˖⁺‧₊˚ RyuSae ♡ HC’s ˚₊‧⁺˖
they consume my mind very much so <3 probably a top ship for me i can’t even lie. their dynamic is so interesting to me and there’s SO much potential between the two of them. this is very fluffy<333
> Cooking
Shidou is the type that lacks the ability to cook proper meals. Ask him to chop some onions? You’ll be helping him out within the next 5 minutes. I imagine he abuses the air fryer him and Sae purchased for their either shared or separate spaces when a lazy dinner is what the night calls for, aka Shidou’s specialty. While on the contrary, Saw takes his time into cooking healthy, balanced, and well prepared meals for the two of them. I like to think Sae keeps a recipe book for himself that he looks back at on occasion. He is by no means a professional chef but he still manages to impress the other with his skillful fast knife cutting ability.
> Affection (public/private)
public: Shidou is absolutely the type to be touchy and very affectionate, doesn’t matter if it’s in public or in the comfort of his and Sae’s privacy. Shidou will make flirty remarks towards Sae during matches and will bring up their relationship in interviews. Sae is a little more private, while he won’t deny his relationship with Shidou, he won’t be the first the bring it up as a topic of conversation. If someone asks about him and Shidou then he is willing to answer, unless it’s a personal question.
I also enjoy the thought of Sae enjoying longing stares across rooms, eyes meeting and small smiles returned, a mutual understanding and connection between two people that no one else could possibly understand.
private: Shidou continues to be the more touchy and affectionate of the two, even in private. Sae enjoys it a lot, even letting himself crack a smile from all the attention he gets from Shidou. Sae isn’t without his touchiness though, on an almost rare occasion Shidou will find himself caught by surprise at the feeling of a pair of hands suddenly taking space on his ass, he very much enjoys it. (In the blue lock bible it says Sae likes butts) Whenever Sae pulls this moves Shidou just smirks and looks at him and says some flirty remark while Sae keeps his straight stoic face and continues to feel up Shidou from behind.
> Dates and Couple Activities
I like to think of Sae as a movie guy, the ideal date for Sae is simple, movie and maybe a few cuddles in the comfort of his own couch. Shidou enjoys these nights, he’s loud and obnoxious most of the time but he has his moments of being calmed down and relaxed, much to Sae’s appreciation. I enjoy the thought of Sae falling asleep on Shidou, showing such a weakness to him while upholding this strong and independent reputation to everyone outside of their relationship, it makes Shidou smile. Shidou on the other hand, surprisingly romantic, a nice dinner with Sae sounds like a great time for him. Shidou is the type to do that cheesy thing in movies and throwing roses all over the floor leading towards the bedroom/bathroom and waiting by the door for Saw to come home with a rose in his mouth and the sluttiest smile imaginable. Sae doesn’t usually partake and these “childish” attempts at flirting but after a kiss or two, he doesn’t mind being led somewhere else in the house by Shidou.
Sae, i can also see as a secret romantic, the image of him moving furniture around to make room for him and Shidou to dance around to cheesy love songs makes me CRASH OUT!!!!! Shidou will be making teasing and flirtatious jabs at the shorter, but he appreciates the time he gets with Sae so it’s never personal.
> A relationship isn’t without its issues…
I read a fic (link after this) where Sae had to deal with some internalized homophobia from trying to uphold his image and reputation, scared to go public with Shidou. But the media eventually started theorizing about their relationship and they were forced to come clean about it. Sae realized that it wasn’t as bad as he thought it would be, Shidou was happy that he was able to let loose a little more in public instead of restricting himself from showing any small amount of affection towards Sae while not in private.
HERES THE FIC ITS REALLY GOOD!!
> Fights/Arguments
Sae is very neat and clean, he likes to keep the house tidy and always puts away dirty laundry and deals with chores as soon as possible, Shidou on the other hand is very messy and kinda lazy when it came to anything other than soccer. He would leave dirty laundry on the floor, the hamper full, and the sink overflowing, when Sae sees these sights he’s not mad but disappointed. He will call Shidou to come see him. Shidou will run in with a smile on his face which doesn’t last long and turns into his signature smirk when his eyes catch sight of an annoyed Sae pointing towards the mess made. Shidou will try to make flirty remarks to get out of having to do it, much to his despair.
However they are not immune to fighting, it happens in relationships. If Sae is already in a bad mood and this behavior with Shidou is consistent he is not against raising his voice and catching Shidou by surprise. Shidou makes the extra effort to fight back and raise his voice back, but ultimately with one ominous glare from Sae he reluctantly fixes the issue, complaining and groaning as he does just to be petty. Sae doesn’t mind as long as he gets to sit down and relax. Once Shidou is done he finally approaches the other and gives him peppered kisses and apologizes softly. (SECRETLY SOFT SHIDOU HAS MY HEART<333)
> Dynamic Tropes
Slight enemies to lovers: i like to think they had a sort of rivalry at some point, placing bets against each other during games and competing during training, but it’s still with loving hearts present. They don’t take losing to each other all that personally.
Flirty and Flustered: I wouldn’t see a version of Sae having a lot of experience with relationships so when he gets with Shidou, all the flirtatious remarks, all the longing stares, the soft touches, the heart to heart conversations, they get to him, catch him by surprise and tickle his heart strings. The sight of Sae all flustered and embarrassed is a sight only one other person has the privilege of seeing.
Serious and Silly (obviously): Sae is very serious, he takes issues and problems very seriously and tries to resolve them peacefully, while Shidou is the same, he takes a different approach. Shidou will poke fun and tease Sae, but will eventually get to the point and talk things out. Shidou will get himself into trouble and Sae will get him out of trouble, it’s a back and forth battle.
> Jealousy
Neither of them really have an issue when it comes to jealousy, they are both very confident in themselves and their abilities that they don’t think anyone could possibly be a better option for each other. But if someone is consistently flirty with Sae, even if he’s not reacting, Shidou will send death glares and in some cases make actual violent threats to intimidate the person to fuck off. Sae is thankful for his guard dog, he doesn’t like unwanted and unwarranted flirting from strangers, it’s just one of those unfortunate things that come with fame and fortune.

they’re so in love oh my goodness
I just wanted to make this post to highlight a particular aspect of their relationship that I think can get overlooked, but when you read/watch their interactions, is glaringly obvious - Sae's softness towards Shidou.
When RyuSae met for the first time, the tension between them generated by the potential they saw in each other is palpable through the page!! Sae saw a demon he can work his magic on and Shidou saw an explosive path to freedom. A chance for both to finally be able to play the exciting soccer they've dreamed of. Their relationship initially began purely to satiate their own curiosity and egos (and boy, did they!!).
However, as they play together, we witness this adorable tenderness develop and manifest between them. This is surprising at first glance but, in hindsight, expected. I suppose you would grow to be soft-hearted with the person who's finally allowing you to play the soccer of your dreams. For two people who live and breathe soccer, this must mean everything.
And maybe this is why Sae really has a soft spot for Shidou and he shows it in his own little ways...like letting him do whatever and talk about whatever while he just observes and listens :')

Sae's just not harsh with Shidou (the closest we get is that incident where he threw him off his back LMAO but tbh with all the 'throbbing' Shidou was doing, it was warranted - but hey, Sae still sticks close to him immediately after, continues flirting with him throughout the match and even gives his number later soooo :D).
Amongst all the things Sae calls him, he never strays into actively mean territory. The most he does is call him demon and adds an appropriate descriptor (e.g., horny demon). But 'demon' is a pretty great descriptor for the life force that is Shidou Ryusei LMAO and what Shidou happily calls himself, so if anything, the way he uses it comes off as affectionate tbh c:
This is Itoshi Sae we're talking about, the guy who walked into a room, took one look at the chairman of the JFU and manager of the U20 team, and said this before calling their prized team shit:
The same guy who stood there in front of the entire U20 team and told them they sucked, specifically going in on poor Sendou and didn't let up about it during his convo with Oliver either LMAO

(since this post is very long already, i have some extra thoughts on the above panel that u can refer to here)
His poor manager after Sae said he'd rather die than play with Japanese forwards and spent the entire interview ruthlessly ripping into them LMAO
So this is the kind of guy we're dealing with here...
Yet when it comes to Shidou, he's suprisingly patient and gentle with him. Like when he's guiding his inspiration to lead him in the direction of the most explosive play possible:

Sae's just so okay with playing along with all of Shidou's antics; from helping facilitate his wild soccer visions and philosophy to indulging in back-and-forth flirtatious and sexual banter. The little shots we got throughout the match of Sae just standing closely next to Shidou between plays, seemingly chit-chatting away. This occurs even when he just judo-flipped him off his back and onto the ground, called him gross, yet we see him still sticking around right after, just conversing with him while he's on the ground.
This whole thing really struck me while rewatching the finale; Sae's beautifully cruel and calculated plays against the Blue Lock team combined with his merciless dismissal of Rin's awakening and immense efforts to be acknowledged by him, contrasted so starkly with that little conversation he had with Shidou afterwards, post-match. Where we see him taking the time to actually explain himself and his decisions to not pass to Shidou in that final minute, reassuring him that he fully intended to and deemed it the optimal play he envisioned, but unfortunately it just didn't work out.

Despite Shidou responding to this with a playful jab about how it was Sae's fault for 'getting foiled by your little brother', then coming to the very Shidou-like conclusion of that final goal belonging to him, therefore he's earned the right to his number - Sae still continues to play along. In fact, he flirts back ten-fold by saying "Hmph. At least let me shower first," earning a cute giggle from shidou.
He's doing all this after losing a match, btw!! Ofc Sae's not super torn up about the outcomes of this match because it never affected his career in the first place. However, he is an egoist after all, so he doesn't play matches to lose and has absolute confidence in his own abilities and judgement, so I doubt he would been in the mood to justify his plays to anyone else. We've literally seen this guy pack his bags, getting ready to abandon the U20 team 45 mins ago, and we've been shown several times since he appeared for this arc, and even in his first appearance in chapter 4, how he doesn't spare his time or energy for anyone and everyone has to run on Itoshi Sae's time.
He'll even get up and walk out mid-interview without warning. The interviewers have to be on his time too lol
It's all rooted in the fact that Sae genuinely respects Shidou, as a player and therefore as a person*. From his very first appearance in the manga and in every appearance since, we're reminded that Itoshi Sae rarely respects anyone, and he makes that painfully clear. So this is why Shidou can have his passes, jump on his back and envelope him in a sweaty full-body hug, demand answers and justifications from him after a loss, and can have access to initiate further contact with him beyond this match.
*since we know from his characterisation and also further backed up by the egoist bible, sae only knows football and is pretty clueless about anything outside of it. It's all his life revolves around so everything (including relationships w others and the corresponding feelings) has to stem from, be relative to and occur through the medium of soccer.
The foundation of their relationship is honesty. There are no pretenses between them, they've been transparent from the very first meeting (not that it would've gone any other way since these two are not the type of characters that can or will hide their true feelings for the life of them LMAO). They entered this partnership to satisfy their egos. When you're so honest with someone, whether you intend to or not, you will begin to trust them. Knowingly or unknowingly, you become comfortable with their company. Where there's honesty and mutual understanding, there's comfort and consideration which eventually manifests as affection.
Sae feels comfortable with Shidou, hence why he's constantly glued to his side. Sae has so much consideration for Shidou, hence why he stepped in when he was about to foul Niko, reminding him not to get red-carded, and offered him gentle but firm guidance and reassurance during that following free kick, encouraging Shidou to pursue the explosive path he's always wanted but couldn't yet tread. Now, when it comes to the affection part, I think Sae's style is more so the other party expresses their affection and he...allows it to happen. LMAO (bc as we've seen, there are infinite times where he doesn't allow it to happen)
So like allowing Shidou to jump on his back and hug him, actively listening to Shidou to give a starry-eyed declaration (of love) about how Sae's the first person to truly understand his freedom, never refuting and instead full-on indulging all of Shidou's shameless flirting and basically everything else I've already said in this post lol
In conclusion: Sae likes this guy. Like, really likes him. In fact, we know he liked him even before he knew him. He couldn't stand Japanese strikers, and considered none worthy of his passes, until he saw Shidou Ryusei after all :')

Shidou is the one who teaches Sae that it's okay to have boundaries in relationships and helps him feel safe, if you even care. Sae is used to being hit on, touched by fans and interviewers since he was 11. Sae is used to people wanting him and his body and his fame. He can handle that aspect of Shidou.
What really gets him is when Shidou starts asking questions. There's no expectations and yet he asks if this or that is okay, he calls him just to ask how he's doing. Sae gets this throbbing anxiety in his chest whenever he wants something as simple as a hug. Afterall, he's the badass soccer prodigy. He shouldn't crave affection when he has such a fulfilling career. Or at least that's what he believes until his new boyfriend gently slips his hand into his at a cafe. And suddenly he's remembering all the time he spent denying his sexuality, all the times men and women so much more experienced than him told him to just suck up his pain because this was all the love he was going to get. All the times he felt unsafe expressing the slightest bit of affection for another man in public and intentionally distanced himself.
It's like you don't even like me, his past flings would whine. Why do you flinch away, his exes chided. They simply hadn't seen what he had, hadn't heard the locker room talk about what one of his teammates would do if he found out he was on a team with a queer person. Shidou scares Sae sometimes with his loud makeup and dyed hair. But damn, does he feel like home. His hand is warm too, feeding Sae's skin hunger. That comfort doesn't stop him from slipping out of his grasp and shoving his hand in his pocket though, glancing around to see who saw them.
Shidou just smiles and leans back. Sae doesn't have to apologize or say anything. He doesn't know what Sae's been through yet, but he can feel the anxiety coming off of him in waves. He doesn't know this yet, but he's the first person who's been gentle with Sae. Who understands that jumping hugs and private comments look much different off the field. No, he doesn't take offense when Sae flinches at pda, and that just makes Sae want him more.

I love them.
I really love the constant reminders of how Shidou way of playing football is so unorthodox and unconventional compared to how normal players play that no one is able to keep up with his though process and decision making. He is even more outside of the norm than what Ego tried to make Blue Lock players into. This is also why the blue lock couldn't be a place that make him evolve and get better. Because no one there could understand the way he played. Everyone he played with in Blue Lock tried to CHANGE his play style (change him) to better fit their own game instead of trying to make use of what he was good at to their own advantage. There was nobody there who could make him challenge himself in a way that was specific to his play style and make him surpass his own limits.
And then in comes Sae. Sae who SEES him. Who says "is this the best you can do?". Who challenges him but at the same time, doesn't ask him to change who he is. Doesn't ask him to fit the mold, to become more convectional, to limit himself to what others think is possible and how the game should look like. He looks at him and says "go wild, don't stop, I will help you bring your vision to reality". And as Shidou says in this episode, its like someone finally understood what freedom meant for him, FINALLY understood SHIDOU himself.

And the rest is history. Shidou literally has fallen so HARD for Sae SO QUICKLY after he understood that Sae gets him, its not even funny. He knew this man for 2 weeks and already wants to move in with him. Fastest love story ever XD

Hyunluka and love is so attached to pain . Luka never knew how to be healthy and never knew how to love but he loved Hyuna with everything he had , and caused Hyuna so much pain in the process. And for Hyuna loving Luka by itself was painful, she couldn't stop loving the person that hurt her so much that caused her brothers death. She couldn't forgive herself for loving Luka bc she felt like it betrayed her love for Hyunwoo. She resented him she never forgave him despite loving him. Hyuna passed the love to Luka, love for forgiveness but to "curse" him , the same way was "cursed" for all those years they have been apart, because for all her love she knows he could be more. They could be more. That's why she fights that's why she sings .
