Catching herself rambling, she worried her lower and flushed both at this self-perceived faux pas and the recollection of some of lower ranked staff's shocked looks when her core surgical and healing team revealed she took unorthodox measures in the operating theatre that involved direct injections of adrenaline or other mild poisons into organs to jumpstart them while massaging them, instructing others to channel Kaido at the required intensity and suturing cuts from the outside herself. Both he and Nemu entered the room where newly caught test-subjects were brought. It was designed to host living prisoners of all types. Not all of Mayuri's test subject were humanoid after all. Seemed this one WAS. Oh, and it was a lively one. She ( yes, it was female ), was struggling against her captors.

❝ Kurotsuchi-Taichou! ❞ The field-worker was out of breath from the struggle, but still took the time to bow his head.

❝ Yes, yes, you may leave. I will take it from here. Oh, you haven't drugged her? Very nice. ❞ It was best if his subjects started out without any drugs in their systems. ❝ Hand your report to Nemu. ❞ His orders were promptly followed. Mayuri stepped closer to the test subject, who was now restrained to the point of not being able to move even an inch. She was still struggling, and screaming into the gag, which muffled her voice. Hm. He quite liked the sound of his test subjects screaming. At least if they were women. Somehow, women always sounded more desperate. ❝ Struggling is futile, but rest assured, as my test subject, I will treat you most kindly. ❞

She was furious. Beyond so in fact, since they'd not only kidnapped her but gagged her. Being tied up was something she could handle, but to be silenced was another matter entirely. It left her too trapped, unable to mutter against the voices in her head which were particularly strong at the moment thanks to the nightmares that had once more risen. Nightmares that were the very reason she'd been caught. She had a terrible habit of sleepwalking when trapped in a nightmare.

Which meant she didn't even have her shoes!

Grunting slightly as she was tossed to the ground she wiggled around, glaring up at the black and white-clad assholes who had kidnapped her. Eyes clearly stating that she wished to stab them before her gaze slowly slid past the manhandlers to another.

Attention immediately locking on the painted face and then snapping to his golden gaze. Mesmerized for a moment at the spark she saw within. Intelligence, the kind the made others bow before them, mixed with a special brand of madness perhaps? It had her frozen in place as she watched him, fascination growing within her.

Almost to the point that she'd forgive the gag in her mouth had it not been blocking the Cheshire grin that was trying to pull across her lips. That and the fact that the shadows behind the man where moving, a clear indication that her nightmares where very much away. So naturally, she began screaming in muffled furry while trying to break free of the restraints.

〘 tiny!akon 〙 most of the other prisoners seem to avoid going down the corridor that leads to this cell, though he's never figured out why. maybe the paint scares them? it's just pigment. whatever it is, the man isn't scary to him in the slightest. he plops down cross-legged and tilts his head. "why? do you eat poisonous bugs like frogs do?" it seems like a weird adaptation to have. doesn't seem all that helpful, unless the other prisoner's expecting someone to eat him———but that only makes him want the organs all that more.

Even here, in this HELL ( or so people called it ), he was different. To Mayuri, this prison was the same as the outside with regards to how he was treated. It reflected the fact that there truly was nowhere he belonged. He was caught between finding it almost sad - and thinking it fascinating. He was like a substance that could not mix with anything. At least - nothing that he'd discovered so far.

He was a little curious about this boy, who was now sitting down on the opposite side of the prison bars, crossing his legs like he intended to stay for a while. There was no fear in his eyes, only interest. That was how Mayuri's own eyes looked, no matter the danger he was facing. Why be AFRAID when you could be intrigued?
