands of the bright side of Yatanpi IV, or dim, moon-lit arctic wastes of the dark side. Water has either been scoured dry or completely frozen everywhere except for the penumbra, making life beyond the thin halo to be impossible. The Penumbra is approximately 100mi across, ringing the planet, with the climate change towards either side of the planet ramping up beginning around 20 miles from the Penumbra heading towards either side.
ETYMOLOGY:
Native names for the four moons, from the closest to the farthest are: Kuyado, Tapeni, Sikhaâii, and Gaishado.
Planetary natives call the bright side of Yatanpi IV âUsraashaâ, the penumbra âNaakiliâ and the dark side of the planet âKâohigaiiâ.
A traitor or suspicious person may be referred to as a âMaiâshytaâ, a friend or ally as âTaashikâoâ, and an enemy as âAyasâiish!â A learner or student âNahashâatiâ, a teacher or mentor âAhzeâdiyaaâ.
âThank youâ may be expressed as âAhĂŠâdawaaâ, regret or admittance of wrongdoing as âZaha choâwaâ, and confirmation or agreement as âIirskaa!â An insult akin to calling someone a pig would be âJitsoodiâ.
ANTHROPOLOGY:
Because of the climate and lack of habitable conditions, Yatanpi IV is a mostly primitive and considered to be still developing, regardless of itâs limited potential. While different humanoid cultures and some beasts exist in the penumbra, the government was for most of itâs history entirely feudalism. Positions similar to those of Kings and Lords trading and exchanging land for military services existed, along with Vassals and Serfs in the service of the Lords whomâs land they lived upon. Due to scarcity of resources and the opposing population growth over the millennia, greed has led many Kings and Lords to utter end as intrigue and resource denial leave little room for power players. Nine kingdoms (or âterritoriesâ) remain along the entirety of the penumbra ring.
Worship and spirituality on this planet revolve around the Kings and Lords who hold control of the resources needed to survive, and the four moons orbiting the Yatanpi IV. Named effectively as Mother, Father, Son and Daughter, they are worshipped and thought to influence events. Secretive and unknown rituals began frequently on the border to the light side of the planet, and later the dark sideâs border, as well - trials of sorts - but are not spoken of. It is said that long ago a star fell to the darkest part of the âKâohigaiiâ, and that many of the ritualistic trials began after that, but little more is known other than the chosen enter into the Kâohigaii and sometimes make it back alive, despite the extreme cold.
Most known history involves the closest moon, âKuyadoâ. Over several millennia it was said that strange stars appeared to disappear into Kuyado, that it âdevoured itâs weak childrenâ. Because of this itâs passing over certain parts of the penumbra were feared and some cultures within the shadow that it passed would make sacrifices to it. Eventually, stories were told of dots like blue fire spreading across itâs surface. To developed civilizations, these would be known to be the lights of advanced civilization at night when observed from the orbit of a populated planet. Eventually these lights would come to cover the planet in mystifying shapes and sizes. The people residing on Yatanpi IV debated for many ages whether it be an ill omen or a sign of divinity.
Eventually a strange object landed on Yatanpi IV and first contact was made with the Federation. Despite the untrust, an uneasy hospitality was granted by the one Lord who was present to make contact with the Federation: Lord Kuukanâa. His ambitions were stronger than his fears. Trade was initiated and due to the limited resources, the civilization of Yatanpi IV began but never developed more than a crude level of advanced technology blending their dark and heavy metals with the glowing energy of the advanced, galactic Federation. The people of Yatanpi IV learned that the Federation located and targeted the moon for colonisation due to a large amount of resources necessary to continue their quest to colonize and expand their peopleâs future and scientific endeavours.
Once the citizens of Yatanpi IV had access to the advanced technology, they began to grow out from the penumbra in both directions - though never too far - using that technology to shield them from the extreme environments. Lord Kuukanâa, who initially met with the Federation, planted the seeds of destruction, however. Through political intrigue he set the other Lords and Kings against the Federation workers, leading to the Yatanpi IVâs natives attacking Federation forces and provoking the Federationâs ire. Through being the only leader on the planet visibly willing to cooperate and thus not seen as a âsavageâ, Lord Kuukanâa gained favoritism with the Federation and gained ultimate power over decisions regarding the ringâs populace and was later named Imperator. Emboldened and empowered, Imperator Kuukanâa swiftly struck down the other Kings and Lords across the ring with the backing of the Federation (due to the other territoryâs continued hostility towards them), further cementing his rule of Yatanpi IV and approval of the Federation. In exchange for supporting commencement of resource harvesting from Yatanpi IV. Imperator Kuukanâa gained monitored access to further technological advancement and power.
The Federation refuses to interfere directly in matters regarding civilizations that do not threaten their own operations or desires. Because of this, Imperator Kuukanâa remains unchallenged, and continues to live an unnaturally long life due to augmentation and alchemical science. Now over 1,000 years old, he continues to rule the penumbra ring in an entirely artificial body. The capitol of the planet that is host to his citadel hosts the most advanced, space-age technology, but an extremely very few are allowed space travel or access to these resources. The rest of Yatanpi IV now exists in an odd gray area between technologically advanced, but still a developing world teetering on the brink of habitable and forever depending on survivalism. Outposts created using the Federationâs advanced technology now appear in the Usraasha more and more, protected by advanced equipment. These outposts harvest energy as well as minerals for the Federation, and natives of Yatanpi IV can be found working there, usually conscripted from their homes by the Imperial forces of Imperator Kuukanâa.
