Due to the hard top and the long-distance fuel tank containing 95 liters, hood and front fender, door panel and boot lid are made of aluminum. Also the aerodynamic nose that was originally attached had a great effect at the maximum speed, and the official value remains at 139mph (223.6km/h) measured at the Mulsanne straight of Le Mans in 1965.
