2 Kilometres Long Crack Opened up in Mexico Desert Making Experts Wonder
2 Kilometres Long Crack Opened up in Mexico Desert Making Experts Wonder
Up to 3 meters deep and 2 kilometres long fissure was discovered on September 15, 2020, by local residents of Jimenez, Mexico.
Back in August 2014, a half-mile long and up to 8 meters long deep crack appeared across Sonora State, Northern Mexico.
Geologists at the nearby University of Sonora were blaming underground streams.
According to Prof Mike Nelson, a crack of that magnitude indicates that something is moving under Earth on a very large scale.

Rear M4.4 Quake Hit Reunion
Tumblr media
The Reunion, a small island in the Indian Ocean, was hit by the M4.4 earthquake on 9/21. It was one of the largest quakes on the island since 1979.
The earthquake was caused by the opening of a fault 13.6 miles away from the island.
Just before the earthquake, a dull noise was recorded. Neither injuries nor damage was reported as of yet. There were only 14 earthquakes on the island greater in magnitude since 1665.

Devastating Natural Disasters of Summer 2020
2020 has been a historical year in terms of devastating natural disasters. This summer we have seen more heat, more fires, more storms, and hurricanes.
August has met the West Coast with a heat unseen in centuries. Four out of the five largest fires in California history have happened in August 2020. Three of them burn simultaneously around the San Francisco Bay Area. Hundreds of fires were started by lightning. Over two weeks, 900+ blazes burned an all-time record of 3.5 million acres so far which is over six times as much land as all the state’s wildfires in 2019 combined, forcing over 100,000 to flee. Smoke from the wildfire settles close to the ground, harming people’s health.
Many Californians spent those weeks worrying about how long it may last and what might happen next, rehearsing what they would do to escape.
While California was on fire, Hurricane Laura hit the Louisiana coast killing 25 people. It was the 12th storm to form as of that day in 2020, another record.
Phoenix, Arizona experienced 53 days of 110+ degree heat which is 20 more days than the previous record.
Already now, many started doing their own independent research to find out what causes natural disasters to increase, become more intense, they ask themselves such questions as what can I do about it and if I have to relocate, where can I go.
The movement of hundreds of millions of climate refugees across the planet is happening now becoming one of the most pressing issues of the XXI century.
Some people are flexible enough to relocate within days, for some it might be challenging but still doable and for others, it might seem impossible. Uniting on a basis of mutual kindness, respect, helping each other when and where it is needed the most will help us to overcome those difficult times with dignity and save more lives. After all, what can be more valuable than human life.
We cannot stop climate change but we can prepare for it in advance

Climate Change, Impending Global Cataclysms and the Value of Life
“Given the impending global cataclysms, people themselves need to begin to change their attitude towards themselves and society here and now. After all, you do not know who you will be tomorrow – a refugee or a host, and what your chances of survival in the given situation will be. In the modern world of global climate change, you cannot vouch for an inch of land as new manifestations of extreme anomalies of nature occur and represent danger even for relatively stable living areas. In other words, no one is immune to all sorts of growing risks, and any of us can become a climate refugee already tomorrow. In this regard, it is extremely important to globally and quickly change the values of society from the consumer format to the spiritual, moral and creative one, where good, humanity, conscience, mutual help, friendship, and the dominance of spiritual and moral foundations would stand in the first place in relationships among people, regardless of their nationality, religion, social status and other conventional and artificial divisions of the world society. When all people strive to create life that is convenient for all others, then in this life they will preserve themselves and their future...”  📌Anyone can become a reporter of ALLATRA TV and speak for themselves about the climatic changes happening in their area. https://allatra.tv/allatra-climate/en/⠀You can also join the Creative Society project on AllatRa IPM platform by visiting👉https://allatraunites.com/

Climate change affects more and more people every day
According to a report by the UN Refugee Agency, 79.5 million people were forced to flee their homes by the end of 2019. 40% of them were children below the age of 18. Less than 4% were able to return to their original place of living.
Climate is changing rapidly and people need to be 'more accepting' of refugees as displacement is no longer a short-term phenomenon.
“There are already tens of millions of people in the world who have been forced to flee their homes because of natural disasters. The number is growing each year. In the near future, there will be billions of climate refugees! It will become impossible to live on huge desolated territories flooded by the elements and contaminated as a result of industrial disasters. Meanwhile, most people still carelessly place their hopes, the responsibility for their lives, and expectations of help and some action on those who will be the first to run away at the slightest threat. All people should think that if already now, in a relatively peaceful time, the world’s elite is concerned only about ensuring their own well-being and the salvation of their own families, what will happen in the near future – in the time of global cataclysms? It is highly imprudent to assume that the problem of the survival of humanity will not touch you personally, your children, and grandchildren; this is equivalent to condemning yourself, your children, and grandchildren to death…”

An ancient temple was found at the bottom of the Aral Sea
Tumblr media
The remains of an ancient temple were found at the bottom of the Aral Sea in Kazakhstan after it dried up.
Archaeologists who arrived at the site of the discovery found that this structure refers to the XII-XV centuries AD and that, strangely enough, it is a copy of the mausoleum of Yasawi in Turkestan. Not far from the found temple, warriors' graves were found, and ceramics workshops for construction and entertainment were also found.
The remains of people and cattle were found scattered randomly, which suggests that they died in a fairly short period of time, and this death was sudden. And there was absolutely no one to bury them.
It turns out that the Aral Sea is not drying up, and this is not the sea at all, but the consequences of flooding. This is what the old maps say, and here is our previous post on this topic.

In a first, Scientists discovered a “boomerang” earthquake in the Atlantic Ocean
In 2016, a team of researchers led by scientists from the University of Southampton and Imperial College London registered an earthquake of magnitude 7.1 along the Romanche Gap and tracked the rupture along the fault.
Usually, earthquakes occur at or near tectonic plate boundaries when mountain ranges go along the fault line. However, this time the researchers were able to record what is called a “boomerang” earthquake aka “back-propagating rupture” when the rapture comes from the starting point and then passes the seismic sound barrier” coming back at an even higher speed.
In the course of research they find out that initially, the rupture was moving in one direction, but halfway through the earthquake occurs and the rupture moves in the opposite direction overcoming "seismic sound barrier" and turning into a high-speed earthquake.
These kinds of earthquakes very often cause the movement along the complex junction of faults following the domino principle and that is why it’s so hard to trace them. The Romanche Trench stretches for 900 km under the Atlantic Ocean north of the equator. To study it scientists were using underwater seismometers.
Nowadays such earthquakes have been registered only in the World Ocean. However specialists talk about the possibility of transition of such types of earthquakes to the land as well.
There are just a few observations of fractures spreading in the opposite direction. The possibility of reverse propagation is mainly absent in the fractures modeling and is not taken into account in the hazard assessment.
The strength and duration of the rupture along the fault affects the quake on the surface, which can damage buildings and cause a tsunami. Ultimately, understanding of mechanisms of fault breakup and related physics can help scholars create more accurate models and forecast upcoming earthquakes which can be used in early earthquake warning systems.

Floods in China have reached a new critical point. For the first time since the 1940s, flood water has reached the feet 🦶 of the giant Buddha (which is 71 meters high) in Sichuan Province. A traditional local saying states that if the Buddha's feet get wet, a nearby city Leshan will go under water. The water is still coming in 🌊

Saharan desert dust storm
An enormous amount of dust and sand from the Saharan desert (Africa) made a trip across the Atlantic Ocean all the way to the United States, impacted weather, climate, and human health.
It began on June 14th with storm winds in the Sahara Desert, moved up through the Gulf of Mexico and extended into Central America and over the eastern part of the Pacific Ocean. In the US it was observed from Taxes to North Carolina.
It was all the way up to 5,000 miles (8,000 km) long on June 24th and extended vertically from 5,000 to 20,000 feet (1,500 - 6,000 m) into the atmosphere. In the US, it was seen from Taxes to North Carolina before it went back to the Atlantic ocean on Monday, June 29, 2020.
If the Great Bakersfield Dust Storm northwest of Los Angeles, CA in December 1977 was the strongest in North America with the wind speed up to 192 miles per hour then the Saharan Desert Storm was one of the most intense on record.
It is also a very rare one due to the thickness of the dust, low altitude, and how far it was able to reach. It’s so large that it can even be seen from space.
The aerosol particles absorb incoming sunlight and have a negative effect on human health. The air quality was at a record hazard level. People were commenting that it felt very muggy and smoggy that day.
They also create a temperature inversion, preventing, or enhancing cloud formation. Colder air at the surface may get trapped below warmer air, higher in the atmosphere.
Scientists argue whether climate change has any impact on the frequency and severity of Sahara dust and sand storms.
The good thing is that it can stop or slow for some time the formation of hurricanes and tropical storms.
