Anime Night Mart @ Area 15 July 19!!!

I've done ANM events in vegas before, but they were usually smaller events in a YMCA gym HAHA and usually those would be good for just a one day event during a sunday afternoon??? But now that they've expanded and did multiple events in Cali, they were able to come back and finally have a show in Vegas and they def advertised A LOT prior to the event. Also it's actually at night from 5pm-3am-- I didn't stay until 3am but man... I was glad it got cooler at night.

I didn't have any expectations really, just thinking I'd make back table and then some-- I WAS HIGHLY UNPREPARED FOR AN OUTDOOR EVENT. They said they'd provide shade, but apparently it wasn't allowed by the venue, so when hun and I got there, we had to tough out the heat for several hours before the sun started to set. I FINISHED SET UP LIKE... AROUND 5:30-6PM BC IT WAS TOO HOT-- I was sweating BALLS DUDE-- my expectations were LOWER bc I'm like "who wants to come out to such a hot ass event (I mean... only the vendor area was outdoors and some performances, but most of it was indoors). BUT UHH YEA THE TURNOUT WAS GREAT??? I had a corner table and it was right in front of the food truck so... people were able to peruse my stuff as they're waiting in line-- which btw... why did they only have ONE food truck-- then again they said that MAJORITY of their tickets were sold the day of the event so they couldn't gauge the actual amount of people.

The winds were strong-- while I did have my prints up for a couple of hours, later on, hun and I decided to take it down bc it was TOO STRONG AND LIKE... THE TAPE WASN'T ENOUGH LOOL If someone wanted to see the LADs prints, I'd have hun hold it up as a pseudo banner while people looked at it HAHA. I always loved these events bc the people are SOOO NICE. I've had reoccuring customers coming back and someone recognized me from my friend's youtube videos LMAOO This one girl ordered stuff from my etsy and she came to visit my booth just to say hi and she even brought the thank you card I wrote on-- and her friend bought stuff which was sweet?? I had so many good convos about LADs and it was a v good time, my voice was GONE by the end of it. Met a girl who loved everyone EXCEPT FOR CALEB-- she was a proud Caleb hater and I'm like ??? Damn I love him! And then met someone who LOOVED Caleb LOL the range people have huh.

This was by far the best one day event I've had by a HUGE MARGIN-- not only that, but my best Saturday ever?? Like I'm gonna be real, this day was better than any of my one days at AX HAHA-- which isn't a surprise bc there's SOOO MANY great artists at AX so monies are split, whereas here it's a WAYY smaller venue and Vegas hasn't had much anime centered events since Anime Las Vegas (which was also good for me too-- but this turned out better bc again... not as much vendors).

Anyway, I wasn't able to eat during the market bc it was so busy, only ate some watermelon and drank water and a can of soda, so by the end of it, hun and I got some fast food and went home, took a shower bc we were sweating ALL DAY, and knocked out. I sold out of several things bc I only brought a V limited stock-- mostly mini prints, my Kpop Demon Hunter sticker sheets, and Caleb phone charm! I only had one Sylus and CSM print. Of course, my Toji is consistently selling well, and I feel like I should have more DRHDR and Fairy Tail... also Nanami HAHA stuff... I was so shocked that my charms sold quite a bit here like... usually my stickers are my best sellers, but no, it's prints and charms.

And then the next day, we went to watch the JJK movie which was just a summarized version of Hidden Inventory and Premature Death arc bc I wanted to see Toji again on big screen. You know, rewatching those scenes I'm like wow... Toji is so smart... I still wish he got his own side story-- and then bc I'm less distracted by the characters, I was actually focusing on the power moves like "OOOO OK THAT MAKES SENSE... i think." I love Toji. I need to draw him more so I can slut him out at cons LFASDLFJASDF Also tell me why hun bought the movie tickets in dub. Dude... THO TBH UHH IT WASN'T THAT BAD LOOL-- The Toji voice was SOO JARRING bc the JPN voice is much lower and kinda nasally, whereas the ENG voice is higher?? But ngl... uhh the eng va has a great voice... feel like he should've done someone else tho HAHAHA

AX 2025 where I tabled in the artist alley!!!

The last time I've been to AX was back in 2022 and while it was fun, I don't remember much of the good things that happened besides um... singing karaoke and making boxes LOOL

This year was different since obviously, I was lucky to be one of the artists that got in through lottery! My experience in this convention was SOO MUCH MORE DIFFERENT compared to other conventions I've tabled at this year bc I've met SO many new artists and people??? It was such a delight-- I didn't really spend money on merch bc I traded w artists. Some of my mutuals do youtube and I'm experiencing second hand embarrassment knowing I'm making a cameo in their vids LMFAO.

Anyway, hun was my helper and we drove with a bunch of stuff (where... tbh we didn't need all that stuff-- I was just being paranoid bc the amount I initially packed was GOOD, esp since I made my goal.) We got a hotel at one of the hilton's I think, and it took us like 4 and a half hours to set up our table LOL... We were already too far into our set up that I didn't realize the blue table cloth was not even aligned... smh. There were around a little over 1000 artists this year??? I only got to go through A-G and a little at the end before I got tired... I wished I was able to get through all of the booths but I was mainly stuck at my booth for majority of the time.

Day 1.

I was dropped off at the convention center while hun went to the airport to pick up Sushi. It was kind of a mess in the beginning bc we had to be show ready by 8am, but there was a fire that broke out in the convention hall bc an ac broke??? So they had to take care of that first. I had to go through different entrances just to get in and it was like.. 8:50am by the time I got to my table and the artist ally hall opens at 9am. Luckily majority of my stuff was set up the day before and I just packaged some mini prints. As expected, it was pretty slow in the morning, but it did pick up later on! Hun came and Sushi arrived wearing her cute BakuDeku shirt and we wore matching Bakugo headbands and we got SOO MANY COMPLIMENTS ON THAT. Like... a ridiculous amount LOL I wanna try finding a Deku one at a reasonable price-- It's not hard but... just paying for the shipping already makes me mad smh. Anyway around 1pm or so, I left the table to hang out with Sushi to wander around and we went to the Toho booth to buy the blind bag kewpie charms... we both wanted Bakugo but she got Iida and I got Dabi. Fortunately, I love Dabi too so I wasn't mad... but Sushi... LOOOL SHE ALWAYS GETS IIDA AND I FEEL SO BAD BUT IT MAKES ME LAUGH... SHE NEEDS TO STOP SAYING STUFF LIKE THAT BC SHE JUST JINX HERSELF... literally manifesting it HAHA. Bc it was surprisingly cold that weekend of AX, we bought MHA sweaters! I bought a Bakugo one and Sushi bought a Deku one which was so cute!!!

We wandered around the Exhibition hall a bit and took random pictures at the different booths bc why not!!! Tbh I would've wandered around longer w Sushi so we can take more photos, but I had to check up on hun bc I feel bad bc he'd tell me that there would be some of my mutuals looking for me or it gets busier LOL People who have bought stuff at ALA came to my booth again and bought things and it was SO SWEET. One of them follows me on tumblr-- I remember their name now since it sounds like mine! LOL and another one is a fellow Toji lover and man... I wanna make more Toji merch... for me... and them HAHAHA

It was actually a good day for a thursday??? It got pretty busy for me today in aa, so that made me happy, we were able to cover majority of the costs this day which was NICE. After that, we all went out to eat at this all you can eat kbbq restaurant and it was pretty good??? The difference between this years AX and the previous ones was that... we actually ate good food LMFAO. Sushi order like... a bottle of soji... was it just a bottle or two... I don't remember, but bc I'm now a weenie to alcohol, I was feeling it and I got emotional and I said "I'm surrounded by my two favorite people." Bitch LMFAOOO We watched the K-Pop Demon Hunters movie when we went back to the hotel. I told hun that I was obviously sleeping in the same bed as Sushi-- THO THE FIRST NIGHT SUSHI PULLED THE BLANKET AND IT FELL OFF THE BED SO I DIDN'T HAVE ANY LOOOL but that's okay since it wasn't freezing.

Day 2.

Omfg... So I had to update my game and it took FOREVER bc the wi-fi in the hotel sucked. But I updated it bc Sushi and I were going to go to the Love and Deepspace booth first thing after I drop off my things at my table, and they required everyone to be at least lvl 50 or over and to show their in-game uid. We did that bc they were giving out these FREE goodie bags that were given out AT RANDOM. NOW... THESE FUCKING BAGS WERE A WHOLE ASS ORDEAL. All of my other friends who love LADs were able to get exactly what they wanted or traded SOO EASILY... but us omg... With my luck... usually in the game, Rafayel keeps coming home... for Sushi... again she manifested it bc she said "knowing me, I'm going to get Zayne." Lo and behold when it was our time to grab the bags, I got Raf and she got Zayne. The lady in front of us was SO kind bc she asked me what bag I wanted and I said "Xavier" and she immediately switched her Xavier bag with mine and I asked her what she wanted and she said "Rafayel!" So bless her heart!! Now... the real challenge was trying to get Caleb for Sushi... omg. Idk what was in the water that day bc the LADs girls were VICIOUS... SCHEMING LMFAOOOO SCARY!!! I saw this girl who had a Caleb bag who looked like she didn't want it, so I walked up to her, started the conversation FIRST RIGHT, and asked "Hey, are you looking for a different character? Which one?" And she said "I'm looking for Zayne." And RIGHT WHEN I WAS SAYING "Oh my friend has Zayne--" THIS RANDOM ASS CHICK BEHIND ME WHO WAS EAVESDROPPING CAME AND IMMEDIATELY SWITCHED THE BAG-- AND THE GIRL DIDN'T EVEN STOP TO HEAR ME OUT. I just looked at both of them like "Are you serious? I was asking FIRST." Anyway, that pissed me OFF bc wtf!! Where is the principle??? The honor, the community??? There was NONE! I should've known since... so far I have a love and hate w the lads fandom so... I am witnessing the... other side of it huh.

Anyway it's been such a miss after miss... I'm sure Sushi will go in-depth about this bc WOOOW like IT WAS SUCH A STRUGGLE LMAO. Like we were at the trading area and there were like 10 people w Xavier bags and NO ONE WANTED HIM-- They either wanted Caleb or Sylus-- So I left bc I wanted to check up on hun who had been manning the booth, but I went to the bathroom (which... admittedly I got lost REAL bad... I was wandering around for like 15 minutes in circles...). And I was texting him asking if he was alright, and he said he was good and I should just hang out w Sushi more, so I'm like "Okay yeah, since you're good, I'mma go check up on Sushi..."

The whole time I was thinking "If we don't get Sushi this bag today, I wonder if I can get another bag by using hun etc. When I returned to Sushi... she was visibly distraught LKJASDFLKAJ NOOOO she told me the shit that happened during the time I was gone and I was just... FLABBERGHASTED LIKE HUH... NO DECORUM NO RESPECT THESE GIRLS HAD LOOOL. I gave Sushi a hug and I looked around and noticed that all the girls who had Xavier bags left. Then I saw this one chick who had a Caleb bag, and she was looking around while holding her bag, so I walked up to her and ask, "Hey, are you looking for a different character?" And she said "Yeah... Xavier." AND WHEN I HEARD THAT I IMMEDIATELY HANDED HER MY XAVIER BAG AND SWITCHED IT SOOOO DAMN QUICK. NO WAY IN HELL WAS I GONNA LET THAT CHANCE PAST AGAIN LIKE THE FIRST TIME LMFAOO. I went back to Sushi and gave her the Caleb bag and she started to cry SADLKFJASLKD AND I WAS VERY HAPPY THAT WE GOT HER THAT DAMN CALEB BAG OMG. She asked me what about my Xavier bag and I said, "Girl... we saw so many people who didn't want Xavier, I am NOT worried at all." LOOOL But Sushi, being the sweetest that she is, said that we're not gonna leave until we get Xavier bc there's bound to be someone who wanted Zayne. And man... not even like 10 minutes later, we see a girl with an Xavier bag and Sushi immediately clocked that the girl did NOT look like a Xavier girl but a Zayne girl. Sushi having a Zayne bag asked her, and surprise surprise, she WAS a Zayne girl and so we were able to get an Xavier bag for me! LMFAOOO Again, Sushi will prob go more in depth about this bc MORE THINGS HAPPENED ON HER END WHILE I WAS AWAY--

I can NOT believe we went through all this for FREE BAGS-- and the thing is... the frustration did not come from the bag itself, but just... the lack of mutual respect when it comes to the trade LMAOO LIKE??? I am shocked at the underhanded tactics people will resort to at the expense of others... But anyway, we got our mans at the end of the day! We then waited in line to take pictures with the cut outs and it was cute! Though we said that it would've been nicer if they had cutouts that were more interactive??? We took a commemorative photo w Zayne bc it began and ended w him... the one who caused so many problems but solved them... love u.. .LOOOL

We then saw the booth for the new Silent Hill game and we thought it looked cool and we had nothing better to do so we stood in line. While we were in line, I saw this REALLY GOOD Ace cosplayer, but was too shy to ask since he had this whole crew, but Sushi asked if he could take a picture w me-- but wooow what a good cosplay! HAHA The Silent Hill booth was nice, they gave lil freebies and we went through this maze and Sushi and I were acting dumb in there (luckily no one was in there w us to see) and we took a cute photo w the statue HAHA None of us would make it out if were were in that world LOL

Then we walked around artist alley for a bit to look at different booths-- surprisingly I didn't buy anything-- mostly bc I didn't have my cash and I didn't wanna use my card HAHA But I looked around w Sushi. There was this one booth were we REALLY loved the art and they had so many cute things. We were actually contemplating on buying stuff, but this Rafayel cosplayer was like "DO YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS?" Which surprised us, and we just said no, just looking before buying. AND THEN THIS CALEB COSPLAYER WAS LIKE "LINE ENDS HERE." AND WE GOT SO PUT OFF BY THE BARKING THAT WE LEFT LOOL LIKE... LINE??? I definitely understand if the table was SUPER CROWDED... BUT GIRL THERE WAS 4 PEOPLE MAX TO THE SIDE AND WE WEREN'T EVEN IN THE WAY!!! Anyway... yea we just left bc what was going on. There was a lot of really good artists, but bc things are SO MUCH MORE EXPENSIVE, had to be more picky w what to buy... We really wanted to find some really good Bakugo merch and Sushi did buy me this SUPER cute Bakugo charm!!! I prob might make another post about just... some trades, I didn't trade TOO much but, tbh it's enough for me bc I'm tired! haha. Around like 2pm or so we returned back to the table so I can help out (bc... technically I AM supposed to be "working") HAHA but man... all of that happening and it was still only 2pm... Majority of my time at the table was a blur, I conducted trades and talked to a lot of people and it was nice!

When it was done, we went to eat at this okonomiyaki place and the food was good! Ate good takoyaki and Sushi chose a good flavor! We ordered some.. what was those drinks... omg i'm forgetting the name... but I had this calpico alcohol flavored drink.. v good... i feel like if I had two i would've had a nice buzz but I didn't wanna drink bc I had to wake up early HAHA

Day 3.

Sushi had to leave SUPER EARLY and I woke up to see her off and it was so fun having her over!!! Seriously... feel like we did a lot in a short amount of time but NOT ENOUGH HAHA

Surprisingly Saturday was like... the least busiest day for me??? It was v slow-- I mean IT STILL WAS A V GOOD DAY BUT JUST SLOW IN COMPARISON TO THE OTHERS. I did see less Saturday only badges compared to 4 day badges. I also think that the HIGH price point for the badges made it so that the badges didn't sell out in comparison to other years despite it not having a cap-- which not surprise... like you had to pay almost $200 to go to a convention to spend MORE money??? I did more art trades w mutuals this day-- and one of my mutuals was in a maid costume conducting interviews for his youtube video and I was RAMBLING TOO MUCH LOL I FEEL BAD-- HE GIVES OFF JUST V CHILL VIBES. He asked me what was the best seller at this con and I said besides my LADs stuff, it was actually the last minute Kpop Demon Hunters sticker sheet I made. Like... we ran out of it by day 2 but hun found someone who was doing rush orders and so we got a fresh batch that morning-- WHICH IS GOOD BC YEA PPL REALLY LIKED IT. Anyway I also traded w another one of my mutuals and we gave each other so many of our LADs merch HAHA. I love... having art mutuals fr... they are so kind and giving and tbh I think tabling has made me a lot more closer to a number of them bc I was able to meet them irl outside of just online??? SO I AM THANKFUL OF THOSE OPPORTUNITIES.

I regret not taking photos w this REALLY GOOD DEKU COSPLAYER WHEN I WAS IN AA-- SMH I SHOULD'VE ASKED BC I COULDN'T FIND HIM AGAIN-- NOR ANOTHER GOOD DEKU COSPLAYER-- I'm sure there was a lot but the convention was SO BIG. I did find this Bakugo cosplayer when I was leaving artist alley and I wen to him and asked for a picture and he nodded and patted the little Bakugo on my head HAHA why was my ass cheesin' so hard smh. I don't even remember what we ate for dinner this day-- OH it was at this Japanese restaurant... I had gyudon bc I wanted something light bc I was feeling this sick feeling??? Idk what it was but I felt like I needed to throw up, and so I didn't want anything that was too heavy on the flavors... and I ate that shit UP LOL

Day 4.

This was the last day and the shortest, but it was WAAY busier than Friday and Saturday. I guess the 4 day badges came back to make their last rounds and they were making REALLY big purchases this day and I always get surprised. I had this exclusive LADs bundle that was $70 and the fact that people were buying it... thank you LOOL BUT IT IS A GOOD DEAL SO I'M V THANKFUL. I walked around a bit in the morning too and stopped by diff tables. I randomly stopped at this random one and the artist said that I'm free to trade w her w anything so we did and she was SO NICE LOL. V good art too! I didn't really talk to my table neighbors besides the one to my left-- they were super nice! I did have a mutual two tables down that had a bunch of BakuDeku stuff and she was SOOO nice so we ended up trading stuff too. I also met one of my mutuals who I've known back in 2013 on Art Amino. She's the one in the Bleach cosplay (blue wig) and it was SUCH A TREAT! She was SO FUNNY AND NICE LOL I said her boobs sit pretty and she said "Ayee they're fake" LOOL. Then at the end, hun had me go around and get some free stuff that artists were giving away... I feel like I should do that w some of my prints that aren't moving HAHAHA then we drove back home... ate some panda express bc I was craving orange chicken...

Overall, I didn't have like SUPER high expectations at AX considering that there were a little over 1000 artists this year, but I was def v happy to make back expenses and meet my goals. I think that I should also play more on niche stuff that I enjoy-- the fact that my best seller was my Kpop Demon Hunter sticker sheet I made last minute... and it's STILL a hot seller... I spent v little money but that's bc I was mostly at my booth or trading. I met new people and reunited with other friends... spent time w hun and Sushi and it was just a great experience! It wasn't hot and not as muggy nor stinky as it could've gotten-- the less stressful AX experience despite me tabling there! I really hope I can get in again next year-- if not hun and I might probably go just to experience the different booths and explore more bc that would be nice to do as well since he hasn't fully experience AX.

omg hi hi thank you!!! i appreciate it a lot! Natsu will always be a comfort character to draw, esp when I draw him w Lucy HAHA I use Clip Studio Paint EX to draw and all the main brushes I used are ones I downloaded on the asset store that are free! A number of them got deleted unfortunately, but I never really stick to one set anyway and there are brushes that could imitate the effect anyway! For sketching (and sometimes coloring) I use this set

Another sketching/lining brush is this one

Coloring: I can't find the exact set because I think it's been taken down, but I have this set and I like layering w it if I'm not using the other one.

Those are some of the brushes I use BUT I also use the default brushes on csp too. Especially if I want to have a more typical anime-esque style!

i lost one of my sasuke jibbitz that came w my sasuke crocs and idk when it fell off. i feel so incomplete... like a character who has a set look every day, those crocs are vital to my look. i wear those shoes almost every day... how could i be so careless... i am distraught...
