I love how Yorick's plan to get Arthur and John to come to him was just to ring a little bell. He knew they'd follow it. You put a lure in front of Arthur and he chases it like a cat after a laser pointer. Thank god the bell wasn't attached to some evil anglerfish entity like I was theorizing, and was instead simply a silly guy who knows his master/friends and their dumb choices well. The boys live to die of stupidity another day

When Yorick first brings John and Arthur to the Bone Citadel, that's what he calls it - "The Bone Citadel". When John starts talking about it, he first refers to it as a Cathedral twice before calling it a citadel.

A citadel is the *most* fortified area of a town or city. All Yorick sees is the fortification, the fact that no one has or has been able to enter the structure. It may not have been John's explicit intention to build such a structure, but in building the cathedral of Arthurs, he wanted himself to be the only one to be able to enter it, to the point where the cathedral is now a citadel.

something about no one but John referring to it as a cathedral as well, he sees a cathedral where everyone sees the citadel.

Okay but imagine one day the boys are chilling and Arthur mentions he's been getting some nondescript pain that's bothering him and John knows the exact issue because he's intimately familiar with Arthur skeletal structure. Like:

Arthur: Ah my foot is killing me today

John: Oh yeah that'll be your right medial cuneiform

Arthur:

John (sheepishly): Every alternate Arthur's right foot had a slightly deformed medial cuneiform

Arthur:

John: I- uh- used them as inlays on my throne

My concept idea of John is that he lurks between Arthur's coat or underneath his clothes as a shadow. I'll draw more of this when I can.

The Living Wake

Image Description: There are four versions of the same digital illustration. The second version is identical to the first but Arthur is also wearing a gas mask over his head, hiding most of his face, only his tightly closed eyes can be seen through the tarnished glass lenses of the mask. The third includes large scale gothic blackletter purple lettering over the top of the artwork that read "The Living Wake". The fourth and final is a close up of Arthur and John from the version where you can see his face.

knowing that john killed every version of arthur in the dark world makes the scene of him sewing up his arthur's body in season 3 that much more fucked up

I don’t want to talk badly about the fandom or certain people in it, but I am genuinely sick of how freaky the people in this fandom are. It almost feels like attention seeking at this point, and I’m tired of it. I understand that it’s malevolent and it’s cosmic horror, there are going to be freaks here, and that’s okay, but I don’t think how people are handling it is. I myself have realized things about myself through this show, (which I hate to admit) but I don’t put it on an embarrassing display for people to consume as content. I feel like people being cringey about specific things is only going to put them in a spotlight and isolate them (and the community of people who want to lay low about these things), which is going to make EVERYONE look weirder then they actually are. It almost makes the topics more taboo and hard to talk about, because who wants to be viewed as someone who would talk in an embarrassing tone purposefully or make something their entire personality when they’re trying to, example, be taken seriously by a partner? It generalizes a group of people that into the same thing(s) and makes it harder to accept and talk about. It genuinely infuriates me. I am tired of being made uncomfortable when trying to scroll through a tumblr thread, by someone on TikTok, or even by myself. It’s hard enough to accept yourself as it is, and even harder when you feel like this is your “community,” and feel that this is the only way people will ever perceive you due to others’ actions
