What defines a community's culture? The first things that come to my mind from the word "culture" are arts & theater, but a community's culture develops wherever the locals gather to eat, drink and be merry! It's supported by the resident entrepreneurs who share their expertise, services and talents with their neighbors. It's sculpted and defined by its real estate. However, a community’s culture is a constantly evolving intangible represented by the people living within it. By featuring these neighborhoods’ local artists, theaters, restaurants/bars, small businesses and real estate, this blog seeks to explore the community culture of Jacksonville's urban core (Riverside/Avondale, Murray Hill, Springfield, San Marco/St. Nicholas).
