finished 3.5! won't say anything other than it was really good ! did not expect to go in loving cerydra and hysilens so much but i sure did. really excited for whatever is next and no worries about spoilers from me from those that care about them , i have my thoughts but i'm just gonna wait and see until 3.6 ! c : draft chipping away has resumed.

small psa that i will be away once 3.5 starts to avoid spoilers and come back when i finish it ! given the nature of me stumbling onto recommended stuff by tumblr no matter the filter, and while i think everyone filters their tags pretty good, i don't want to spoil myself with whatever is happening . so i won't be doing replies or asks really until i finish it. i tend to blaze through the story though, mostly because i don't want the spoilers because they come out really fast ! and amphoreus' story is the one in hs.r that i just don't want to know much if anything about before going into it each patch .

if you're playing / have verses / etc on hs.r, please if it's okay, filter your tags in some way because my basic tags are by each patch and the usual. so my filtered tags are :

just gonna think about how phainon resonated the most with stories of the human spirit and human condition like belobog and penacony because he loves people and yes he has so much hatred but just as much if not more, love. how they were faced with varied amounts of hope and despair and just how long was he waiting for that one percent miracle he fought so hard with cyrene to achieve through loss, grief and sacrifice both of themselves, their friends, and the world constantly resetting to stall irontomb's full revival even if meant one dying constantly and the other burning himself a slow funeral pyre? until only one cycle was left to stall irontomb remained? how much comfort did the present cycle phainon, fully fused with his memories of the entire eternal recurrence, of every him that was killed or killed the other killed in return, feel hearing about the trailblazer and dan heng telling these stories that weren't for nothing?

that being stubborn and defying suffering and fate and tragedy on these planets brought about deliverance? how much did he want to hear that ? especially with every version of himself, endless years worth of memories and countless upon countless cycles, endless suffering and only the wishes of his friends, all he loved and his rage at the injustice that amphoreus still wasn't saved that it just. gave him a minute, after who knows how many years outside his planet, (billions?) millions of cycles of unfathomable suffering . . and just a minute to breathe.

even in 3.3. when he mentions hearing those stories throughout the patches surely in their free time, how much did he subconsciously feel a trickle of a peace he didn't understand why because even without his memories then, his soul, fractured, still remembers? how much peace did he have when he realized it was okay to finally drop from the sky and let himself and the sun finally set because he knew, out there, someone, some people, were going to pick up what he started with cyrene, and continue what they began, that never was, and never will be in vain?

might not get to my drafts in time for 3.5 ( i'll post a psa on how i vanish off the planet until i finish it since i don't think even filters will save me tbh ! ) in the meantime i'll probably work on my verses since they come in flavors for phainon, especially modern, like his relic antique shop / museum worker / farming sim / farmer boy centric modern ideas / and also i really want to explore phainon retaining canon things too in modern verses. like a reincarnation that can fit into any setting / world really , so modern / reincarnation verse will be a thing as well.

maybe even have a few of his abilities, not so very good dreams, and a sense of deja vu for certain things or feelings . i'm not inflicting billions of years and 33, 550, 336 cycles of torment but just a connection to his life and experiences and how a modern, far less burdened version would be.

also other verses i'd want to flesh out are fantasy, baldur's gate 3 ( i've been playing it and i love it and know so little about dnd tbh so i feel he'd be complicated ) , maybe a hades au ? i still need to finish the first game , fin.al fantasy , perso.na, some anime / manga i feel he'd fit into, wu.wa , fire emblem, tal.es of generalized verse, and of course, i really want phainon joins the astral express for however long kinda verse ! given the narrative direction of h.sr i'm curious how that'll go since...it's not looking good for him but ! i'll still have that verse in place regardless of how amphoreus ends .

if anyone thinks of anything else, i'm all ears, i love comments or ideas and i will add it to the list more likely than not.

thanks again for being patient with me ! i hope once i'm done with my drafts that i can work on more short things like one - liners and maybe tentatively a starter call for that ? we'll see. i think the wait is killing me so i want to at least get one thing done !

just thinking about the golden blood and phai.non's in particular, the nature of his role in 'destruction', his temperature and how that could affect a person or a 'real human' (he's data that gained a human soul). personally, i think as he is it's not really a question given his unit's attacks... he's not here to make jokes or laugh with the player character anymore - he's beyond dangerous once he became 'whole' with all the coreflames and cycles he remembered, his past selves all made into one person.

given he's a chrysos heir, which really, is one of lygus' many formulas with a fancy title for destruction with neikos496 / khas.lana / pha.inon , it's golden blood which is weird in itself, another sign of wrongness - and with it the most potent and raw power of destruction seen in ages of the cosmos if his ability to do the unthinkable and graze an aeon is anything. and he shouldn't be able to even touch reality if he's just data.

we know that no one in h.sr lore has even touched an aeon and phai.non, nothing but 'strings of numbers' with a human conscience and heart, was able to make the plagues author / nanoo.k bleed ? not mention decimate a few planets and break reality for an instant ? that his presence alone is far heavier after 33 million cycles and probably billions in real time of existence is a big deal.

second, i think given his light cone information and the story that it's probably searing hot and only grows to sun levels of heat by the time he absorbed billions of coreflames at the end. in the first cycle, where he kills cy.rene and sheds tears of grief, his tears turn to steam on her pendant as he starts the eternal recurrence for the first time. this is before phai.non has taken in any coreflames. so he's already at a hot temperature. " his tears turned to steam " , is a quote from his lightcone story, and the fact that he's willingly burning himself from the inside out over and over to give his planet a single miracle only increases that heat to inhuman levels by the time khas.lana / present khas.lana/phainon meet and merge together with all his memories intact of each cycle.

basically, i think as phai.non is now, it would be like touching the sun at its highest temperature. we've seen him be like the side that is rays of sunlight, gentle, kind and warm, and now we're seeing him be the ' blazing sun ' he describes himself to be in 3.3., something like a supernova or solar flare, something impossibly hot that burns and destroys on impact, just like destruction. so i think the present phai.non's temperature, even a shed of blood or a tear, would just evaporate into pure steam because to touch him is like willingly placing your hand not just in a fire, but pure heat in its rawest form.

of course this isn't outright stated but given in his animated scene he...basically turns into flames, that his body temperature is literally eating itself alive from the billions of coreflames fueling it to keep moving, keep fighting, keep defying the cruel programming / situation of amphoreus that forces him to kill his friends, preserve a lull to buy time, to repeat it over and over at the cost of his life, his body, his mental state, his everything, and in a way, that also ties in to willing to do anything for those he loves despite how awful a 'only resort' he's been given alongside cy.rene. he's both sides of the sun.

so yeah i think as he is now, or wherever he is, we know he's 99 percent fused with iront.omb but one percent 'has stopped' so the progress has been halted for now by phai.non and possible tb as ad.min? that even touching phai.non in those phases after or during the end of 3.4 / the eternal recurrence would be akin to wanting to die by fire or the rawest form of heat. i just think it wouldn't be pretty and it's a lot like the sun he's described to be. phai.non at his core is an incredibly loving, unselfish person who is forced to make impossible, unfathomable, horrifying choices without options for those he loves / that still result in hurting them in order for them to have a chance of not ever experiencing the recurrence again and actually having a future.

he's nurturing to those he cares about, he's steadfast, he's loyal and he's encouraging and a good leader when he believes in himself for five minutes. but the flipside is the same, his wrath is described as 'having no equal' akin to his hatred, a blazing heat of fury at the injustice and horror of his planet's fate and real situation, the fact it's a testing ground and his loved ones are guinea pigs doomed to be titans again and again and suffer corruption if their coreflames aren't taken - used as pawns to break 'neikos496' and accelerate iron.tomb.

so yeah he's a juxtapostion of love and hatred intermingled, with his core being at the heart, love, like that interview with nasu and shaoji's quote i've posted, but also the fiery judgment of a burning sun, if not something now, as we remember him from canon and in the trailer, as outright seething with heat. it's just an interesting thing how someone can be full of so much love and kindness and also have so much fury and at this point to many people, justified hatred and rage at the horrifying circumstances of his creation and his friends and loved ones / people.

it'll be very interesting if phai.non does return and is capable of being sa.ved or salvaged, what 'destruction' will look like for him. will he 'fight destruction with destruction' as an emanator / lord ra.vager that defies his creator and 'colleagues' or will we meet a new phai.non altogether in the new cycle or upcoming plot and will he be as innately self - destructive as he always has been ?

either way, it is really interesting to think about for me !
